Hi, my name is Jen I am 44 and live in Connecticut with my husband and 8 year old son. I am a stay-at-home Mom and full-time RUclipsr with a degree in business with a focus in marketing. Before leaving work when my son was born, I was a commercial lender at a bank. I also worked at Sephora and Macy's doing visual merchandising.
I have dry skin with some hyperpigmentation and fine lines. I love natural makeup looks but occasionally go outside my comfort zone a little bit. On my channel you'll find lots of videos about drugstore makeup and drugstore dupes (those are my favorites to film!) but I also review high-end makeup as well. Hi Jen I'm from the UK and I love this brand and have every single one of these pallets in the plastic packaging. I have to say if you ever place another order please please please order the 15 pan palette in Blushing nudes trust me when I say it has the most BEAUTIFUL shimmers of them all especially 'Bubble Bath, and' Wine and Dine' they are so beautiful and I prefer them over every single one of my natasha denona shimmer shades! The foundation is also really lovely and long wearing, not a dupe for the Estee lauder double wear but an alternative to it! The cc concealers are amazing too. So anyone thinking of making a purchase you will not regret it especially the Blushing nudes Palette. Please anyone let me know if you purchase and what you think ❤xx

@@daniellezadora7637 I hope you love it as much as I do!! Most of the shimmers are like a buttery metallic sparkle, on of the shades in that pallete has glitter in it but it's super smooth and not chunky at all just glides on as a shimmer it's stunning ❤️ xx
@@Randilynn66 hope you have an amazing time in London! Mua is exclusively sold in superdrug as far as I'm aware, they have the whole range in my local superdrug too so you shouldn't have a problem finding it 🤞 ❤️
As a Brit, I just wanna say thanks for highlighting MUA, they are such an underrated brand, even here.
I think whoever designs the products has great colour intelligence, they always feel well chosen and a bit off the beaten path.
The lqiuid blush in rouge noir especially.
The shade groupings are what I noticed first. They really do seem to know something about color theory, and how to pair.
MUA is extremely popular in Greece right now, they're all over greek tiktok and for good reason.

Same for when I order from Kiko Milano, they are based in Italy, it normally only takes 5 days, the last ulta order took 2 weeks and was missing a item (and we have a Ulta wear- house 40 mins from me)
And cheaper 😂 Shutterfly wanted $18 to ship some photos three hours away 😅
I discovered MUA about 5 years ago when I moved to the UK from Canada. They are definitely one of the best and most affordable drugstore brands in my opinion! Their lip products are all nice and their blushes are amazing. People also seem to like their foundation and concealers but I haven't tried those yet!
As a UK gal I’m so so excited to watch this! I love MUA so much! Have you ever tried Collection Cosmetics, another UK brand so so affordable and they’ve recently launched a blush and highlight wand that’s BETTER than the ELF one! I tested them comparing them recently and I’m head over heels for them xx

I ordered from Sigma on April 28 and they still haven't shipped it. (today is May 16th). I got the 'sorry for the inconvenience' which irritates me for its insincerity.

As someone from the UK 🇬🇧, I have to admit I did sleep on this brand... until I tried those eyeshadow palettes!! I picked one up on a whim - i couldn't resist an ND mini 'dupe' for less than 4 quid!! But it blew me away with how gorgeous it was and I went back to pick up the others. 😍I can also highly recommend the lip liners. I'm so pleased someone is talking about this brand because I literally rave about these products to anyone who'll listen... including strangers in Superdrug. Thanks Jen. Great video as usual ❤
That turquoise shade in the Wilderness palette is to die for. Stunning! What a beautiful palette for autumn this would be!
The shimmers in those palettes are insane, they feel almost wet to the touch. I don't have anything similar formula wise.

I bought a few things for the first time last week from MUA, first I bought the darker eyeshadow large pallet along with the heroic lip shine that you have. I tried them & thought they were lovely, went back the next day & bought another large eyeshadow pallet & another lip shine. Bonus I got a free waterproof mascara for spending over £7😊 I then went back a couple of days later & bought the matching lip pencil & a micro eyebrow pencil, everything is fantastic. I found the lipliner really helped the lip shine stay on. The shadow also stayed on beautifully. Might have to try the bronzer & liquid blush now 😊😊😊 Thanks for highlighting this brilliant brand!!!!

I ordered the Illusionist palette based on a review by an UK influencer and it is phenomenal. I recommend it to everyone now. Mind you that I have mostly high-end eyeshadow in my collection and this is still great quality in my opinion.

