One thing that we have found about BLM camping is that they accept National Park Passes (such as the Disabled Camper pass for me). This means that camping is often half priced or free at pay campgrounds. We just stayed at Red Mountain BLM Camp in Montana for seven days, while there was free BLM camping very close by we choose the pay site because of the green grass, shady treed sites and having a camp host who watched over the camp. With our discount we paid $6 a night for a great camp that was only 20 miles from Bozeman MT on the Madison River.
Creativity RV Robin you are doing an excellent job on your videos. They are entertaining and instructional. You hit all the important points. If a persons follows your outline the will be successful. I really like how you reference the department's websites, rules and laws. Keep up the great work!
Noreen N. I have photos on my facebook page or I would be happy to email you the photos of the campground. Just let me know where to send them to. It was a very nice camp with sites right on the river.

I'm getting to the point where I don't have to research anything anymore. Just wait a minute and Robin will do it for you! I need to find places for a Class A on BLM and forest service land and it's a bit dicey at times. Your RV really gets you to all of the places, and that's pretty cool.
Another Amazing Video!! Wow you are really doing some amazing job on your videos!! This will make it much easier for those of us needing info to be able to do this life style!!! Thank You so so much!!!!
Thank you for everything Robin. We get our solar in a month and will be able to start using all the tips here and from your book! Give Big Boy a hug from us!
Fantastic video, Robin. Bravo!!! Miss you, girl! I’d like to add, a key point that many people aren’t aware of, that these public lands are paid for by our tax dollars. Lands set aside for public use PAID by tax payers. Dispersed camping is NOT squatting or freeloading as many haters purport it to be.
Hi Robin! As usual I thank you for your well researched and ever so nicely presented information. I think you ought to consider changing the title of your channel to “RV Angel”. Thank you for your continued effort to shepherd those of us that are hesitant and showing us the way to another way to live.
My husband and I love road trips and this is the first year we are going to camp. He grew up with no real camping and I used to go to registered camp grounds. We are going off grid that's why I'm here. (Not full time just 2 week little get away with the pup.) This has been HIGHLY useful! Thank you!
God bless you for doing all this work And making these videos . I've just retired And hoping within the year To get an RV And start being a full time RV Nomad . This was the one video That really is going to help me Again all your videos Are top of the line And again thank you for taking the time to do it I hope maybe one day I'll meet you on the road . ☮♥✝💪
Really enjoying your channel and how thorough and clear you are about things. You clearly are a teacher and also someone who cares about others. Much appreciated. Hope all is well with you.
This is a great video, thank you!!! I LOVE your enthusiasm! I have been living this lifestyle and mostly on BLM and USFS land (free) for about 10 months now and have never felt so happy and free. But I still have things to learn and this video is a huge help and also very positive and uplifting!
I found your channel a month or so ago...and this video really gave me an education! Never knew about BLM land. Live on the East Coast, so there are bot as many great options, but we went to visit my son innArizona for his Birthday and his annual Birthday camping spot was closed...went on the searches you suggested and found a free BLM campsite at Ironwood National Monument! So glad I watched your videos before our trip to see him! We had a great time! Thanks so much!
I'm loving your channel so much. You are so informative and your information is so timely and relevant. You've inspired me to see if this is a lifestyle I might be interested in. I'm starting with car camping in my local Natl Forests, as I am blessed with 4 of them in NC. Happy travels!
Sheryl, I feel the same way! I am in Colorado and I want to see more of it!! I'm going to start off with car camping and see how I like it. I'm excited to try. I've been watching videos, found Robin, and feel confident that I know enough to give it a try.
Wonderfully Useful Info - Thank You! I've been full-time since Dec '17 and absolutely loving it!! I'm back in NC now, and it's not terribly comfortable (humid heat) and free camping is scarce as hens' teeth! Can't wait to get back to BLM camping. Thanks so much for this great resource!
That's great to hear you are loving it. When you camp along the East Coast and in your neck of the woods, where do you go? I'm curious as I used to live in Virginia Beach and am interested in traveling back that way, maybe up and down the coast. Thanks!!!
Yap we use free campsites and google in... Good advice!!! We just got back from Galveston for my Birthday... had a wonderful time... we are getting ready to get back on the road... Is that the Celestial Seasonings logo on your shirt? I really enjoyed the Celestial Seasonings factory tour in Boulder CO. I grabbed several boxes of their Fast Lane tea the last time I was there - more caffeine than drip coffee.
We went several years ago when we first moved to Colorado. They didn't have any Fast Lane available when we went. However, my husband decided he wanted some and ordered it off their website. It's only sold in stores in Canada. Well, this New Yorker hasn't have coffee at home in years! I can't believe he gave it up for tea!
Thank you so much for all of the helpful information. I just got a b+ and am planning on leaving within a week or so to full time. Hope to meet up someday but I will be marathon watching creativity rv videos while I learn the ropes. I’ve seen most of them but they will take on new importance now. I’ve dabbled around close to home for a few weeks so I won’t be completely overwhelmed. Can’t wait to hit the road for good.

