My grandma is dying. I'm so lost and depressed bc of the memories and my childhood she leaves behind. Yet somehow, your words and baking/cooking from your grandmas recipes gives me comfort about her passing I can't ever describe. I want to both thank you and cry my eyes out to the point where there's nothing left but a sea of emotions and love.

Isabel... Please look into food forests and the way they work.... They are easy to maintain, it works on permaculture techniques. You can have trees and a garden, they work in harmony. You will be able to feed yourself for a lot longer. My sister grows a food forest in South Africa. It really works.
Every video I so enjoy watching Isabel's very competent hand with food from start (harvesting) to eating. What I find so humorous and addicting is to watch Logan's gyrations while savoring Isabel's dishes. Many times, he is even physical, bending his body, expressing his delight with wide facial movements and if you wait...there's always vocalizations of euphoria!! Hilarious!!!

@@bleuskye8124 I'm glad you said this. I'm 55 years old and the loss of White is heartbreaking. Especially to think he was probably prey to a predator. This is why I never let my cats outdoors. They have an outdoor porch and are both 15 years old and healthy. Lord bless you, sweetie.

Isabel the beets are one of the best healthy vegetables,it’s a best way u can make a juice whit apple carats ginger salary,or cover whit foil and bake inside a wood fire like potato,or cut and broil, I’m Armenian I make a Russian borsh it’s a soup whit cabbage, or shred it and make a salad with cabbage and carrots and cilantro, with a little lemon vinegar, salt and pepper olive oil,Isabel you are amazing and smart ,you know how to enjoy the simple life ,it’s a best and unique

I bet your family are so proud of you. It's great to see that someone is living a healthy lifestyle. I grew up helping my mum and dad in the garden and we ate home grown veggies and like you say, the stuff you buy in the store is tasteless in comparison. I am now 57 year old and live in Scotland with my wife and dog called Chelsea. I hope to grow veggies next year. I have spent the entire summer preparing the garden and building a new fence. It has been hard work but boy was it rewarding. I have followed your channel for years and find the photography is amazing along with a wide range of entertaining content.

I loved when Eva said I dont want to go home. I completely feel the same way. Such a profound way of life. Simple yet magical, fresh, soulful and serene. Strawberries and peaches taste amazing together. In our area (Georgia/SC border) one of our roadside stands has a strawberry/peach ice cream that totally is divine!

Isabel your meals look so refreshing and healthy. Your vegetable garden is amazing. I get a bit envious really as I don’t have much space to garden. But I do manage to grow some tomatoes in pots, and this year planted a bell pepper plant and burpless cucumber too. The cucumber plant has given me one amazing cucumber that was sooo good. And you are correct produce grown at home is so much better than store bought.
You and Logan have beautiful surroundings, so much better than city living. Enjoy each day always as if it were your last… so often we humans take for granted what is right in front of us. Much love from Northern California. ❤❤❤

Awe Black missing white is so heartbreaking…. It is so sad to me when I lose a pet and I never get the closure of knowing what happened to them. Black and white had their own special world together with you and Logan and when that changed for Black…his little heart just didn’t understand. That is when I wish we could talk to them and help them heal from their hurt… you are his world 🫶🏻 Black kitty is precious 🐈⬛
It is so distressing for Black I imagine. It's so sad White was allowed to wander off on his own in mountains filled with predators. I truly don't think I'd ever forgive myself. It's why my cats are indoors with a large screened-in porch--which they love!

I'm half Sicilian/Italian and my grandmother always put veggies in the sauce! Mostly carrots and peppers, but mushrooms and things are also fine IMO lol that said, the tiramisu needs more coffee, but I like mine super strong and drenched in espresso lol.

Watching your videos, hearing about your day and just overall seeing you do all things you love truly just does something to me. It’s like a breathe of fresh air! 😌
You can store beets by layering dirt, then beets, then dirt again on top. Wring the greens off and make sure the beets don't touch each other. You can layer the dirt and beets until the container is full. Store in a cool dark place and keep the dirt slightly moist, beets will store all winter like this.

So I live next to a nature reserve. One morning I was walking down to the river and I did it like 30 times that day. It was the beginning of our spring and I saw like 10 different animals that day. Hogs deer otters turtles a common pheasant that I’ve never seen down there. I’ve seen rabbits alligators and snakes. A bob cat!!and so many owls and hawks and other birds. And all that was just 650 ft from my home❤. Now I’m not asking you to collaborate with me but I think you’d enjoy a hike back there. There are so many clearings and the river comes from a spring a few miles down from my house. It’s why I made my forever home here. ❤❤❤
I failed to mention the endangered animals that also live here ❤️❤️❤️

I worked my way through college and paid for my own education. Then, many, many years later I worked my way up the corporate ladder as they say, but none of that compares to the fulfillment I get when I bake for my grown kids and they tell me my chocolate chip cookies are their favorite. 💗

Oh lordy, i need to do pauses myself in the video since its too much hearing someone speak constantly. It didnt used to be like this, you used take small pauses so one also could reflect and land in what you said. Now its a non stop narrative. Sorry for the moan but its just really not my cup up tea. Hoping you'll change back at one point.
I haven't noticed a change. I found the entire video soothing with Isabel's calming voice. Could have gone on and on...we are fortunate to have a glimpse of her life.

She knows what she's talking about. There are waffle makers made with toxic chemicals (such as Teflon) and it’s worth investing in a good quality non-toxic waffle maker so you have peace of mind that you’re not intaking any chemicals.

The joy and surprise on Logan's face was endearing. That looked delish, as all of your dishes do. Here in Lancaster, PA, (Amish Country) we eat cooked red beets pickled in vinegar w/ a little sugar and pickling spices; we also put peeled hard boiled eggs in there w the beets. I know that you don't eat eggs, but the beets are really good like this.
