he didnt kept training. When he said that he mean from the last time they fought him and gohan whas using the ssj2 in the movie you can notice on the hair even though he didnt have the lightning around him but that also happens in the buu saga when vegeta fought kid buu compared to the manga.

It was stated that Broly received a zenkai boost from his battle in the 8th movie, which is why he was stronger in the 10th movie. Also, Broly didn't likely do mental training training due to his mind deteriorating between movies. Broly not only confused both Goten and later Gohan for their father Goku, but Broly could barely form a sentence, with most of his dialogue in movie 10 being Kakarot.
Also, Annie in attack on titan wasn't frozen, she was encased in titan Crystal. I also agree that Broly wasn't the strongest in dragonball Z. Super Saiyan 3 could have handled Z Broly.

It's not hard to understand, Broly can form a sentence, he was saying kakarot the whole time because he was looking for him, he wanted his Revenge, Broly didn't know Goku was dead
He wasn't that much Stronger. This point in time zenkis aren't to matter. Broly is just so strong normally Ssj 2 stands no chance regardless. He took on 4 ascended Super Saiyans and a Super Namik all at once with not a single injury or effort involved. Goku's point blank Kameha wave did nothing to Broly. He didn't even block it or feel it. That same attack blew the top half of Cell away. Broly could of beaten down both Ssj 2 Goku and Vegeta during Buu arc at once...

Hey if the creator says he's the strongest character in the series, then he is, and let's be honest folks, THE REAL REASON why Broly lost is simply because of PLOT HOLE ARMOUR, meaning that how they "beat" Broly by borrowing everyone's power and beat him in one punch which is freaking stupid plus Broly did warn Goku that "No matter how much power you absorbed from those idiots, it won't be enough to kill me!" and boy Broly was right, he survived and return for the second coming movie, and since he was frozen for 7 years so I'm assuming he landed on Earth while Goku, Gohan, and the others were fighting Cell a while ago while frozen for 7 years.
Anyways, once again, even in his return, he got beaten by PLOT HOLE ARMOR, they somehow bring Goku back to life because Goten wish him only in his mind like come on what pure bullshit since you don't make a wish by saying on your head, you supposed to summon Shenron in order to gain you a wish! it's even more, stupider that they made Kid Trunks ki blast in his regular form and somehow destroyed Broly's Omega Blaster, this proves that have no idea how to beat Broly so they need to find some bullshit way to kill Broly
And as for power scaling, eh what' difference does that make, Broly is the strongest regardless of whether it's canon or not, and Gogeta was struggling to beat Broly in the Budokai 3 opening, the point is if the creator says he's the strongest character in the series, then he is, and it makes sense because he is The Legendary Super Saiyan, not only he's the strongest character in DB but the strongest Saiyan in history! Nuff said.

@goatbrandon Nope, because he's The Legendary Super Saiyan, he is supposed to be the strongest Saiyan in history thus making him the strongest character in the series, As I already explained, he got defeated by Plot Armor, the way he got defeated was pure bullshit, this have many people believe that Broly is the weakest character because he got beaten by a regular Super Saiyan which it clearly wasn't the case since his defeat in the 8 and 10 didn't make any sense,
Remember, Broly's power is completely different from anyone else so it's no surprising he's naturally strong since birth

It's normal for Z Broly to be stronger than Goku and the rest. While our guys were fighting on Earth he was destroying galaxies. He gets Zenkai boosts just from the fight itself, who knows what he gets after a near death expirience - Zenkai boost x10? He is the Legendary Super Sayan, he will always be the strongest and most savage sayan out there. To hell with canon/noncanon. There is only one Broly and that's this guy!
Gohan is stronger than his younger self in the 2nd movie (he trained in the 7 years timeskip). He states it right before starting the fight against broly.

Gohan didn’t even turn into SSJ2 in Second Coming, he was a SSJ even tho he continued training after he defeated Cell as a SSJ2

Can't compare the movie and canon continuity since movies are alternative timelines and they scale way higher than the canon. Example to this is SSJ3 Movie 12 Goku would clap Super Buy but in canon Super Buu would clap. Gohan in Movie 10 never stopped training and it was confirmed too. Goku and Gohan were at SS2 during the beam struggle but the animators forgot to add the lightning. Broly in M8 destroyed 1/4 of the universe (south Galaxy) in his restrained ssj. LSSJ Broly would had stomp SSJ3 Goku. It was even said that they defeated Broly with plot armor cause without it they would die

You are wrong the write of all 13 dbz movies already say that broly is the strongest Z villain but he isn't sure if he will stack up to GT villains, so I think if this broly was mentally estable and at full health he would beat ssj3 goku, buuhan and kid buu
Besides a Zenki boost, Broly was normally that strong. He literally fought Vegeta and Trunks who where Grade 2 Super Saiyans and Goku and Gohan who mastered Super Saiyan and Piccolo who was stronger than a base Super Saiyan. All at once with no damage at all. Even if Gohan went Ssj 2 as a teen like he did with Cell it wouldn't be enough by a long shot. This adult Gohan even as a Super Saiyan 2 was way weaker then his fight with Cell so Broly wasn't necessarily stronger. Zenki boost are basically useless during this saga because it's not enough of a boost to really matter so Broly getting one is meaningless. It's just his raw natural power more than anything....

Legendary Sayians have a Limitless supply of ki, Meaning given time they can become stronger than someone they are weak against. Its the same as a zenkai boost, But on steroids.

You do know that in order to attain a Zenkai Boost, all a Saiyan need do, is have a near death experience and survive the encounter. A Zenkai Boost is not the only way for a Saiyan to get stronger. They can train & fight to get stronger. I can also achieve a temporary who’s in their power level from a rage boost. The mental training you’re talking about, falls under training. Raleigh was unconscious for seven years straight. He was not doing any mental training or image training or internal training. He was unconscious identical to Steve Rogers a.k.a. captain America.
The movies scale differently, the gohan who fought Broly by himself spent the entire 7 year time skip training, which seeing how he single handedly held off an even stronger Broly makes sense. Makes you wonder how much stronger Goku got if him showing up in just super saiyan and as enough to push goten and gohan to victory.
Gohan didn't train during the 7 year timeskip in the movie continuity. The Japanese version pretty much confirmed that.