Please make a video to explain. I'd love to live this life, but ever practical, I need to plan everything out first. Thanks!
Hi, Financially we are ready to go nomad but since our 3rd child is still in intermediate School, we are biding our time. Your information is very real and looking forward to hearing more. (Already subscribed)
I have been planning and waiting for the right moment to buy, build and live the life I have been dreaming about in a converted school bus. I LOVE that I found your channel! It seems as though you are my soul doppleganger. I cant wait to meet you somewhere on my journey.
I took off two weeks ago and discovered the Redwood Forests in Northern California. I've been stumbling across campsites on rivers that are half price for Access and with National passes. I'm now looking for BLM camping next.
I love how thorough and upbeat you are! I am putting the money together now, and expect to be buying, probably a skoolie, then starting the build in spring/summer of '19.
I LOVE all of your videos.....I am binge watching them and taking notes. LOL We are on a 3yr plan to do this, and I tell you.....I am dying! I want to do this right now! It's going to be a LONG 3 yrs!!!
Robin Keep them coming! Your videos content is so full of good useful information. Really appreciate it. You have taught me a lot of things. Thank you.
You are so resourceful Robin. One of the things I learned was it has to be 6" to bury "my goods"... if it's less than 6" critters can dig it up and if it's more than 6" it can get into our water system. Robin do you have a collection of what we should do to protect our environment? For instance, I've heard some say it's ok to empty our urine bottle straight into the dirt while others say it's ok and good to pour them on non edible plants and trees. Should all of our water be strained from our sink so it would be ok to drain out to the floor? What's consider ecologically safe shampoo, soaps etc and what could we use to make our own? and such...
I Boondock and as long as I'm out boondocking I wouldn't even consider putting it in a plastic bag and putting it in my vehicle it goes from the bucket to the ground.
Thank you, Robin! Another great, informative video. I have been full time in my RV for coming up on a year now and am ready to explore deeper into the BLM dispersed camping!
As I mentioned in a comment on one of your other videos I haven't embarked on my journey yet but the videos you're putting up are very informative and a big help in understanding what day-to-day life could look like out on the road. Question: Have you done a video on how you provision your food and supplies when you're going to be out in the backwoods for a few days or even a week at a time? Thanks for all of your hard work! P.
I keep a travel planner & your tips are so helpful I write them down. I’m old school that way!! My partner is nervous about BLM but not me! I love the idea of being out in The wilderness & saving money!!
I just started watching you and you have so much great info that we are looking for. Camping cheep or free is what we need. Now I just need to figure out what you do about internet. Lol thank you. 🙏 thank you. 🙏 for all your knowledge shared.
Great information. I have been looking for something like this for a long time. I want to start camping a lot, and paying for the spots gets pretty expensive.
I have enjoyed and learned from every one of your videos, I want to have a travel van ready by next summer, I want to travel every spring/summer/fall and be home for winter. Your tips, ALL of them will come in handy, thank you so much!
at 06:06 you show the BLM's website (state Colorado) and a link to download Colorado's recreation guide. that link is no longer there and i need help to find it...can you provide the link please :)
Great video series. Just the facts and nothing else, I like that. Question, you can buy a Senior Lifetime Pass for $80/one time fee. Here is what their website says: The annual and lifetime Senior Passes provide access to more than 2,000 recreation sites managed by six Federal agencies. · National Park Service , · U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service · Bureau of Land Management · Bureau of Reclamation · U.S. Forest Service · U.S. Army Corps of Engineers The Senior Pass covers entrance and standard amenity (day use) recreation fees and provide discounts on some expanded amenity recreation fees. Is this worth buying to use in the normal BLM or National Forest campgrounds? Just curious.
Thanks for the info I'm watching one video after another. I adopted an expat lifestyle living in Southeast Asia from my VA disability but I'm thinking of adopting a Nomadic lifestyle instead so I can see the USA. This shows me it's possible to do at low cost.
Who would thumb down this video? It was beyond informative and she didn’t waste time!
One thing that we have found about BLM camping is that they accept National Park Passes (such as the Disabled Camper pass for me). Noreen N. I have photos on my facebook page or I would be happy to email you the photos of the campground. Just let me know where to send them to. It was a very nice camp with sites right on the river.
How does one obtain a disabled camping pass? That would be handy as I often have huge med bills. Sometimes we can’t afford to camp.
My countdown begins! Sold my house and I pick up my RV ON SEPTEMBER 1st! Yay!
Yay!!! Good for you
I pick mine up on October 10th.
Better save your money....

Should all of our water be strained from our sink so it would be ok to drain out to the floor? What's consider ecologically safe shampoo, soaps etc and what could we use to make our own? and such...
I was just camping in that area a couple weeks ago. Great videos and great information!
Excellent video, appreciate your enthusiasm :)
Thanks for that! Well done my friend. Rox
Thanks so much. So much good information. I'll be traveling the States next year
Great video, thanks for your time.
P.
Great minds! Working on that
Just what I needed! Thank you! ❤️
I keep a travel planner & your tips are so helpful I write them down. I’m old school that way!! My partner is nervous about BLM but not me! I love the idea of being out in The wilderness & saving money!!

Thank you so much
Did BLM at San Isabel National Forest, very beautiful & near a reservoir!
Another excellent video, Robin! Thank you! I'm in Canada, close to Banff, Canmore, a couple hours from Jasper. Hope you can make it up here one day!😎
This helped a lot. Thank you.
Love your channel! 🧡 Thank you so much for sharing what you've discovered with us. 🌟 You are a wealth of information. 👍🏼 btw, your hair is adorable!
Another great video!! Thanks for the info😁
Great video series. Just the facts and nothing else, I like that. Question, you can buy a Senior Lifetime Pass for $80/one time fee. Here is what their website says: The annual and lifetime Senior Passes provide access to more than 2,000 recreation sites managed by six Federal agencies.
· National Park Service
,
· U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service
· Bureau of Land Management
· Bureau of Reclamation
· U.S. Forest Service
· U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
The Senior Pass covers entrance and standard amenity (day use) recreation fees and provide discounts on some expanded amenity recreation fees.
Thx for your video. You are a wealth of excellent information.
