Awesome episode to show part of our stock cars. Brisca F1s the roaring V8 Chevy engine. Sounds awesome & loud when there's 30 or 40 on the track. I wish the Top Gear would show more of our oval racing. There's loads of formulas. There's another hard hitting stock cars & that is national 2L saloon stock cars. Check them out too.
Don't forget there's Autograss also an awesome oval racing over here too.
Stockcar racing is magic
This car is so goofy looking I love it
I used to watch the Stock Car's at Armadale and Cowdenbeath. We went down to Ipswich Speedway Stadium for a Stock Car Weekend. Then I started going to Powderhall &Armadale to see Edinburgh Monarch's. I'm more into Speedway now.
The best Motorsport in the UK💯🏁
brilliant to watch this, cant wait to see the poms over here in nz for the 2023 palmy teams .
This is one of the most American non-American motorsports I've seen so far. I love this. It looks like the hockey of motorsports.
You couldn't have a much better tutor in the world of BriSCA F1 than the Wainman family.
So what sort of engines are in F1 Stop car racing what size engines are they I'm a big blocked Chevy
Big block small block 😉between the 5 and 800 hp
New Zealand ones are limited to a 4 litre, 10:1 compression carburetted v8. This one's a Nissan VK56 v8 engine. ruclips.net/video/XOt1AgcbC3g/видео.html
Chevy/Ford BigBlock (mostly) for the Shale Cars, and Chevy/Ford SmallBlock (preferably) for Tarmac Cars...
weve got a 502 bigblock chevy in ours, an 8.2L v8
Always wanted to give one of these a go
I think it's supposed to be like a sprint car, but looks nothing like one.
similarities are it's on a dirt oval with a ridiculous top wing (a real sprint car's top wing is designed differently and is functional for downforce)... bumpers around the car? 🤨also all the tyres are the same size - in sprint car racing the rear right is larger. I've seen one of these being built and the more I think of it, the more vast the differences are.
Tyres are NOT the same size.. Especially on these 'Shale-Cars' you see here. They're purpose-built machines raced only at the BRISCA Championship Rounds held at Shale/Dirt-Tracks, like Coventry, Kings Lynn, Bradford (UK🇬🇧), or Emmen, Blauwhuis, and Texel (NL🇱🇺).. The Rims also are very different (much wider on 'Outside' or Righthand-Side Fitment than those on the inside..) Which, combined with the locked Diff ànd set-up correctly, forces the car to 'steer itself' into the (only left..) turns.. This effect is even greater when racing their 'Tar-Cars' during the several Tarmac-Meetings at the short Ovals like Northampton, Ipswich, and Cowdenbeath (UK🇬🇧), or Lelystad, Venray and Posterholt (NL🇱🇺)... And re. 'why those heavy steel bumpers and nerf-bars all-round': you'll find out in turn 1, turn 2, turn 3 and turn 4.... 😆😉👌🏻✊🏻✊🏻✊🏻
The idea that these are "supposed to be" like sprint cars is complete wrong. Sure, there could've been some inspiration taken, but they're actually completely different cars. The wing is functional for downforce (proved by how even a top driver can struggle without it being there) but I'm not sure why they're made in a different. Could even just be for something as simple as being different while still keeping the advantages. The wheels aren't different on all 4 corners, but the left side is definitely a lot smaller than the right. The bumpers are there for, well... we'll call it "involuntary removing of a slower driver" :D
100/100% good!
WOOOOOOOOOOW AWESOME AMAZING FANTASTIC SUPERB

Hallo

TOP GEAR DEAD WHEN TRIO GO LOOK AT VIEWS
How the hell is THAT a stock car? That looks like a piss poor excuse for a winged sprint car
It's called a stock car, simple.
Why would you call it an excuse for a winged sprit car.
If you don't know what you are looking at, or talking about, don't bother typing anything!!
Weird commdnt
@@davetrcracing should be called Britain's poor excuse for dirt oval racing.
@@notthatfriendly596 why would it when it's our premier oval category???
@@davetrcracing because it's in the name STOCK. CAR. it's not stock, doesn't even resemble a car, has metal bumpers that resemble bumper cars from a carnival more than it does racing, and it can't compete with winged sprints.
So it's basically a sport for dirty drivers.. literally and metaphorically..
Haaaamooond!! Oh no
Top gear ain't good any more .
RIP
