- The WREXHAM FC stadium expansion project is expected to be a massive undertaking, but one that could potentially bring significant benefits to both the club and the local community. Reynolds and McElhenney have expressed their commitment to revitalising the Racecourse Ground and turning it into a modern, state-of-the-art facility that will not only enhance the match day experience for fans but also provide a platform for the club to thrive in the long term.

Thank you. You have shown me how the whole stadium functions. I had no idea.
I don't know if there is anything more to show other than just the inside.
@@WrexhamAFCfanzone I'm sure you find other ways to give me insight. Thanks again.
Not a problem, Frans. I will have a look inside the stadium at some point so that might interest you.
@@WrexhamAFCfanzone All I have seen sofar is the documentary images so anything will be fine. Thank you.
If the club can do a deal with the university for that residential block and parking lot. Between that, the vacant land behind the temp stand and filling in those corner spaces. It looks like there is plenty of room to build up and improve the race coarse site and not build a new stadium elsewhere! Is that perhaps one of the reasons for the delay and redesign of the new kop stand? Trying to conclude a deal with the university.
I just have this feeling the uni won't move. They had an opportunity to rebuild the student accommodation elsewhere on site. They knocked down some old student accommodation , not by the ground and sold the land to a developer instead and they have built houses.
The big area behind the temporary stands could be built up...and made2 tier..with stuff underneath. Like a concourse with places to eat and bathrooms or some such. I think unless you get all the ok's from the local govt etc, your gonna have to figure a way to do itin stages so you don't lose seats and revenue during the season. Also, you can't move the place, it's too historic. But if you did build up and into the fourth side, the temporary stands then you could make have the pub give up some of those parking spots and let people park essentially around the corner .
I think as long as the staff and players have parking that would be adequate, we are going to have sort out long term parking with park and ride for the future. Lots of fans are parking on housing estates and driving people crazy. I don't think Rob and Ryan would move the ground but if they did they would have make sure the land was used for the community and never built over. Building up is definitely the way, I agree.
Enclosing the corners is good, but perhaps the next direction to build would be up? Add a second tier to the cold brew and lager stands (or demolish and replace them), and build the new kop to two tiers? It looks like the footprint of the stadium can't be expanded much beyond the current boundaries on 3/4 of the site, so there really will be a hard limit on how many seats can be put into place without expanding upward.
I think they might well be building up to make the stands bigger. No other way really other than move and I don't think they will do that. We can't expand much, we have housing estates, a railway line and a university around us.
I'm hoping that the explanation of the new stadium has more handicap accessible amenities. Please keep your most loyal fans happy.
Wrexham FC are really good with disabled fans. We have platforms for wheelchairs, a quiet zone with autism sensory room and a great disability officer.
Wow..not a lot of land to build out, unless you build up. Might take some funds to guarantee safety and functionality, but worth it in the long run. Enclosing those corners definitely would help.
Hi Judi, yes we are limited in land available to us. Hope you had a nice 4th of July!
R&R have said they eventually want the stadium to have 55,000 seats. 55K, baby! Dream big or go home.
Not going to happen, but maybe 30k
Great video Tom. I love that they will fill in the corners. How many seats do you think they can fit in all four corners?
I really don't know! Just looking at the 700 extra they put in for the temp stand and they just had 3-4 extra rows but it was long. I am guessing maybe each corner could hold an additional 500 at the very least, taking into account they would rebuild the stands and build up. The temp stand corners being considerably bigger , maybe they would hold 700-800 more. I was looking at the seating and each block holds more than you think
@@WrexhamAFCfanzone I think you’re right.
No reason with the corners and new stand it can't be developed like Stoke City. This could get to 17,000+ capacity.
I think we would probably be looking at a minimum of 30,000. Stoke City have a nice ground, very impressed with it.
Designing a 'new' fully enclosed stadium that has to be done piece by piece, while still remaining functional is an architect's nightmare!
But once that gets fully enclosed, the place will be so loud it will wake the dead. I pity anyone is student housing during game days.
It is loud now but I know what you mean, being enclosed it will really amplify it. I am surprised the students have never complained really because on match days its noisy, busy and must affect them.
Need an airport for all the tourists 😂
LOL not in Wrexham though! We do have one 50 miles away in Manchester which is a big international airport, Liverpool too which is 40 odd miles away. Hawarden airport is a private airfield for British Aerospace,. just 10 miles away. So if you have private jet, Hawarden is your place!!
YES!it's mading pipe-breath 😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉
Who owns the Student Accommodation ?
The university afaik.
I like the drone shots; you do a solid job with them, and the commentary is always great. In the US, you must get a partial pilot lic for drones if you use them to make money. Is it the same there?
I have to say, when I watch The Champions League, Borussia Dortmund is one that I like following. I think it's primarily because of the Yellow Wall. Now, with that said, since they are redesigning the Kop, a nice big Red Wall for the Wrexham fans and supporters would be amazing, I personally think. But I'm from the US, and bigger is always better in my book, but I am sure locals may not want that.
I thought I would share this since I am here in case you haven't seen it ruclips.net/video/DwmxqruYwxc/видео.htmlsi=fHkD9vIUEvC38vEE
Here you need an operator ID if you own the drone and a flyer ID. You do a test and get a certificate from the CAA. As my drone is under 249g I can fly it pretty much anywhere as long as I don't go over prisons, airports, large crowds of uninvolved people. You have to label it with your ID. My friend has bigger drones and she had to do different exams and has different permissions for when she uses hers.
@@WrexhamAFCfanzone, that sounds just like what we have to do. What kind of drone are you using?
It's the DJI mini 4 pro.
@@WrexhamAFCfanzone I thought it had to be a DJI, I'm still waiting to see if they will ban them in the States.
Yes I have been hearing the Dji drones may be banned in the USA. Would people who already own one be forced to give it up?
