Woman Facing Death Penalty Interrogated Over Gruesome Double Murder

- A transient woman found herself at the center of an interrogation after she was caught sleeping in a stolen vehicle in January. Officers with the Mount Dora Police Department responded to two separate 911 calls reporting that two people had been killed at their home in a Florida retirement community. After investigators realized Darryl and Shanon Getman’s car was stolen, they deployed an all-out search effort to locate the missing vehicle. I live in Mount Dora and was super surprised to see this. It’s such beautiful area and because it’s so small, the whole community is pretty tight knit. This really rocked the community for a while afterwards.
It is a lovely area! I lived in Winter Springs for 10 years and my family and I would take day trips to Mt. Dora.
So very sad.

Real question: do y'all just let anyone borrow your car? I do not do this. Only close family member or a good friend might borrow it. I know what it costs me if my car is damaged. I don't want just anyone driving my car. Cars are money....go get your own car.

It's part of the tactics to elicit a confession, if you go in with a judgemental attitude the suspect will clam up.

She even came back when the police car was still there. She planned and thought out all the break-ins, and surveillancing, of all the properties, so she knew the occupants were in their home, she entered their home, and she planned to murder them when she made contact with them.
But the Police and the Security Company failed that community, and that poor couple, who had their lives ended in such a torturous manner.
