People are so ungrateful. They don't see the blood, sweat, and tears that those two have poured into the c!ub and the community. They don't see the hours sacrificed behind the scenes. Those two are making good business choices. If you don't want it we would love them to invest in our teams, then you can go back to a rundown, losing , club.
For everyone who praises something there are always those that don't. It's human nature and some people just genuinely liked the way it was ran before. Maybe they were happy with national league games. Me I love where we are now and think we should aim our sights even higher.
a certain amount of tickets should automatically be saved for the original local fans which have to be picked up from the stadium that way still keeping them happy
There are no tickets available for most games. They are also moving away from ticket pickup as they want it on done online with e tickets. People who are not season ticket holders become members and that enters them along with other members into a way to obtain tickets. Some manage to get tickets all the time, depends on luck, perseverance.
I’ll word it different, give priority to X number of locals to keep the community feel. Rather than loads from outside the postcode
Hi , Only 70 tickets are kept for people out of area already. The 70 tickets are usually allocated to people who visit from the USA, Canada or anywhere else from around the world. If that allocation for any given game is not used then local fans get the tickets.
it feels like it will take another 3 years just for them to start building the first part of the kop stand.
Hope it's not that long!!!
Thanks for great info 🥰
You're welcome and thanks!
Ungrateful sods!
LOL that is what my Dad said, more or less!
Are the train tracks over there are remnants of old times or are they actually a functional entity?
It's a fully working train station.
It now looks like a very wise decision that Rob and Ryan made to go ahead with the temporary stand, on many levels. The fans not only had a couple thousand extra seats for last season, but will for next season as well. Plus, there’s just a psychological benefit to seeing a “complete” stadium with four sides while we wait for the new Kop.
Yes I agree. The temporary stand is a way to get more in plus like you said it helps the team no end. Both goal mouths have our fans in, spurring them on. It would be good if they could somehow put a cover on it though for fans attending in the winter.
you think that everything that has taken place since the new ownership things would be much easier to complete
I know! But at least we know where we stand and its just a waiting game now. We are gaining 700+ seats so that is something.
Thank you for the update, I get most of my info from the GOAL and other sources, but you're always on top of it.
I appreciate that! Thanks!
Fyi ... Wrexham do watch and keep track of social media postings and fan channels.. Like yesterdays lol... Yes a few issues with the kopp stand came up and i did hear that they wanted to make the kopp stand bigger months ago as the plan on it being a bigger staudium ... As fans i think the club didnt want to try and explain all the crap going on behind the scenes with the land issues with prior owners and council.... Fans just need to he patient really i think its just all in due time... Problems from previous owners .... A prior ceo i havent heard good things about and working with the council is sooo slow... I had a friend who is involved with the premier league at a high level and he attended wrexham months ago... He said they are on the right track and its just working on prior commitments and dealing with crap from prior owners ... Its hard bevause the football has improved quickly but building the stadium up and the training ground will take time.
I know! My friend works for the club and is always spying on me LOL Prior CEO, you must mean Fleur, yes there were issues with her and staff, to say the very least!
What would really help would be if perhaps you could post a current official plat of property owned by Wrexham afc. I’m sure there is a need for more land but if one can see what is now available it would help. IF the vacant land beyond the temporary stand to the road is owned perhaps sliding the pitch in that direction would allow a large Kop and a similar structure on the opposite end. That’s just a start.

So why don’t the women’s team play there?
They have their own ground at The Rock which more than suits their needs. They have a loyal following but have low capacity attendances which would render the Racecourse ground being too big and expensive to man for small crowds. Maybe in the future they will play at the Racecourse. I went to their last game at the ground and there was around 2,000 fans.
@@WrexhamAFCfanzone , they keep winning. They might have even more. You can't ignore success.
If it was up to me they wouldn't play at the Rock because the owner of the ground did the dirty on a local team. I know there have been calls for Wrexham FC to move from there.
Sounds like a new visitors section would help for a year round destination as well. I never liked the student flats location when they started building them, I see them every time I pass.
The student flats look really out of place with the ground. I am thinking the land we need to buy is towards the back of them.
One element that may go along with "year-round destination" would be hotel accommodations integrated into the Kop, which at some ground have included views of the field for the most premium rooms. Then the company that would be operating the hotel accommodations side would be part of closing the financing gap.
Yeah I thought about a hotel especially if they could buy the student flats! They would easily be converted to decent accommodation. A hotel would be perfect for all our visitors.
