Y'all know this is just my opinion, right?
If Cudi just took the best tracks of both these albums and released it as a singular Insano album it would’ve been a solid 7/10 album in my books

7/10 is too low imo, with tracks like wow, human made, Superboy, blue sky, all my life, and win or lose the combined album could be at least an 8

The albums together is kind of like a Cudi party playlist. He’s on record saying his goal with these albums was to make a collection of upbeat, up tempo bangers for the fans to turn up to at shows. More positive and fun vibes than usual, is what it seems he was going for, for better or worse.

You’re right but on this track list he pulls that off without sounding too one note and derivative. While insano had its highlights most of the tracks sounded the same, even the trap cuts I enjoyed.
The Nitro Mega mix actually sees some change of paces here and there, from better pulling off old Cudi vibes with a new sound, to including loosies where I enjoyed Dose Of Dopeness, to taking what was attempted with Insano but just executing it in a more exciting way.
I feel at least a 7 on this one and it could grow on me more over time vs Insano. I’d def rate this album at or even above Entergalactic.

A few duds on the album, but the highs on this one are much higher than insano. Some super catchy melodies, and you can hear elements of all of Cudi’s sounds throughout his career.
Signature hums are BACK. Great album imo

Agreed. Superboy seemed to have that vintage Cudi aura about it that compelled me to keep that particular song on repeat as opposed to listening to the rest of Nitro Mega
Liked it more than the main album. Finally hearing him with Wiz and Bone Thugs along with the Chip reunions was really great for me to hear as a fan

Willis is unintentionally one of the funniest songs I’ve ever heard in my life
I mean it was meant to be funny, Willis is an alter ego he made up way back to literally be a goofy old man (he even references it in indicud multiple times)
It's very intentional though lol it's two friends fucking around making each other laugh in the studio freestyling.

When I listened to dose of dopeness it unlocked a hidden memory I used to bump that song back in the day!!! Wish Cudi would do something like Drake did with Care Package and re release some of his older songs that aren’t on streaming services

I was looking forward to this review, I loved this second part of the album. It made me so happy when I first played going into the gym.
Thing with kid cudi lateley is that his motm series was relatable and had that vibe to it , insano and entergalctic dont have the relatable vibe or that classic kid cudi sound , i fell in love with his music in indicud and insano just aint that
entergalactic def does. the highs on that are some of Cudis most relatable work, insano on the other hand is really hollow.
I personally love this deluxe album, I give it a 8.5
The fact Anthony will entirely digest and give great ratings to garbage rappers with “party albums” and then critique people like Gambino and Cudi on their party songs and dismiss them even with great vocals and instrumentals in comparison to the others he praises… IDK, not sure Anthony is great with rap music tbh

In my opinion INSANO 1 is better, there might be some higher moments on NITRO MEGA but as a whole the original feels way more like an actual album experience. I also feel like there’s no track that tops Blue Sky from the original.
Hey could you look at the album “When we were Younger” by Grentperez. It is a fun latin and jazz influenced album from 2023 and it has may favorite song of the year “When the day is done”

I really feel like when it comes to cudi you are just always off the mark. Every time you listen to a Cudi album it gets better you recognize the genius more every listen. I usually agree with your reviews but not when it comes to Cudi.

Honestly a 5 is valid, both albums he put out have great tracks on it but it felt like a good chunk of filler. The best tracks on each album would have made a great standalone album

Light 8 for me. Way, way better than Insano. Insano pales in comparison to Nitro Mega in my opinion. But I still get a Travis Scott Utopia vibe but its better here for sure. Am happy with this one!