Hey Jen just wanted to say how much I appreciate you being open minded about China as a mfr origin. As a chinese American I am very frustrated by the rampant unsubstantiated, unresearched anti-China and racist language that folks in this community use and it’s so nice to see someone not fall into that.
There are a lot of brands that manufacture in China that are wonderful and I think it unfortunately gets a bad reputation because of certain documentaries that have come out and because of the counterfeit industry, but I hope people realize that that's a small portion of makeup that's made there. :)
Just because someone expresses anti China sentiments doesn't mean they're racist. Perhaps they just don't want to support Communism and would rather strengthen their own country's economy by purchasing domestic products.
I completely agree! It drives me insane when people say something’s bad because it’s made in China. I can’t tell you how many times I’ll see a 1 star review and all it says is “made in China.” I’m like, ummm, okay…that was helpful 🤦♀️ I’d love for them to go through their home and make a “made in China” pile and a “made elsewhere” pile. I guarantee they’d be shocked to see how huge the “made in China” pile is compared to the “made elsewhere” pile. Like get out of here with that crap! Just because it’s made in China does NOT mean it’s bad or dangerous. There’s TONS of brands from drugstore to high end that manufacture in China and they’re amazing. People automatically think being made in China makes it cheap and use dangerous ingredients…like Jen said, because of documentaries (like Netflix Broken) but in those they were talking about counterfeits not real brands selling products. Counterfeits are dangerous no matter where they’re manufactured because they’re claiming to be that brand, like let’s say Huda, they’re claiming it’s a Huda palette so it has the packaging for that Huda’ palette, which means it has the ingredient list for that Huda palette, so there’s no way of knowing what’s actually in it. But real brands use their own packaging with their own ingredient list. Just drives me nuts! Sorry for the rant! 😅

Thats the problem nowadays, the lack of culture and interest to know anything . Watching Netflix to have an opinion is simply pathetic . And as I wrote many times before isnt only the products themselves made in China , where they think the plastic for packaging in any product (high end or low cost) comes from ...or the metal ? I'm so tired of people not having a clue about anything. Well , after covid nothing surprises me . The lack of sense and real pleasure for getting information is simply dead in the majority of the people. Just follow the crowds ........ and believe anything THEY want you to believe. No thanks, for me !
@@onewhisper22005they'd be raging to know how many products are produced in china. Even with the cruelty free concerns, I believe that law has changed so it's no longer mandatory. You just need to do some research before purchasing

Thank you Jen for introducing us to a new brand. These products remind me a lot of the Hard Candy line at Walmart in both price point and style. I’m going to have to try some out.
The turquoise shade in the wilderness palette? HOLY SMOKES that is soooo pretty. That palette is autumn vibes, but the color story is really inspiring. Great mix that I can see being both dramatic or natural depending upon how you use it. Which is amazing for only five shades! They do their colors well!
I am currently in the UK and had just bought the Desert Bloom palette. I love it. At Boots they had one 5 pan that is a dead on dupe for Natasha Denona retro’s mini palette. I love the quality of the shadows. I got zero fall out.

These cooler toned palettes look a LOT like the Huda Beauty Rose Quartz! You should do a comparison and see if they're dupes!

Hey I love Mua too, it's Sue! I recommended mua to Jen, especially their eyeshadow palettes. They've really upped their game & the quality is outstanding imo, as good as palettes 10 times the price ❤❤
I also saw the Makeup by Mario last palette which many thought it wasn’t pigmented enough: they’re selling for 300+ $ 😮. Sheer is where it’s at 🎉

This brand is available in the EU as well! At least here in Finland, they are available in some stores. :) I recently bought the Desert Bloom palette and it's amazing! I kinda want to get other shades now too... Love your videos, Jen!

I know you weren’t thrilled with the skin tint but when you first applied it, your skin looked amazing! It would be worth the touch up to me!
It looked great initially but also looked a little dry. I'll have to see if I can maybe use a hydrating primer to help it a bit. 🥰

jen I personally think a real strong blush looks loverly on the younger women but I'm 55 and feel more comfortable with the colour level you have on xx
The stands for this brand in most Superdrug’s here in the UK are so lacklustre, in smaller stores they have the tiniest of spaces or are on end of asile gondola you just bypass, the other brands get the better spaces and are pushed more.
This is true, you have to order online for the best range. My Superdrug has a really good selection but it is one of those MASSIVE stores

I remember before the brand wasn't really that eye-catching at cvs either. It had that black inglot style packaging so you couldn't even really see what everything was. That could be part of what happened. I'll have to check them out again!

