Number of players: 2 to 10
Objective: Race to flip all five of your buckets over before the other team.
Components: 11 buckets, slime.
Set up: Line up 5 buckets on each side of the table as shown in the diagram below. Fill one bucket with slime and position it in the center of the table. Divide into two teams of 5 on opposite sides of the table (see the variation for less players). Line players up with each player standing behind a bucket.
How to play:
Have someone shout GOO to start the race.
The first player on each team places their bucket so it is slightly overhanging the edge of the table. They then use their fingers to flip the bucket up and over attempting to land it upside down.
If the bucket does not land upside down they stand the bucket back up on the edge of the table and try again until they succeed.
Once they have successfully landed their bucket upside down player two from their team is able to begin playing.
They grab their bucket, place it on the edge of the table and attempt to complete the same action.
Play continues until all 5 of your team’s buckets have been successfully flipped upside down.
Each player can only start attempting to flip their bucket when the teammate before them has completed their flip.
Winning the game: the first team to successfully flip all 5 buckets is the winner.
Winner’s reward: The winning team gets to slime the losing team with the slime bucket.
Variation: For one on one competitions, each player must successfully flip over all five of their buckets to win. After they successfully land bucket one they move on to bucket two and so forth. If you have teams of less than 5 players, some players may need to flip more than one bucket for their team.
