As a volunteer I’ve had a lot of those nightmares. We had one Sunday where the power went out near the end of our first service. Luckily a lot of our essential equipment is on battery backups, but our lights and PA are not so we had to finish a cappella. Luckily it came back on fairly quickly but to be safe we turned the PA key off so it didn’t damage the speakers or have a pop when they came back on. Also we got lucky that service didn’t run long so we had enough time to go over everything to make sure there were no issues. Thanks for all the great content and helpful solutions, they are greatly appreciated!!

Worst i had was when i came to church and someone had messed up the stagebox..
one of the nightmares i've had was that someone cut all the sdi cables at the switcher and i didn't notice until service was starting so i'm sitting here with my crimpers at the ready.

DUDE! My most common nightmares are church service related too lol! Usually something going wrong with the tech or the band falling apart in a song.

Our main checklist is that black board. We have a LONG list for if Brett and I are gone.
Ryland, you KILLED Glorious Day yesterday! That grit in your voice got me thinking that songs needs more of it. And you could probably put it in some other songs. It REALLY was the sound I need from you all the time now! No pressure though…

Hey Ryland. You’ve probably been asked this before. Love the way you guys display your lyrics especially the uptempo songs. Do you make those videos or do you buy them somewhere?
If I can find a lyric video I’ll use it if it’s good but it seems like most of the time anymore we are having to make them ourselves with backgrounds from pro content or igniter. I’ve also hired people on fiverr
Also, worth a second comment - when you do baptisms at church, do you try to space them out between services on a Sunday so your service flow is the same for each service? Do you ever have baptisms for one service and not the next?
We let the person being baptized choose. Either service is fine. This sunday we had one in each service. It's a little bit of work to setup the baptistry so we usually try to wait until we have a few to batch together, but not always.
At least it is only a dream? 😂
I had to run up and change Kara's mic batteries at the start of second service and still had no sound.
I am putting that quote in my email signature as I pretent to be a data manager 5 days a week.
I had this Sunday a nightmare moment.
While playing keys (our main instrument) it started to cut the sound (like if I didn’t have a sustain pedal).
While playing I was trying to fix it, looking and Sunday Keys, thinking that MIDI was glitched, but after trying panic mode it didn’t get better.
At the end I noticed that the sustain pedal was working inverted (sustaining the notes when not pressed).
So I maybe switched accidentally the mode switch on the pedal.
Need to tape it, so it doesn’t happen again.
This was really a nightmare.

The music sounded really good, didn't even notice that bass guitar was missing.

I believe I got it at either Walmart or Office Depot. Used a white dry erase marker and some thick magnets.
