Thanks for producing and sharing this informative historical documentary video about the history of my Fraternity - Alpha Phi Alpha. I was initiated into the Fraternity on April 19, 1969, at Michigan State University, and as I grew up I had an opportunity to witness and participate in many of the events and occurrences which are highlighted in this 2-hour video! The last time I had such a detailed and impacting exposure to the history of Alpha Phi Alpha was in 1969 when I carried around Dr. Wesley's then-latest edition of the History of Alpha Phi Alpha and had an opportunity to visit with some of the older Brothers initiating me into the Fraternity at Gamma Tau undergraduate chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha which was located at Michigan State University!

Outstanding! I am elated to have come across this highly informative video on 100 years of leadership within Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. I am a proud member of the Brotherhood and I continue to be impressed with our history and the roles we can play to shape what the future may hold. African American leadership and success must be celebrated in every form/aspect across America and the globe. Thanks to Brother Darryl Morten for sharing and all to the Brothers that made this video possible. 06'

What is the best way to take the masculinity out of the term "Alpha male"?
Answer: Create a fraternity of covert gay men and call them Alphas.

It begins and ends with God not with the Alphas and Omegas. Idolatry is putting anyone/anything OVER God and putting anyone else's feelings and opinions OVER God's opinion. (God killed His chosen people whenever they did idolatry because He takes it seriously.) God says in Ezekiel 6:5, "I will also lay the dead bodies of the sons of Israel in front of their idols; and I will scatter your bones around your altars." The reason why God calls the "fear of the Lord" the beginning of wisdom, is because to "fear the Lord" allows us to value His opinion over our own allowing us to choose heaven.

God will meet you where you are, BUT He loves you *TOO MUCH* to leave you where you are. When you all pledged, it formed a *demonic* covenant and a sin called *idolatry* . All sin is like a paycheck that pays death. Romans 6:23 says, "The *wages* , of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life." We can't serve both idolatry and heaven- we can only *choose* one. We either *choose* heaven and Jesus, by accepting a covenant with Jesus, *denouncing* Alpha Phi Alpha, believing Jesus died on the cross and rose again to wipe out all our sin, and confess all our sins to God- or we *choose* hell if we don't. It begins and ends with *God* -not with the Alphas and Omegas. Idolatry is putting anyone/anything OVER God and putting anyone else's feelings and opinions OVER God's opinion. (God killed His chosen people whenever they did idolatry because He takes it seriously.) God says in Ezekiel 6:5, "I will also lay the dead bodies of the sons of Israel in front of their idols; and I will scatter your bones around your altars." The reason why God calls the "fear of the Lord" the beginning of wisdom, is because to "fear the Lord" allows us to value -*-His-*- opinion over our own- allowing us to *choose* heaven.
Here's God's opinion in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10. " *DO YOU NOT KNOW* that wrongdoers *will not inherit the kingdom of God*? *DO NOT BE DECEIVED* : *Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men* 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers *will inherit the kingdom of God* ."
God sent His son *Jesus Christ* to endure a death more violent than any hazing for you to *choose* heaven. But God compares idolatry to an unfaithful wife cheatiing on their husband- so although He gives mercy, He doesn't do halfway relationships because God is all in with you. He's too pure. He's too holy to tolerate that. Why Jesus says He'll spit us out of His mouth if we're not all in (hot) our relationship with Him. (Revelations 3:16-18) So when God is the one judging on Judgement Day (and not anyone else), why believe anyone else over God when you can *choose heaven* instead? It's you're own eternity which is FAR longer than your entire lifetime!

I tried to join the alphas as a young man. They all felt they were too good for me, so I moved on have achieved a lot in this life without them. I feel that that was a wise choice. I chose instead to become a Freemason. I am now a statesman. I don't look down on alphas, but after my early experiences, I can no longer say that I am impressed. Today's black college fraternities have strayed very far from what they originally stood for. Today is mostly about hazing, homophobia, drinking, gambling and self-loathing over who passes the paper bag test. They have degraded into something that Hollywood has poked jokes at and mirror the infamous boys clubs on majority white campuses. So many of our young men could have been real leaders but chose instead to sell their souls to the banking, finance and political establishments and chose easy women, cocaine and loud music over sacrifice and honor. I respect their choice, as it is theirs, but I have chosen to live differently. Hopefully Gen Y and Gen Z can put their selfishness on hold a bit to learn from what were great men in their past. I know that not all black greeks are like this, but I am shocked at what they have become.