@@WrexhamAFCfanzoneI heard they wanted hotel for fans from abroad and they are looking into student accomodation building or building something similar to what United did... They also want to expand to concerts etc and other events to close the gap on financial play ... Sadly it seems the old owners screwed the club and it's taking allot of work to find solutions ....
Im so glad i found your channel i love your dedication to city as club. And fake if you get your voice back i enjoy your dads voice over any ai voice
Thanks so much🙏
As an outsider I want the previous owners to get something. Jail time springs to mind. Seizure of bank accounts for fines from fraud convictions works for me as well. However that could be because I am a vindictive SOB. Nice that Wrexham got an update from the club.
Yeah it’s nice to hear something but nothing we didn’t know regarding the Kop. Although the idea of us being a tear round venue is good news!
I was actually thinking the same thing... and you aren't the only vindictive community member...lol
Good news. Thank you.
Thanks, Frans😀
Wrexham FC Fanzone.....you make this point that you find it unfair that local supporters are unable to get one of the 15000 tickets now available for home games due to the demand of tickets by people who are attached the the team now due to the success of Welcome to Wrexham and RR & RM...... All I ask is where were these fans who are missing out on see Wrexham play in the first division, way back in 2018/19? before the fame, when average attendance was a mere 5000??? It is hard to feel sorry for glory fans, who like people now worldwide, want to get involved in a little bit of the success the club is now enjoying. Locals do benefit more than others, just simply by the rejuvenation of the town they live in, thanks to the football club! why shouldn't Ryan & Rob get interest on the tremendous risk they took, when investing so much money at such a great risk.
Hi , Russelle, I have reported on what others fans have said. Its certainly NOT my opinion by a long shot! I have never said I find it unfair we cannot get tickets?
But of course you are right, our attendances were not as high before the takeover. I had a season ticket but didn't really need one as no games were ever sold out.
Looks like they extending the kop to 3000 sits now. which means it's going to take a while before development actually begin. that being said, I'm glad to hear they ending up buying the land around in order to be able to make the Kop Bigger.
Its more or less what I mentioned in my video about the land grab. Land possibly owned by previous owners, unless they sold it on to the uni. I knew about the extra seats last week, did hint at it in one of my videos but wasn't allowed to say anything.

Thank you for making my weekend great.
Any time, Frans
Rob and Ryan have lent several million pounds to Wrexham. I suspect that is a lot more than the amount that they have pocketed from the documentary. However, with rules limiting players salaries to a percentage of turnover, Wrexham would have a higher ceiling, and smaller loans, if the documentary money was added to the club's turnover.
Yeah I think there is a lot of business calculating going on that benefits both parties.
Another good one, thanks! And Happy Father’s Day to all if today is the day over there. It’s always the 3rd Sunday in June in USA. Not a father myself but have a good day!
Thanks. 🤩
I’m sure it has to be torn between two places! Filming for Deadpool or going to the game. I know Ryan was mostly watching the game anyway so I’m betting he would have rather been there.
I spoke to Shaun Harvey after the game, video is here amongst the promotion vids. He said Ryan was unable to attend because of filming/work commitments and same for Rob apparently. I think Deadpool had wrapped. Ryan was filming Mayday. If you look at some of the photos he was wearing a navy costume. Rob is in town right now overseeing different things.
Every club is doing price increases nothing new.... Training location will always take time.... As fans we expect everything right now....but this will take time... Fans have to be paitent .... This stuff all costs huge money and you cant expect people to sink millions and million in over night ... The tv show money is rob and ryans and the money they bring in via sponsor and new fans is going towards wrexham... I think it would of been better for ryan and rob to say ... We have a 10 year plan and within those 10 years we would like to add the following based on .....
We make a lot of money from the show without actually having payment from it. Sponsors, merch, new fans, it all adds up. I think once the season starts people's minds will turn towards the football and the grievances of the minority will ease a bit.
with the age of drones being so common now, all these clubs need to start figuring out how to clean those roofs lol
The stand roofs are absolutely filthy. I think they should clean them up and sell the space to advertisers!
Thanks for the awesome aerial views of your lovely town! It's Father's Day here in the US - do you celebrate it there too? Either way, Happy Father's Day to you Phil! 🎉
Yes we do. We give cards and a gift! Interesting its the same day, our Mother's day is different. Thanks again!
@@WrexhamAFCfanzoneFather’s Day in Australia is in September. Mother’s Day is in May. Interesting they are both different considering our joint history 🇦🇺
Hi Penelope, yes that does surprise me actually. I have family in Brisbane, QL who have are now Australian citizens. Their grandparents, parents, all moved out there when Australia did the £10 immigration offer.
