Learning to laugh with Kiri Te Kanawa and Regula Mühlemann is quite instructive. Is next a tennis match with this tennis ball on the table?
She has the same gleaming, creamy quality to her voice that the young Dame Kiri did.
A little over a year later, Dame Kiri would retire from performing. Muhlemann's voice reminds me of the great Viennese Soprano Wilma Lipp.

Wie so viele erstklassige Opernsänger kann auch Kenawa nicht viele brauchbare technische Hinweise geben. Ein großer Name heißt nicht didaktische Fähigkeiten. Der Rat anders zu lachen....peinlich.

The singer has no chest voice. The low notes are non-existent.
Laughing changes the shape of the pharynx. Thats why it's hard for her to be on pitch when doing it. And that's also why singers of the old school would never even smile when singing - it goes against the anatomy and acoustics of the vocal organs.

It would sound pretty strange if a voice like that had the low register of a contralto.
@@Feisenbach not only centraltos have a chest register, in fact all humans on earth with healthy voice organs have a chest voice. And everyone can have a strong chest voice, if trained properly - even the lightest coloratura soprano.
@@celibidache1000 Still it would sound weird for a light voice like this. I for sure don't miss it.
@@Feisenbach Since a strong chest voice is the base of a healthy voice, I guess you just like underdeveloped, small voices. 🤷🏼♂️
