Thanks for posting this video. I am looking at getting a Royal Enfield Classic. I've changed plenty of oil in my day, but I could never see where the spin on oil filter was in any pictures. This set up is quite brilliant. I would have never guessed.
hello mr. kezman please make sure which ever oil u put it must be an 4t oil these oil are best suited for wet clutch plate in these bikes as in royal enfield shares the same oil in engine as in clutch and gear so do ur study before u buy oil have a nice day and happy oil changing .
Sir I'm using PETRONAS 2.5 litre engine oil for my Thunderbird 500X, I feel like it's better than motul mineral oil, everytime I use mineral oil on my bike there's a gear jam and shifting in neutral is very hard, seems switching to semi synthetic fixes the problem, also my 500 has ran 6800 KMs what major job do I need to do? Have u changed the master cylinder kit for the brakes? 👍🏿 Please reply goodnight sir. 😁🙏🏿
Sir I'm also a subscriber the only reason I subscribed because we both have an Enfield 500, I have a Thunderbird 500X, I hope u don't sell this 500 of yours otherwise I would have to unsubscribe! 👍🏿🙏🏿
Hey man first no matter what oil you use the gears only get stuck when the oil is low or over filled. So always measure the amount of oil you put in the bike before hand now the other issue can be that you did not drain all the oil from the bike there are 4 drain holes in the bike (EFI 500) u need to open all the drain holes as there are low spots in the engine so make sure its drained properly then add oil and measure before you pour . This will probably fix ur new bike and u can refer to the other video which i made this one is not perfect there were some issues so better check out this video this video link- ruclips.net/video/ixDjXntbVYo/видео.html and do the oil job again i recommend using the motul 7100 4T Fully Synthetic 20W-50 this is the best oil so far for me . And also the bike consumes some oil in the running and the best way to tell is when the bike will struggle to go in the neutral gear or u can check the watch glass on the engine, the bike needs no major work i have rode my bike for 23000 kms and it still needs no major work so no the only thing u need to worry about is the vacuum lines because they tend to dry and crack . Rest is the usual stuff like oil air filter and brake pads . I hope this answers your question. Do let me know if this fixes ur problem
can i know the exhaust you have used , is it royal enfields or aftermarket ? if royal enfield what material is used innside it , is it glass wool or baffles >?
sorry i dont remember the name but its has no glass wool in it nor the baffles but the one i am using currently has glass wool and steel mesh and the name is dolphin
THANK YOU, that was GREAT.

Does the oil filter end caps have the same form?
Hi karno can you please elaborate your question
If u mean that the oil filter has same size on both sides then yes both sides are same diameter

the name is angular or up swept and did you bought it from royal enfield ??/ and ity was comlpetly freeflownothing inside ?
completely free flowing and was aftermarket part not form royal enfield
Where did you get these panniers from??
hey vivek i build those panniers by myself at home for my bike
Why bro u could have shooted this video using a small matchstick fire
Jus kidding awesome makes sure u use enough light next time
sure will
you open only 1 drain plug, it be should be 3 drain plugs under the engine.
i know there will be another video with more details
Correct
2.75 ltrs of oil should be poured for classic 500 or any other 500.
sorry for late reply. from my point any royal enfield 500 will take 2.75 , as the engine is same in all variants .
Karan's DIY that's what I said brother
oh yes sorry i took ur reply as a question yes you are right
Wrong
?
