Thank you for the update. Been watching the rebuilding for the last 5 yrs. Thank God for the fire fighters who save the Cathedral and all those who have labored in restoring her.
Thank you for your update. Been following the course of events and restoration from Oregon, USA and this really captures the immense size of the building! What an accomplishment for the original medieval builders and those of our time.
Good morning from Australia everybody, thank you for the update, these are fantastic Sunday breakfast video's. If you want to get into the site just wear a hi viz vest, an official looking lanyard and a beat up old hard hat and carry a clipboard. Then wait near that workers entrance as someone approaches enter with them , thanking them in your best accented French. I would bet once your in no one will question you.
I'm looking forward to visiting Paris next year when Notre-Dame is open. I've not had a chance to visit it in the past. Thankfully it survived and is nearly restored. I'm hoping to hear (and possibly play) the great organ when I visit. I appreciate your coverage of the restoration!
It is unbelievable to me that they have done all of this in five short years!! I do hope the first mass is dedicated to the Fire Departments, First Responders and the Very Talented Tradespeople who are doing the rebuilding!! God Bless to all! And Thank You for the update!!! I can’t wait for December 8th reopen!!!! ♥️🪬🧿♥️🇫🇷🚒🚨🦺🛠️🏗️♥️⛪️♥️🏗️🛠️🦺🚨🚒🇫🇷♥️🧿🪬♥️
A humane and sensitive report. Thank you very much. I’m sure your photos would make an excellent coffee table book that would retail in the $75 range (although I’m no expert on the topic). Also I suggest you use titles that suggest or recall an air of calamity as the RUclips algorithm seems to favor provocative or salacious titles; “Disaster Recovery at Paris Landmark”.
Thank you so much for your kind comment. Oh my goodness, those titles drive me crazy. I still see ones announcing the fire of 5 years ago, but they posted today to get more clicks.
I wonder if they finally put in a fire protection system. Oddly enough, back in 2002 I made a visit to the Church and it was hard enough to find someone who I could talk. I was told that it would take away from the experience of the Church. I left and flew on to work in Nigeria.
Check out my other videos. I mentioned a few times that they have added a state-of-the-art system to detect even the smallest amount of smoke, a misting system, steel fire stop sections in the roof, and increased the water supply to the church and the island itself.
Nice video i was their last feb and will also be visiting in feb 2025 after the opening. Any info on tickets, times, tours etc..., would be greatly appreciated. Also could you reccomend a good boulangerie near notre dame.
Thanks for the update…one question…sorry I didn’t quite understand what you said about signing up for something and there was a 10 year wait..what was that for?
Hello Claudine, is there any alternative Cathedrals/churches in similar style in Paris to visit? Im about to go to Paris but didnt know Notre Dame wasnt rebuilt yet :s
there are so many great churches in Paris and each one of a kind. Saint Eustache on the right bank is a massive church that gives you an idea of the size of Notre Dame and fantastic inside. Another favorite is Saint Sulpice in the 6th. But still walk by Notre Dame and take in all the details. Still so much to see and you are watching history :)
Sainte-Chapelle, is also on the same island just a few minutes walk from Notre Dame. It may no longer be used for religious purposes, but is absolutely one of the most beautiful churches in Paris. The amazing use of stained glass cannot be described, but must be experienced to be appreciated.

merci
I love how France has really shared the story of the craftsmen and women working on this massive project they will remember for generations.
Thanks for the update. I saw the great lady in 1990 and love her still. Vive la Notre Dame!
Very beautiful restoration, thanks for sharing ❤
It’s wonderful to see the progress, thank you. It’s also so great that you have an historical photographic record of the cathedral!
Merci Judith! :)
I think the first time I see the interior it will bring tears to my eyes. ❤
for me too, I can't wait but I will be filled with tears of joy
Updates like yours have saved me thousands of dollars of travel expenses.
Come to Paris after Notre Dame opens, but happy to share! :)

"I'm not wearing the right shoes .." 😂😂😂😂
Please make your book idea, it can only add to our knowledge and love of this great edifice.

I think she was talking about the houses that run along the river
for the Bouquinistes along the Seine
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you very much for this video. It’s appreciated. By the way, you have a terrific voice. Have you done broadcast work?
thank you so much
Are the 12 small bells back in the spire?
She mentioned all the bells are up. So going to assume yes
Not the ones in the spire, they still need to finish the lead on the lower open work bit of the spire
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👍🙂🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓

@@ClaudineBleuBlondeRouge Will visit them gladly, Notre Dame as well. Merci beaucoup!

@@kennethbuettner9352 Nice, it is beautiful indeed, thanks for an advice!
It looks like the Spire isn’t centered between the front towers? Is that correct or just perspective?
I think it was just the perspective. The bleachers aren't centered to the entrance which might be throwing it off
@ Yeah you’re right! I looked it up after my comment. 😀
