I did hear about that. Makes me wonder what lead up to it. Bags are left unattended at airports all over the country every day and it usually doesn’t force an evacuation.
As Tom mentioned, KOA does have an 11,000 foot runway, and 6,500 feet is plenty for a 717. That said, as a private pilot myself, I was always taught to use all available runway to give you the most time possible to plan if there’s a problem. Anyway, thanks for watching guys.

Thank you for sharing. Happy 4th of July to you. If you are still there in Hawaii then you have it so good!!! I mean boy oh boy!!! On the holiday today Monday and in Hawaii!! Just nice... I hope this flight was not crowded and that you did not have any one next to you!!!
And it is nice when the cockpit knows the takeoff length of the runways for their aircraft with consideration of a few factors!!! Nice...It seems the 3/4 of the length of the long runway was enough as the aircraft turned left into a takeoff mode!! nice.
You and me both. Thank goodness the flights are so short, otherwise no one would ever be able to enjoy the world class tourist attractions Hawaii has to offer because their backs would be too sore from Hawaiian's 717 seats haha.
Remember flying hawaiian AND Aloha airlines intercontinental in 90s and early 2000s. What lovely smells and fights during these times. Keep those hawaiian videos coming!
Hawaiian has was called “extra comfort” on their A321’s and A330’s. I think they charge extra for the extra rows and bulkhead on the 717’a but they’re not technically extra comfort seats.
No adhesives involved. Using something to physically stick the phone to the aircraft is a good way to get the flight attendants mad at you. I hold the camera by hand and to make sure I get the vest footage possible.
It's an approach that is often used for Hawaiian's 717's to slot them in front of other, larger, traffic already lined up miles out. It's fairly common for the island hop arrivals form Kahului, Hilo, and Kona.
What a stunning flight that was. Blue sky, blue sea, fabulous scenery! Many thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it my friend!
Wow!Wonderful takeoff, awesome 👌 landing, nice 👍 views 👌, enjoy this video very much, thanks.
Cant get over this amazing engine sounds
Great fly! Have you heard people was evacuating at JFK Airport Terminal 4 due to unattended bag?
I did hear about that. Makes me wonder what lead up to it. Bags are left unattended at airports all over the country every day and it usually doesn’t force an evacuation.
HOW DO YOU HAVE ALL THE MONEY FOR ALL THESE TRIPS
The ad revenues form the channel haha. Seriously, that covers a lot of it now, but not all of it. It’s a big chunk of it though.
Pilot: why should I roll to the beginning of the runway? Co: yes, lets do a dynamic takeoff starting half of the runway!
I think that is a 11,000ft runway, and from where he took off he had 6500 ft left to use...Good enough for a 717 lightly loaded.

It is so nice to see the Ocean Reef Runway there and an aircraft is lining up to use it. There at 35:24! Very nice...
Thanks my friend. Happy 4th to you too. Sadly, I’m not in Hawaii right now. This was filmed earlier this year.
@@sla31 Cool. At least you had a great time there in Hawaii. Very nice..
That's Cool Bro>👍being like Kona To go Honolulu XD
They tell me the most close you are to the pilot, the most quiet it is and that something the 717 have, very cool. Excellent video
That’s true, but I prefer to sit in the back by the engine haha 😆
I really like how the 717 engine starts
It sure helps when you’re just a few inches away from it. Thanks for watching my friend!
Seeing these jets everyday here is so nice! I hope to ride on one of them to another island.
Stunning approach ⭐️
It really was. Thanks for watching my friend!
Awesome flight onboard B717-200 N475HA Hawaiian B717-200 look beautiful in Hawaiian Colors.
Stunning 🤩
Thanks my friend!
Forever a vibe🤙🏾☀️🌺
RW 8R ?
This was actually 8L. 8R, the famous reef runway, is the runway visible in the thumbnail that you can see before we like up for 8L.
Love your Hawaiian 🌺 🌺 Airline’s content so awesome thanks for sharing Stylite productions
As always, I’m glad you enjoyed it my friend!
Nice clear flight all the way from KOA to HNL. I liked the B717 better when they had the softer seats as originally purchased by HAL.

@@sla31 Or they'd all go fly Southwest (bigger planes, softer seats, even for inter-island).
That approach was crazy! Just looking at the last turn.
The short approach into HNL’s 8L is always fun. Thanks for watching my friend!
Awesome! Hope to travel to Honolulu one day.
It’s expensive, but worth the trip, IMO. I hope you get there one day!
You will love Honolulu. It is gorgeous!!

I’ve always got more Hawaii content on the way! No worries there!
Great short flight. Do they have a economy extra.

Another beautiful high quality video.thanks guys
Thanks for watching my friend!
I'm flying this same route in August on my way home from Kona. 😍 Love your videos!!
I hope you have a great time! I’m glad you enjoy the content my friend!
Is the water really that blue or did you edit the video?
The water is really that blue. My videos are edited as little as possible. Thanks for watching!
GORGEOUS
New sub! Liked 🐟🙏👍🧨
Welcome my friend! Glad to have you around the channel. Thanks for subbing and watching!
Awesome intersection takeoff! Great video!
Thanks for watching my friend!
Did you see my takeoff video from KOA on a Hawaiian 717?
First and how do you film the camera on the window do you like duck tape your iPhone to the window of the airplane
No adhesives involved. Using something to physically stick the phone to the aircraft is a good way to get the flight attendants mad at you. I hold the camera by hand and to make sure I get the vest footage possible.
@@sla31 How do you have enough memory for all them videos
I travel with three iPhones. One 1TB iPhone 13 Pro and two 512GB iPhone 12 Pros.
HOW DO YOU HAVE THE Money FOR ALL THESE Trips?
why not just use a suction cup mounted go pro or iphone holder
Perfect!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching my friend!
Why do they have that last second turn into RWY 8L

The Pacific is so beautiful!
