Gordon Ramsay is actually pretty mellow and level headed for the most part. Its the editing of the shows that make him seem bombastic and loud. Watch the British versions of his shows if you don’t believe me. He comes off as a completely different person.
I think its fair to say that many videos compile Hals worst moments and add to an illusion that he is worse than he really is.
But you cant deny there have been several instances of him flying off the handle, insulting his teammates when he himself actually made a bad call or play. Definitely not a good quality in a team based game.
That said, i guess the comparison sort of works on some level, but there are important distinctions to be made.

The similarity is directness with no filter. But they have very different characters. That was my point.
Gordon has integrity and never goes off on someone for something he himself was at fault for.
Also, mellow doesn’t mean you don’t take work serious. You really watch the British shows and really take away that he is some sort of hardass all the time in the kitchen. How about all the jokes cracked, laughs had, moments of genuine empathy he shows….

I was one of those people who thought Hal was toxic, and I'm glad I gave him a second chance. My reasoning was because if he truly was as toxic as people said, no one, not even his TSM teammates would even play with him. Yet people invite him and people accepts his invitation when they ask to play games. And it's true that he doesn't really shout at his teammates in content creator games or Pubs.
Exactly my thought. No team would let a member act like that and represent them if it wasn’t in good spirit. It’s competitive and they want to be consistent, and nobody would join a team or match with someone who pisses em off like that. Those people need to watch a stream. The laughs are way more consistent then anger
True, when he's wanting to play ranked and searching for teammates there are always the other streamers who want to play with him but can't cuz he already join the person who invite him first.
I don't think he's as toxic as people say, it's somewhat common in pro sports, especially among the shot callers/captains, who are very passionate. Having said that though, a TSM contract is a big pay day and exposure for yourself, in a category/sport where money isn't flowing for every player, and easily a big enough of reason to deal with any "toxicity" from a teammate.
same with me. i hated him at first, but that was me judging off of clickbait couple second clips. he's actually super chill in pubs and nice to his fans tho.

If the only thing you know about Hal is his "Toxicity", you don't know him that much. The man's passionate as hell and you'd know that once you watch him more.
Just goes to show those people have never participated in anything competitive; whether it be sports or trying your best to achieve better grades, which often comes with being hard on yourself and others to be better. And when it’s something like competing for 250k in one tournament, who WOULDN’T be as passionate and vocal in trying to win that. End of the day, these guys are paid as pros, they wouldn’t be here playing together if they were sensitive to words like “shut the fuck up and listen” lol

I recall the time Snipe responded to the “why is Hal so toxic to his teammates” comment on stream and he and Hal straight shot down that question with “we’re professionals playing for a million dollars, if we couldn’t handle it, we’d talk it amongst ourselves, you’re just watching” 😬

This is funny because one of my fav things Hal does is be yelling at Evan and Jordan but he’s still hilariously being like “CAN WE TAKE THIS BUILDING PLEASE”
The thing is, even though Hal yells a lot in tournaments, when you watch his streams you realize that he’s also pretty humble, a pretty nice guy and willing to admit when he’s wrong.

So the signing of Velhurst should show you exactly what he's talking about when it comes to being toxic. He doesn't treat everyone the same but now that vels more in tune and he's been through some mud with them he gets the shits. When I played college football we had a "toxic" ass middle linebacker. He's the leader/captain of the defense if you dont know. He would talk similar to Hal but we had the second best defense in our division. When he graduated we dropped to 5th. That may not seem like a drop but it is trust me, especially when it's only a one season difference. The new ML was more like Sweet and it was nice but there wasn't any accountability. Honestly when a game is on the line and if we lose we go home I would rather hear what the fuck are you doing dumbass to kick my ass in gear rather than hey man he went here you should have been there you gottem tiger. When we took those pads off and went about our daily lives he was a different person. I think a lot of people who have never played competitively and don't understand the emotions and expectations you have of others who are in the ship with you. Call me a fucking dumbass all day if it gets the ring on my finger. I didn't play sports to be verbally and emotionally caudled I played to win.

This is exactly the reason I hate post match interviews of losing team in any sport. They are full of COPIUM. "We are just here to enjoy the game and have fun". "At this stage everyone is a winner". "Trophy is not everything".

the reticle question is funny cause I can tell he's talking about using the "exploit/reactive reticle" from Season 11
it's patched out now, but you can still use a Black or Ghost style reticle for the same feel.

The fact that people still ask who’s better between him and aceu baffles me, hal is the best comp player, ace is one of the best pubs players and is the most mechanically talented but he doesn’t have anything on hal when it comes to comp
It just depends from what pov you're focusing. Usually when ppl ask who's better they ask in a mechanical way. Ace was dogging on hal last ranked split whenever they met up

@@Ottoni174 No its not like that. Killing kids in pubs is wayyy to easy that killing pros in Ranked. Aceu can kill anybody in front of him and that's the reason he's one of the GOAT. But when we take a pro team vs aceu team, it all starts to make the difference. I still believe Aceu can dominate ranked but for now, ACEU and HAL are both best in their own ways
Aceu's raw talent is the higest within the apex scene, but hey hal's passion destroyed aceu
The fact that his parents are from the Balkan also shows up in his personality. It's the same as RPR. I don't know when his parents moved but Bosnian have seen some shit that is not fun. As A Dutch it still hurts.