@@WrexhamAFCfanzone Ah … we call them the £10 Poms. My mother was from the UK so the ties are still very strong with the motherland
Yeah I think I heard that phrase too! Nice to see there is a connection!
It's amazing how the town looks from the air 👍
It really does look different. I should do an ant's view, some how LOL
Thanks guys. Seeing Wrexham really cheers me up.
Glad to hear that, Frans.
Not being able to fit all your fans into the stadium is a "good" problem and in everyone's interest to get sorted out, which is why there's no need to worry and only patience is required.
It is a problem a lot of clubs wish they had, I agree.
The website still needs a lot of work, but this is an improvement. The documentary is really about the community foremost and I think that's why it's so popular. The online hate, I think is mostly common jealousy and nothing to worry about. Without enemies, you've achieved nothing as a club.
It has become less about Rob and Ryan and more about the people and the club. I do enjoy seeing their silly bits but seeing more of the football action and backstage in the dressing rooms is really something I enjoy.
I am sure the ticket increases are problematic for some due to the costs of living increases but of course part of the issue was likely in part because of the spending going on for League 1. I think fans may not have fully realized how things worked, around Welcome to Wrexham but I think as it was said the sponsorship deals make up for any money the team would have earned from it and the investment to Rob and Ryan. As a fan of Sunderland AFC I have watched a parade of so-so to shocking ownership enter the club and waltz out basically doing very little to keep the club afloat. Our last American basically allowed the team to get double relegated once he got tired of it. Than a car salesmen and now a young rich frenchman that has no idea what he is doing it feels like. I envy the quiet confidence emanating from north Wales by comparison. Though we had your manager in League 1 and he was not really a solution. So hope he does better for you.
I have found it really disturbing what has been going on with Sunderland! You'd think there would be some sort of legislation to protect against owners like this. Wrexham are doing really well so far. I don't see the point in complaining , not yet anyway. Unless things change for the worst we are in one of the best positions we have ever been with, owner and league wise.
Sounds like a bad deal where royalties from the series is concerned, but maybe it was done that way in case the show bombed and failed. Or somebody thought any increased sales of merch and tickets as well as attracting new sponsors was considered payment by whoever negotiated the deal. Never a fan of ticket hikes but two back to back promotions, and plans to build new stands or even a whole new stadium. Is it really a surprise that ticket prices are going up? Think they need to come up with a better loyalty plan, what you described does not sound fair. As for the updates on what is happening with the new stand, maybe they were waiting for the new management team to get up to speed and have them give the update. Not fair to be keeping Wrexham and the fans in dark, they need to start talking to you all. If it is issues within the club, tell the fans and get them resolved, if it is local government holding up the stand build and the new training field. Let the fans know where the blame lies for the delay.
I am not surprised ticket prices are going up but it seems a bit rough that its only the tickets not the season tickets. I suppose they could have offset the rise by lowering the membership fee which really is a lot of money for what it is. I don;'t know if the council is the one behind the delay anymore, I think there is lots of other factors and some we might not be privy to.
At the end of the day, its purely business. But of course, as the saying goes "you can't please everyone."
Never a truer word (s) said , Juan.
Anyone putting the blame on R & R for not starting on the stands, training grounds or academy are just plain ignorant of how corrupt government is, regardless of what country and level you're talking about. All of the politicians have their hands out expecting their coffers to be filled; they will hold everything and anything up until they get their cut, whether they, and usually not, deserve it or not. They don't care about the club or town; they just want to fill their pockets first
There has definitely been a lot of red tape to contend with, even the temporary stand was a mini battle at times.
well, I guess if the fans aren’t happy with the current arrangements, they could always let the owners know. I’m sure Rob & Ryan would start looking for new owners for wrexham.
Ryan Reynolds will betray you one day. Be prepared. He's a nice guy but I'm glad people are watching out. Remember during the interview he did before buying the club someone asked about how he's going to raise money and he said "cash injection, no loans".
I am hoping you are wrong but if he did, the wrath of Wrexham fans would be like nothing he ever experienced! LOL
Why would a show made by Rob and Ryan about the club owned by rRob and Ryan pay money to the club owned by Rob and Ryan? I fail to see that logic…The show is a long form commercial for the club and the town, by all accounts and metrics a stupendously effective one, as both the club, the town, and many of the people featured in the documentary benefit financially from the worldwide exposure and opportunities it brings, directly or residually….
I understand that completely, a lot of people don't and just thought we were getting paid per episode. I think it would have been different if they hadn't have owned the club.
