Congrats once again! Glad to see Kristyasworn has a chance to crack in the S-tier decks. You're doing the light's work man :). I wanted to pick your brain on Soul of Purity and Light. I'm currently testing running 0 and have been doing well (but I don't play in big tournaments admittedly). Reasoning being that this deck generally loses when it can't play its opening hand and Soul contributes to the dead hands. It does facilitate summoning Kristya in the late game, but that implies the deck has been able to mill to get to that point. Glorious Illusion has been a fantastic innovation to push this deck forward and does help to a similar extent by getting Celestia/Shire out of the GY when you have 5 fairy.
I’m a huge fan of soul of purity at 2 specifically. 3 (in my opinion) is very bricky and you see it too often. I wouldn’t divert away from running her. Sometimes throughout a run she’s been so good I did want 3 but I have to tell myself no lol
@@Edisonclub2010 Yeah not going to say the card hasn’t done well, but there’s also X amount of games that I feel the deck FTKs itself when it draws too many bosses and Souls in the opening hand. My thought was trimming down on the bricks as much as possible and running more engine and power staples to boost consistency.

I've been playing James' KristyaSworn and I moved Chimeratech Fortress Dragon into the side just to have more space in the extra. People don't anticipate how easily the deck can make level 8s, so I feel like you wanna be keeping the RDA especially if you move to 3 soul. What do you think of only playing synchros in the extra?
I always like having fortress in the extra, I know sometimes it’s a hassle to make room and find the slot, but it’s definitely there. I try to make the side deck 15 cards I know I’ll need across the board for a tournament run.
I do honestly. You need something to bring their ceiling down, it stops Vayu, Allure, Caius, D.D. Crow, DAD, also, it stops D Prison, and Bottomless Trap Hole. It’s kinda like Royal Decree Jr in most cases. Just gotta watch out for TT & Mirror Force
Iron Wall is fantastic against the decks that it floodgates while at the same time rendering their sided banish cards like D.D. Crow and even worse Soul Release ineffective.
It’s actually, such a terrible matchup. It’s the most unforgiving, for sure. If you don’t get the ball rolling turns 1-2, you’ll just get outpaced so fast.
