Instead of using styrofoam you might want to consider either XPS foam (extruded polystyrene foam) or DUF (Density Urethane Foam). They are easier to sculpt and put clay onto.
Another great video. A slightly easier character to do then previous but it still looks great. I want to try my hand at scuplting again but clay is hard to come by right now.
Have you ever thought of using spray paint and masking tape to make the paint more smoother. In videos I notice small unnoticeable chunks from the paint brushing