@@WrexhamAFCfanzone Even in that situation, it wouldn’t have been a given - still a commercial for the club and the area, with all the benefits… with the costs of making this commercial paid by the networks buying each series… not by the club or the city… still sounds like a beneficial deal for all involved
I'm not surprised that the Kop and training grounds are delayed. I can't remember where I heard it but I understand that there were issues with the Kop due to something under the ground (sewage lines?) that required a redesign. And from what we saw in the documentary, getting approval for anything seems to take forever due to multiple layers of bureaucracy. The question that has always been in the back of my mind is where do R&R expect to start getting paid? As much as they've done for the club and city, we all know they aren't doing any of this solely out of the kindness of their hearts. With all the plans they said regarding rebuilding the stadium/training grounds/academy, it will be a decade before the club is built up to a point that they can start making $. I don't think they are in for that long. I think we are missing a piece of the puzzle.
They have told the club we can take as long as we want to repay the loan. Of course if something dreadful happened and we got relegated back down into the national league they'd never see their money again. Unless, and I don't even want to say it, they sold the ground!
What is this loan you speak of? Did rob and ryan as individuals loan the club money? Or did they club put up money and the town owes it? @@WrexhamAFCfanzone
To be clear. I have no problems with the ownership and am more the happy the direction the club has taken. This will show you what the loan is: www.reuters.com/sports/soccer/wrexham-says-it-owes-celebrity-owners-11-million-2024-03-29/#:~:text=March%2029%20(Reuters)%20%2D%20League,in%20June%202023%20on%20Thursday.
I am not sure why anyone would be upset that the club isn't making money from the show directly; it's tied to the owners, not the club. Unless they put it into the contract like the Sunderland series, it would leave with them. Nevertheless, money is being reinvested, for the most part, into the club. As for the KOP, when they designed it, I don't think they fully understand the impact they and the show would have, so my gut says they are redesigning it and making it hold more seats. While I may never benefit from it, having an all-wall like Dortmund would be pretty cool to see in Wrexham. If they indeed are going to use temp seats, they for sure need to put a top on it. I think it's great they put a freeze on season ticket holder prices, but that might be more because of the KOP issue if they don't increase, they can't really be too upset about it, but I think there's not much choice on raising single ticket prices but that's me looking from a distance.
For the kop stand they now want a more modular design so they can close the corners and then work bit by bit on the other stands that need improving.
Speaking as a Liverpool fan since the mid 90's who keeps an eye on the other leagues, you neglected to mention the approximate 11 million pounds owed to Rob and Ryan thus far. I would not be critical of them at the moment, Wrexham would still be in the National League or potentially worse circumstances than those levels. Be patient, you are extremely lucky to have them as owners, and they have a marketing team that is building a massive international brand. The money generated is most likely going to those brand creation efforts, which can be very expensive. Kit sales of League One and National League were of charts as compared to other teams at that. Remember, the trust sold them the team without a stadium. It will take time. I look forward to Liverpool playing them in a couple of years as a Premier League club. Just sit back and enjoy the ride to the top league in the world. Patience will see its just rewards.
The money owed to Rob and Ryan is mentioned in the video, both spoken and in graphic form. I am not critical, I was reporting on what other's said. I am really happy with the club's position and our recent promotions. I try to report all news on the club here, both good and bad. Thanks, hope to play you soon too.
That is interesting about the show not sending money to the club but it's not shocking. The show is directly and indirectly benefitting the club, the town, and the League. So I presume the money earned by the show helps pay for the show itself.
Yes it's what I said in the video. Without the show we would not have the sponsors we have or the merch sales we have achieved world wide.
@@WrexhamAFCfanzone Agreed. Companies like United Airlines, HP and Gatorade aren't sponsoring the club because their brands get exposure on EFL broadcasts. Is Stok coffee even available in the UK? Ally Bank is only really sponsoring the women's team because they're getting exposure in the documentary.
We don’t have stok cold brew in the shops here. Hardly see Gatorade either! United fly in and out but not sure they fly from Manchester which is nearest big airport.
Given that the doco can be cancelled any season, it would be risky to include doco revenues in the club balance sheet, and wouldn't be guaranteed to be accepted for fair play rules. Leveraging the exposure for more traditional revenue like sponsorship and merchandising is a much better approach for avoiding points deductions for violating fair play rules.
I think next season might be the last of welcome to wrexham anyway unless we get promoted again. I suppose it all depends if the demand is still there and if Rob and Ryan have the time too.
all the yank ryan reynolds fans explain why he is charging MORE than business rate loans to the club.
