The weirdest part about playing this game for me was hearing Vaniville for the first time in game and being like, "WELP, looks like I'm covering this shit." Going through the game I knew it was going to be impossible to choose enough songs to adequately convey the shear brilliance of the soundtrack in just 7 minutes but I did my absolutely best to get some of the good ones and leave a few to give their own cover in the future. I actually still haven't even finished the game since I just made it to Victory Road when I begun work on this medley. Now that this beast is up on RUclips, I can get back and finish it off.
And beast it is. Going through the possible candidates to be included, I noticed almost nothing was remotely similar in tempo or key. The arrangement process ended up being a huge challenge as I wanted to use smooth transitions without changing and keys. Lysandre's theme ended up way easier to play than I was expecting while Geosenge ended up deceivingly difficult. I SO wanted to get Cyllage in there but it was like it stood out like the sore thumb I was getting from learning the bassline. Guess I'll have to hit that one later. So many great songs! Not enough time to cram them all in!
I don't know if you guys realize but there's ONLY 4 VIDEOS LEFT in Year 3! After the contest and EP it really flew by! This next month is dedicated to the absolute most requested from you guys. Many will be disappointed, but these four have to happen!

crockstage12 Yep, Pokemon music started becoming great again when Gen 5 came around. Gen 4 didn't have a lot of great pieces save for Cynthia's theme.
SingtingzIsReady Dialga/Palkia and Giratina's theme were pretty awesome, but besides that...Yeah, nothing.

So... For you Groudon/Kyogre/Rayquaza, Deoxys, Steven/Wallace, Registeel/Regirock/Regice and Ending aren't good themes... Gen 3 has the best soundtrack dude.

Beautiful work as always, I know you're primarily a metal player but when you branch out to the softer acoustic and melodic tangents you really have a great ear for them and always do them justice.

Awesome work as always! Though I do not have the X/Y generation of games, I found it interesting how they still kept the spirit of the previous games' music alive (in quotes/motives/etc) while making each theme unique. I believe this is true throughout the series. And because you do so many covers so well, I think an awesome idea would be to take songs from throughout the history of a franchise (here Pokémon, but also with Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, etc) and make a medley or mash-up of them. Again, thanks for what you do and keep rocking!
