This was a good performance. I know he has more. He just needs to find the right formula. There's brilliance under there.
He has to put his guitar down and start singing on instumentals that way he can open up properly and share the emotions while feeling the beat

I have to agree to Simon on this one he has a great voice but he have to find a great song that suit him and his voice but his voice is really good he have to put more emotions period ❤️ simon

Great voice; no volume, deadpan face. He sounds like he expects to lose because Simon is looking for talent. Kid, you gotta learn to belt them out or stay in the living room with your friends telling you how great you are.
True emotion is dynamic. Youre the same as every other reality TV watching couch vocal couch. To you emotion = high pitched long notes. Like you said, belting them out. You dont know half of what you think you do
john tripp he actually is great though. Look up Lamont Landers. He’s got a lot of soul he just was off in this performance. Steve Harvey hosted his band twice and he killed it on stage for that

I also feel he has a lot more to give, but he held back. When he steps out of that comfort zone? He's sensational! Simon & Julianne were basically, saying the same-thing. He has the voice to rock that auditorium! When your on a platform has big as this? It's important to take the risk & give it your all!
You need to take RISK! You just need to go for it! A Lot of talent scouts watch this show!
Well, I'm pretty sure he found his voice and his genre. Holy cow did he ever.
Man honestly I don’t understand why this guy is getting so much hate. Sure, in his audition he came out with a bit of an attitude, but I mean he’s a young guy and that’s normal and understandable, since they did as the judges kinda make him do a whole new audition within just a few hours and he KILLED IT. I see him as one of the most inspirational contestants on the show this year and he was able to overcome all the criticism thrown at him in his audition and learn a new song in a short period of time and adapt; he is living proof that you do not need to have much sorrow in your life in effort to inspire others. Sure, his performance may have been boring to a lot and might have chosen the wrong song for his dynamics but u still have to respect the great talent he has to improvise and thrive under pressure. I sincerely hope one of the judges considers bringing him back as a wildcard for the live shows cuz he is such a character.

Lamont Landers is like the new younger version of Allen Stone. But Allen Stone sells it better. Don't get me wrong, Lamont Landers is super talented, he just needs to sell it better.
Somehow it didn't feel authentic. His singing was great, but it felt like he was just rehearsing and not performing.

This really pisses me off. Simon knew who Lamont was before he ever walked on stage. He’s being racist. He just doesn’t like the fact that a white guy can have this voice.
He has great vocals, but he’s not there. I guess confident wise OR maybe wrong song choice. His 1st audition was better.

This night was full of disappointments on both parts. Light painter and Robert finley shouldn't have gotten through. Verba shadow, and olivia Calderon should've. Michael, adaline, and gingzilla were disappointing. Lamont landers, and g force werent as good this time either. like holy shit get it together everyone
Robert has a lot more to show. That's why I believe he got through but I kinda agree with you. However, through the mist of all the dissappintments, their were some acts who made up for it.
