Another brilliant DVD review! Engine Friends is another absolute favorite DVD of mine and I can take that over Greatest Stories any day b/c at least it has several good memorable episodes on here that fit well (minus a few ones, but still). What I really love is how they added the Ringo Starr US dubs of Saved from Scrap and Thomas & Trevor as both of these were only aired on television via Shining Time Station and not on any VHS or DVD form (Also, I don't understand why this never applies for Percy's Ghostly Trick on Greatest Stories as it feels like a missed opportunity for Ringo's US narration of it to be on the DVD. I still love George Carlin's narration of it too, but still). For Trouble in the Shed, the reason why they added was because it was Percy's first ever appearance in the show. For a few episodes I agree that they should never be included like Strikes Out, Toby's Afternoon Off and Hide & Peep. However, I disagree about having Rusty Saves the Day (for it breaks continuity of the SKR), New Engine, Follow That Flour, Edward the Very Useful Engine, and (the US dub of) Twin Trouble. I disagree with Michael Brandon's US dub of New Coaches because I like the music in this and also since it only aired on TV. Michael Angelis' re-narration was only made for the New Friends for Thomas release and was not meant to be included on other releases. For my choice of other episodes for the DVD, they are: The Deputation (in Twin Trouble's place and it has a strong message with the engines banding together to help Donald & Douglas) Henry's Forest (in Rusty Saves the Day's place) Toad Stands By (in A Bad Day for Harold's place for how it explores Oliver and Toad's relationship) Double Teething Troubles (in New Engine's place and to have a Bill & Ben episode on it) Thomas, Percy & Old Slowcoach (in Hide & Peep's place for it is a true episode of Thomas and Percy's friendship) Toby Had a Little Lamb (in Toby's Afternoon Off's place and for how it shows Toby helping a human) Thomas & the Firework Display (in Follow That Flour's place and one of the hidden gems of Thomas and James' relationship) Respect for Gordon (in Very Useful Engine's place because it's not only the greatest Gordon episodes, but the best Steam Team episodes) It's Good to be Gordon (in Thomas & the Rainbow's place and one of the good S10 episodes that shows Gordon's caring side on full display) Hector the Horrid! (in Edward Strikes Out's place and that Michael Brandon's narration of this ep was never released on home media) It's a shame that this is the last US compilation DVD with some of the model episodes on here. I wish they could've done another one for the 70th anniversary like 1st Class Stories in the UK, and it really shows how much Mattel screwed over the UK and US between broadcastings and DVD sales. And maybe possibly a 26 episode compilation of each of the episodes from the original 24 series.

Having hunted down the UK complete season sets and watched the season 11 episodes that were never officially released, I can honestly say nobody is missing a damn thing. HOWEVER, the completionist in me still wishes they'd get a release...

Like look at this I've made a re-narration of All in Vain with my voice in the video ruclips.net/video/9E39mbdokF4/видео.html. But later in another DVD release my narration will be released next.

I pretty mixed about this one. Some of the episodes I do like on this one. I mean this one has some of the better new series episodes. Exuding Edward Strikes Out. This one I'd only watch a few more the The Greatest Stories.
Michael Brandon is the man, he is my favorite Thomas narrator. If you don’t like him, that’s just your opinion. And I’m okay with that. I am just feeling a bit biased.

People hate on him a little too much if you ask me. And you can tell in his performance he was having the time of his life.
my favorite thomas episodes are saving edward edward and the mail edward strikes out edward helps out respect for gordon edward the great big strong henry percy and the magic carpet gordon takes a dip gordon takes charge you can do it toby and edward the useful engine.
They should’ve replaced some of the episodes with some better HiT episodes like Halloween, Don’t Tell Thomas, Edward the Great, Gordon Takes Charge, Respect for Gordon, Duncan and the Old Mine, Hector The Horrid, Dream On, Gordon and the Engineer, etc.