I am hoping this will be clarified at some point if it becomes an issue.
It's a tax incentive; his business can loan money to his other business without paying tax on it., you don't have to pay tax on debt. This is why millionaires and billionaires borrow money to avoid taxes.
Where is the information available on the loan rates? Clearly the loans to Wrexham would attract a premium above prime rate if it were a strictly commercial deal, due to the risk, but without knowing the rate, it's hard to judge whether it's a fair rate, a sweetheart rate or a high rate.
I don't know exactly where the rates are myself. I have just seen people discussing them on social media. Do you know @wxmdragonz?
From an outsider these comments seem very out of place. What these two have done for the club and the town is nothing short of miraculous. I’m a Texan who recently took a trip to England and made it a point to drag my whole family 4 hours round trip up to Wrexham to have a look around and shop. People are saying folks on the show are being exploited….really?!? I’m just one of millions of people making their way up to your corner of the world and spending money on items not connected to the club because of the spotlight that’s been shown on your unique town. I think the owners should be shown a bit of grace here, a lot of other clubs would love to have the problems that are being complained about.
Do enjoy the content though….keep it coming.
I 100% agree with you. I am really pleased with where we are now. We are visited from people worldwide and I get to see them on a daily basis. There are people who thought we were raking it in from the documentary, I knew we were not but others are just surprised thats all. I think once the ticket situation is sorted out a lot will calm down.
Another good video, thanks! There is zero chance everyone will be happy about everything, all the time, but safe to say Wrexham is in a much better place than it was 3 years ago, team and town. They need a training ground first and foremost, in my opinion. My guess is the Kop hold up is due to a change in idea of the original plan. Won’t shock me to see the temporary stand for all of next season. And maybe longer. They made a mistake in their pitch to mention that there would be no loans but let’s give them time on that and see what happens. Think they’ve earned some trust but I’m not from Wrexham and haven’t been through everything you lot have. They are human too but they’ve done just about everything they’ve said they would, still no training ground aside. No direct money from the documentary is technically true but the money from all of the marketing as the result of the documentary may be hard to quantify. I paid 33/month to watch all the games last year and if I’m not mistaken, Ifollow gives each club 80% of the revenue. Imagine how many others from USA and beyond did the same? And all the shirt sales? Foreigners visiting Wrexham? Again, be hard to put in actual numbers but the monetary benefits from the documentary but they are real.
We are totally in a better place than three years ago. Like I said in the video without Rob and Ryan there would have been no Mullin, no Lee, no promotion. No big sponsors and no exposure. I am concerned about the loan obviously but lets see how it pans out.
@@WrexhamAFCfanzone I’m with you on the loan and it was a mistake to say “there would be no loans.” Had they not said that, not sure there would be an issue as many owners make loans to their clubs but I’m not a financial wizard so giving them time on that one I think is fair play given all they have done up until now. I mean, look at all the different local charities they’ve donated to. The guys store that was vandalized? So many examples of good will already shown by these two, aside from spending the money to get the team back to back promotions, has earned them a bit of time to get adjusted to doing something they’ve never done before. My guess? They’ll “forgive” the loan, in much the same way the Stockport owner recently did.
Oh yeah, I mean that is something I have highlighted here, the good work they have done for charitable causes.
@@WrexhamAFCfanzone you’ve been more than fair and positive, not only about R&R, but in general. It’s why you’re one of the better channels.
I could just post positive news but the minutes have brought out different opinions online amongst fans and I feel it is important to report on everything, whether its good or bad really.
I feel like as we get promotions back to back, it's putting a financial burden on Rob & Ryan, they need a bigger Shark with them, a billionaire to fund this venture going forward.
I think you are right. Perhaps that is why they sold a 5% stake to the Mexican group of investors? The kop stand is going to cost a fortune and if we do go up another league the championship will need mega investment.
No doubt there will be further equity liquidations to raise capital. The game at the highest levels is too rich for mere millionaires.
When you look at some of the premiership and Championship owners they put Ryan and Rob's wealth in the shadows.
@@WrexhamAFCfanzone The game at the PL is too rich for billionaires. This is a corporate game that requires moving hundreds of millions and the purchase requires consortiums. Simple billionaires can’t afford the price of entry given that most of their wealth is tied in their businesses.
@@WrexhamAFCfanzone, if I can ask, Rob and Ryan have said they want the PFL, but is that what the fans want? Would they be happy to be in, say, just League One, or do you think the expectations are now it is the Premier League, and nothing else is acceptable?
Hmmm...does seem odd, doesn't it?
I am sure more light will be shone on it by the owners.
