- Another knucklehead trumpet high note video since many people seemed to enjoy the last one!
This time around it features (in order): David Csizmadia, Brian MacDonald, Joshua Kauffman, Andy Greenwood, Kenneth McGee, Eric Miyashiro, Wayne Bergeron, Arturo Sandoval, James Morrison, Bobby Shew, William Ward, and Louis Dowdeswell!

i filmed the 3rd clip of Josh Kauffman with the Army Blues at Chantilly High School in Virginia. This was at the end of “Ya Gotta Try”

If I had to say who I thought displays the highest range I would have to say Arturo Sandoval. Only one example of him but the notes he hits are another level. Only person I have ever heard play all 4 octaves every note up to quadruple C. If there are others I haven't seen that example.
They're out there; just keep searching and having fun when you find them. I honestly haven't heard any one trumpeter go higher than everyone else, but there are many who have hit equally the highest notes I've heard: Maynard (of course), and yes, Arturo Sandoval, but check out Lynn Nicholson, who played in Maynard's band in the '70s (several vids from him right here on RUclips), and go back in time and check out Clark Terry, Jon Faddis and especially Cat Anderson. Personally, I heard a guy in the late '70s who was the lead trumpet player in Colorado State's jazz band: Ed Goodman. Dude stole the show at the Reno Jazz Festival in '76 and '77. I may or may not have a bootleg cassette hidden away in a box in my garage of those performances. Enjoy!
Look up trumpet sizzle he has played a quadruple g lmao he’s hella consistent with his highest stuff too
@@whydoialmosthave500subs4 Oh the infamous trumpetsizzle... He can pump out some high notes but that's about it as far as I can tell (because that's all he does - look at the "quadruple quintuple d video or whatever). He's also not a very nice person. On the other hand the people in the video play music while using the high notes as part of it.
Maynard is where most of these players got their inspiration. Maynard is the best lead trumpet player ever.
@Wayne Britton I think that Lynn Nicholson is much better at high notes than Arturo Sandoval
A lot of good stuff. I particularly like the first one. I don't know what to call the chord progression, but I think of it as "Mexican". He also has the tone I like, and easily squeals out that A (double A???) at the end.
