I can see now. Every one mysteriously disappears for a year. When they all come back Skizz is running through a mall with his dogs, naked, throwing grenades.
This was so fun to listen to, an excellent group of people! My takeaway from this podcast is that Skizz hates clothes, Imp loves amusement parts, Kris has a vendetta against glass and Jack is worryingly antisocial
One very sad result of this world: Anniversaries become a lot more lonely, you'd wake up and sink back into bed. Knowing that there's no one to wish you Happy Birthday, or give you a present, or even just to talk and play games with. Although an alternative I came up with is you just reverse the Birthday dynamic and for every holiday you just give your pets presents (they do say it's better to give than receive).
I do recommend the NZ film *The Quiet Earth* where an engineer wakes up in a world where everyone else has disappeared. Well worth watching. Bruno Lawrence does an excellent job ETA: It includes a model railway scene that Kris will probably appreciate.
I actually think the first few days would be pretty devastating considering how many animals are now trapped in houses with no owners to free them. You might be able to save a hundred or so but there are going to be billions that will perish in the span of a week. But then you've got a new problem because all the dogs that you freed or managed to escape by themselves are still going to be hungry so your probably going to have to throw away a lot of food to keep the dogs at bay. On the topic of food, one thing you didn't mention was your supply of water. You may have to move to a mountain and set up a collection system on a natural spring.
Alternative for the roller coaster idea: Make sure the wires connecting the ride to the electricity station are right next to a part of the track and take a big knife (or better, a sword) and when you get tired or the ride, stick the sword out and severe the connection so it just rolls to a stop. PS - Remember if you do this to wear thick gloves when cutting the power.
Oh, i haven't even listened to this yet and i already know it's gonna be awesome!!! This is totally the natural successor to Kris being on the Imp and Skizz podcast lol The two best podcast duos combine, with a perfect topic (fun but also kinda devastating if you think about it-), this is gonna be the best 53 minutes!!!!
If I was the last person on earth, I would raid all the grocery stores and fast food joints so I would have a boatload of food. Then I would find an RV and go on a road trip with my cat. I probably would keep my clothes on though.
Funniest thing ever…. Skiz “what’s the first thing, your like… I’m having this” Que advert: “it’s the raspberry and custard pie or the raspberry and custard McFlurry” 😂
When I started this podcast, I was thinking of The Martian book/movie, where an astronaut is stranded on Mars and has to survive alone. Though it is different because NASA can still kinda communicate. He had to survive on potatoes and by the end he was extremely tired of them. At one point in the book, he said, “I am the best botanist on the planet.”
I'd probably travel to as many Shelters and Zoos and places as I could to try and set free as many Animals as I could but then end up going to a Zoo and getting mauled by a Lion or have my face torn off by a Guerilla, but that'd be my goal because it would be sad to imagine how many Pets would be trapped indoors or worse in their cages with no way out without Humans, so I'd try to save as many as possible of course probably Billions of Animals wouldn't make it because there are billions of houses around the world and a large portion would have Pets but I'd definitely attempt it.
"you could go 100 miles an hour, and there's no one to pull you over" yeah, but no mater where i am, i will be on the look out for woodland creatures trying to cross the road
I would need a geiger counter, a few manual generators with schematics, some bicycles, flint and steel, a source of fresh water not delivered by defunct water treatment plants…😂
We had a book about this topic as required reading back in elementary school. Palle alene i Verden (Palle alone in the world) by danish author Jens Sigsgaard. And the conclusion is the same as the one you've reached a few times throughout this podcast: as fun as it is to do whatever you want it's not worth the loneliness you'll feel and the fun quickly disappears when you have no-one to share it with
This was such a great collaboration and seemed like all 4 of you have been close friends for 50 years. I laughed so much and thoroughly enjoyed the entire episode.
Regarding energy, The Last Man on Earth had a storyline where every nuclear power plant went into meltdown. I don't think I could teach myself to maintain them so I would have to find somewhere to live that's far from any power plants. Apart from that, this would be a dream come true - you didn't even mention the best part: no more work! 😂
Found my new favorite podcast!! I always love hearing about these kind of prompts and other people's opinions on it, so this just makes my little heart happy!
45:00 it depends on what their position is relative to. If the position is relative to the sun for example, then everyone pops back frozen in space cause the earth has spun further round (depending on how long they were gone for). relative to the centre of the earth would probably make the most sense
I'm stuck between living in an RV (moving around) and sticking to one place. I think it would be fun to build my own home or change an existing house to be what I want. Then I'd stockpile clothes, food, and essentials, but I know I'd get bored and want to travel. I know I'd get a few cats, but I don't know what I'd do for the other animals at the humane society. Some don't know how to live loose.
Does no one think of the animals that are dependent on humans? The ones locked in houses or cages? A zoo would become a place you wouldnt want to be near because of the sounds of dying animals coming from it and later the smell of death. Moving from house to house as time went by in order to avoid cleaning anything, what would you do with the skeletons of dogs and cats on the couches and floors? Wild animals would proliferate and move into the towns and cities now devoid of people. You would be sung to sleep at night by the sounds of howling wolves and awaken to bears who are foraging next to your house and cougars on the roofs watching the bears. Skizz, I think some THING went to sleep in your Lamberghini.
Great stuff! This was a very enjoyable podcast & I would absolutely listen to more of all 4 together. Maybe once a month? Once a year? Keep the magic rolling!
First thing i would do, once i realised people were really gone: If electricity is still working, check people's security cameras - i would want to see what had happened to people, and hopefully that would be caught on camera I live in the UK so i guess i would grab as much stuff as possible (food, water, vitamin pills), free any pets and animals i find on the way, and then try to make my way to europe however i could (perhaps walking the trainline) Then i would make my way to a farm or at least a home that has a good garden or something Live there and make do as best i can, use books from the library to learn how to do things And then probably die in a few years at most lol
I’m starting to feel really okay with keeping myself alive if there are no people. I can grow food, I’m able to fish, gut the fish and cook it etc. and I’m crazy enough talk to myself and all my animals. 😊 Health wise, I’m relatively okay with medical. But, I do enjoy people and do hope this never happens…. Okay maybe some people can disappear 😝😂
If you're in England and want to escape you can probably just go through that England to France underwater train tunnel, and if you want to get to America just march through Europe and Asia until you reach that one ice bridge that forms between Russia and Alaska in the winter months. Africa can probably be accessed by the Suez canal and Australia could probably reached by going down to Papua New Guinea, but that's probably water-only access but yknow if you've made it to New Guinea you've probably become skilled enough to go on a long-distance boat ride.
17:01 That’s a 2 part miniseries that aired on tv in the early to mid 90s, one of my favourites from childhood which scared the sh1+ out of me: The Langoliers. It’s a novella by Stephen King in the anthology Four Past Midnight. FYI Scar has seen this movie. I recall him saying “The Langoliers” during a stream in the past couple of months.
Cinemas. If I were alone in the world, I’d learn how to set up the projector and sound system of a cinema screen. I’d be able to watch any film I could find a record of on the big screen, in the best seat, with no popcorn-eating noises, for free.
Lol iamlegend-ing it. May I ask how long is your a world without topics list? Oh conversely would you do A World With… for what the world doesn’t have?
There is one point of interest, so you are alone and you are free, no rule and you are roaming naked and did a lot of destruction and then everyone comes back, do you get convicted for any of the crime you did.
Steve1989MREInfo has done videos where he opens up and eats old MRE's from the second world war where some of the canned goods have stayed preserved. Things like peanut butter commonly can survive if the tin doesn't get damaged.
What about zoo animals? Left to their own devices the predators will breed and become dangerous.....large cities might become dangerous as the lions and tigers eventually escape, breed, and roam the areas. Unless its a northern city like New York or Chicago where maybe winters would push them south or kill them? Otherwise cities could get dangerous with escaped zoo animals
I like the collab but I feel like skizz and imp's mic is a tad bit too close to their mouth. It's like listening to an asmr, which I don't really enjoy
Was awesome to be a guest on the show. Thanks for having us!
It was a great podcast
Seriously fantastic time working with you both!
I can see now. Every one mysteriously disappears for a year. When they all come back Skizz is running through a mall with his dogs, naked, throwing grenades.
Id watch that movie
As a licensed train engineer I can confirm it is that easy. Wouldn't even take a day to figure it out.
😂 Except, it’s a good idea to know what the track switches are set to
Skizz wouldn't survive a week on his own, there's nobody there to "Name It"!
This was so fun to listen to, an excellent group of people! My takeaway from this podcast is that Skizz hates clothes, Imp loves amusement parts, Kris has a vendetta against glass and Jack is worryingly antisocial

