Ben Lerner is right. The approach he describes aligns with my literary journey from the Beat Generation to the Romantic Poets. My subsequent discovery of Harold Bloom taught my to trace the poetry I treasure back to Paradise Lost, Milton’s mountain of vision, which revealed the Miltonic-Romantic tradition.

    At skrive er en gave
Today, the key to good writing is the keyboard.
A Frenchman uses "un clavier" for his notes.
With the ''Tastatur'' the Germans comes in tasty form.
And a Swede tries to scratch the circle with his "tangent".
As you can see, it can be so different.
But a simple pen will do if you want to make a penny.
Very long ago the fathers of writing took a goose feather.
That gave a good reader goosebumps.

I was just reading an article of Ocean Vuong's favorite poets/writers and I ended up here cause Ocean mentioned Ben Lerner. Such a serendipity!

@@alexdits9403 he celebrates violence, sexual assault, and narcissistic personalities who seek to control, dominate, and abuse; he is obsessed with the lie that human violence is beautiful and even erotic.
