thank you for the casting !. I enjoyed TA as a kid but wasnt much lucky to get any expensions til i found the game on GOG. Showing my buddies your casting videos got them interested in TA again and specially for Escalation mod.
Love to see the Thuds come out, one of my personal favorites. Awesome D-Gun kills. Great team play from EZ1 and FEZ. I think your take on the need for game ending units is well thought out, especially the point you made about infinite economies. I think by factual metrics you're correct that TA ESC is just better game design. But, and this is silly of me, I think part of why I like OTA is because it's kinda broken. I suppose when I was a kid, I did have time to sink those countless hours into it. I think ProTA resonates with me partly because it reminds me of those times; it plays with my familiarity. I often put these casts on in the background while I do other things. These casts are great cause they let me revisit TA without the stress, focus, and commitment of actually playing XD. A cast well done, as usual.
"There is no other RTS ith infinite resources" - Yes there is, and it's called C&C generals zero hour. All 3 factions have the ability to produce a unit or building which makes $ (the resource in the game).
I do mean the entire TA franchise. It's a unique RTS in the sense that you have infinite resources AND your enemy gives you resources by attacking. Because of these mechanics that don't exist in other RTS games, it's crucial that there are stalemate enders.
Regarding finite vs infinite resources, I remember when I thought of having a TA map with no metal patches at all. Instead, have reclaimable structures. The ones near the spam areas are the smallest. But, as you go deeper into the map, the larger and larger they become. I'm wondering how that kind of set up would turned out.

Thanks for another Escalation cast-I enjoy BAR too, but I'm old and like this better.
The king is back with more casting! Thanks for putting up more casts here and there, they provide good entertainment

great cast as usual, thanks!
Damn! I use to love playing this game!
Feel free to fast forward, I'm watching at 1.25 speed anyway.
Also - can someone explain ESC fear of water?
Just keep them coming
Nova are MVP. They cost as much as a Bertha, have only 60% of it's range, but shoot 2 rounds at once and 3x as often.
🎉🎉🎉
Feel free to skip trough the borring parts ^^ 1 hour of stalemate is not fun to watch
A one hour match is ok. You dont have to over extend. Its not practical to cast +2 hs matches

Rise of Nations has infinite resources. Supcom too but I'd imagine by TA you mean TA and TA successors.

@@NactSuht True, I've never seen unit husks and reclaim in anything which wasn't clearly trying to be TA style.
Age of empires 3 has infinite res, even wood