the world: casually going into chaos because of the major disappearance
the one person left: W H E R E I S T H E L E T T U C E
Kris was having a great time in this world and then boom, no more horse costumes or human pyramids and he's done with this
Impulse rigs up an Etho clock to make the roller coaster stop

This is exciting. The colab that I didn’t think we needed but definitely did, love both your podcasts
Ok, hear me out… it would be totally crazy if kris and jack uploaded “a world without podcasts” sometime early next April… just sayin’…
I just imagine it being 45 minutes of complete silence...cement the whole "without podcasts" angle...
Where's all the people? WHERE'S THE LETTUCE!?!?!?!
My favorite podcasts rolled into one. What is not to like.😊
Oh, i haven't even listened to this yet and i already know it's gonna be awesome!!! This is totally the natural successor to Kris being on the Imp and Skizz podcast lol

Skizz mention a dog and I realized that I have a cat:
me: Come to me, you ball of furr...
cat: nope, I'm out!

Traffic wouldn’t be gone, as the cars are still there. If it was during rush hour, there would just be a bunch of driverless cars blocking the road.
The most ambitious crossover since Endgame
A world without screws
A world without out birth and death
A world without gravity

@@StarNanny true, but I would still rather that than sitting in an office for 8 hours a day 😂
the only two podcast i watch crossover this just might be my favourite yet
There is an example of a super person in media that has the power you described. Thanks probably could make himself the only person in the universe.
I believe the subjects of these podcasts are limited to whether there is an emoji available for the youtube title
Loved this episode for both the conversation/topic, and of course the amazing imp and skizz crossover!
I love both your podcasts and you four on one podcast is definitely a recipe for success! I laughed out loud so many times!
Found my new favorite podcast!! I always love hearing about these kind of prompts and other people's opinions on it, so this just makes my little heart happy!
That is the most I've laughed in 52 minutes
What a wonderful episode. Just found this from Imp & Skizz and now they are guest stars!
This episode felt very short. I can't believe it's been nearly an hour! ♥
This is such a fun collab, would like to see more of this!
Imp and Skizz 😮

They have already discussed this. They said they don't want to do a world with.
@@Hermes108 ok thx. Pitty. Was it in one of their vids or on stream?
@@sqweloookle I don't remember sorry. Their reasoning was that 'a world with' is already extremely saturated.