Read your comments about this brand so I looked up their website. CVS carried it quite a while ago. Their prices (USD) are really low. It's nice to have another low-cost alternative.
Yes, back in 2014 they launched in the US but they weren't great back then and it didn't seem to take off.
yes, I remember this brand at my local CVS a while ago. but it only had a small end cap in the beauty section and was picked over.
Got my order finally longer than 3 days but worth it the makeup foundation is touch proof all day & the Shimmers are Mind blowing ... stays on ALL DAY ... Thank you Jen love ❤️ it all xo
If you love this brand then I can also recommend other drugstore brands worth trying. Collection cosmetics, W7 or Technic are UK brands that are famous for duping high end brands.

I used to use MUA palettes and also the Sleek ones years ago when palettes first became a thing. They were pretty good then too. Must go into Superdrug over here in the UK and have a look at these newer ones. Emma x

I still have a super tiny eyeshadow palette by MUA that I got from CVS years ago. And actually the formula is really good, which is why I’ve held on to it so long.
Thanks Jen for going through all of these products! I still have an MUA palette that I picked up a couple years ago on clearance at CVS. I’ll have to unearth it and try it again. Also, they have a pore filler that I like. Only thing is after about 6-8 hrs it can create oil on my combo skin during hotter months.
I didn't like their palettes that were at CVS...the quality was very mediocre but I think they've improved a lot! 🥰

Seriously though- I've always wondered what the fuss about Revolution was when MUA has always been way better.
UK people- remember those old school £1 single eyeshadows? I recently found a few lurking in my old singles palettes. And they STILL work beautifully. MUA always had the best stuff at the best prices (they were kinda our equivalent of the old school ELF, with similar 1-2 dollar/pound price points).
jen I live in the uk and some brands based here can take up to 2wks on times not always but the time limit you received these is brilliant xx
we have this brand in EU in supermarkets and I tried it several times Lots of their products are low quality - eyeshadows and powder products especially. Chalky and drying

Hi 👋 Jen. This brand looks so good and great value too. Your skin looks amazing, like you have just got back from a Vacay in Hawaii. You can notice them but they look like a skin finish. Beautiful. Even the Chanel bronzer is sheer and needs a bit of layering so the Mua one looks very similar to it. The lip balms were so pretty. Thanks for doing a review on these. Ive been hoping you would. Xxxx

Great review of a new product for me. That bronzer looked beautiful on you! The blushes were also pretty. I don’t like very intense blush colors any more… so these would be a good choice for me.

Hi. Im in the UK and I have always bought everything but MUA. I decided to try the butterscotch bronzer. OMG my skin looks amazing! I was disappointed with the light lustre shimmer spray. It squirts rather than mists so it's not good for the face. Thanks for the heads up Jen, im sold! 💗
Well I buy MUA since their stand was jus a little thing with everything for a pound so........ long time ago ! Not new for me at all and for lots of people in the UK either . And I used glitter glue with absolutely everything since I watched months ago an incredible youtuber called Carrie that she did it from ever . Never thought about that until I saw the shimmers in her eyes before and after applying the glitter glue . Was a moment of makeup changing for me . And how makeup lasts just depends of what you do through the day and your life style . For me liquid blushes , expensive, cheap , normal doesnt last ...anyway I apply multiple times my blushes along the day , since ever . And they are in the same price line (more or less) than Relove from Revolution . Infact in my local Superdrug they are side by side .
Yeah that Caliray definitely has some really good looking coverage.....(looks more than light coverage) and those eyeshadows are so gorgeous 🥰🥰

After seeing a few reviews, I want to try this brand so bad, but they won’t ship to me (MD, USA). Fortunately I’ll be over in the UK this spring, and I’ll be tracking them down then!! Love that it’s cruelty free too. I thought it looked familiar… I think I did see it at CVS back when it was being sold in the States, but I wasn’t as into makeup then.
It’s true shipping from UK to US is quicker but omg the shipping from Spain takes 25 days it’s crazy

I was got to be charged $22 for shipping!! No way, I guess it was because I didn’t have $35 worth of makeup. That would be way more than I would need to buy but I really would love to get a few things to try out.

I agree, mua shadows in cardboard packaging are very very poor next to those in plastic.
I usually put on make cream of bronzer from makeup revolution and my liquid flush from rarebeauty those two products are still pigmented you don't need a foundation or anyting underneath to hide any discoloration from dark spots are old acne marks and then I go in with a little bit of concealer under my eyes and maybe a little bit along my jawline and in between my eyes on my forehead because that's where my brown spots from being pregnant decided to land and live forever lol but I don't even wear foundation anymore I just put my makeup straight on my SPF
I've got several palettes, highlighter, cream bronzer, single gold shade, cream blush, lipstick, liner, all kinds of stuff in my cart!!!
