Looking back on these scenes -- you can see his internal struggle clear as day. Even without the glimpse inside his head of him confessing (which he TOTALLY SHOULD HAVE DONE) that he's doing it for her b/c he loves her. He wants that connection with her back but he has to play a part (or thinks he has to, silly ass boy) so he's trying to cover his tracks. But he can never really hide how he feels about her, his body always gives him away, he can hardly breathe he's so desperate here.
I don't mind this Trina as an actress, but she has about ZERO organic chemistry with Spencer; it feels so forced. It's sad. Can she move on to Rory, please?
