Just look at the passion and love for the music which he plays. Look at the way he touches those keys. I believe what makes him so special is not only his incredible talent as a composer and pianist, but his glaringly obvious passion for the music. It's as if the music flows out his fingertips and on to keys he touches. His music comes directly from his heart and soul. And we the audience "Feel" his passion. Yeah! He creates masterpieces that bring emotions far more incredible than words can describe. I love how he can tell entire stories with only the notes he plays and the passion he plays them with. Every time I hear 5:10 to about 6:10 in the video I get chills.
Hacker0_o Hi. I don't know to play any instrument. I love modern classical music but not the classical composers ( or their music from 150-200 years ago). In the scale of the notes I know that there are two kinds ( as I have understanding it -sorry for the explanation is like 5 year old - but I don't know the technical terms ) I think ( not sure) are la minore and la majore. One kind are " happy notes" and the other are the "sad" ones. Ludovico have found the perfect balance between those two (for me). That's why he " plays " with the variety of human emotions. You don't want to kill your self (sad scale ) or you don't want to jump like a goat (happy ones ) when you hear his music. The complexity of his compositions IS this balance. When you are down under he knows exactly when he must turn it over and lift you up. ( Like giving you hope ). For me, there, you can understand how genius he is. At my humble opinion this is especially true with ( one of his masterpiece) Una Matina when you see the movie ( some scenes are hand & hand with the music) . I love 9 out of 10 pieces of his.
Microage. Yes but ( for me) that depends from the style of music. For example I like trans ( not always) but I can't stand techno music ( always) . I think especially for music is something very personal.

I'm here listening amidst the coronavirus pandemic and feel much more uplifted by such a magnificent piece. Thoughts and prayers are with those who have lost their lives in Italy, Iran, Spain, China, and elsewhere where the pandemic is most felt.
I'm from Greece and here the things are not as Italy but we have quarantine for many weeks, the streets are empty and there is police check on streets. I'm praying too for all the people! God bless you all guys! 🙏🏻 #nomoredeaths
I realized many years ago, we not only listen to music. We hear and feel it. This man is a perfect example of that. I have also discovered, I have a direct pathway that leads to the deepest part of my soul and this music finds it's way to that place.....effortlessly.
+MissDistarr60 +MissDistarr60 You feel the way you feel because the Frontal Lobe which is the part of the brain that filters everything in order for us to react does not filter music. It is the only thing, music, that the brain does not filter and it affect your nerve system right away. That's why your heart rhythm changes according to what you're watching or listening.
Bemer Ws If that is the case, I am extremely grateful that nothing filters music in my brain. I couldn't imagine listening to something so beautiful and not be emotionally moved by it.
So I'm a typical guy. Love my rock music. Yesterday I took my 3 boys and myself to the local art gallery here in Dunedin New Zealand. We walked in to a beautiful lady playing this piece on the art galleries baby grand piano. Us four boys just stood in silence listening to the most beautiful piece of music we have ever herd. My boys ages 7,9 and 10 were captivated in this piece of music. Thanks to the beautiful lady playing this. You have changed and touched 4 boys forever.

Einaudi has one of the biggest strengths in his playing which is his ability to put emotion in every note he plays, it's not about complexity but about the atmosphere he is creating

i feel the future is gonna remember you as a powerful composer just like the late Beethoven , mozart .... , may people know your value during your time!
It's because he is not traditional and the classical purists reckons his music is all "cheap emotions". My ex wife is a classically trained musician who performs and she has nothing but contempt for him. Myself on the other hand reckons he is brilliant!
Because his music is very simple and effectist, and any trained listener of classical music might get easily bored, but he is building simple nice melodies that connect to mainstream population, and he is approaching classical to them, which is a great achievement in nowadays decline of musicality
For me Ludovicos music is like comming home after a long long trip. I found a deep feeling of freedom and forgiveness while listening to this wonderful sound. It goes deep into my soul and makes me feel free. It gave and gives me hope in my sadest moments.......grazie di cuore Ludovico.

This is not plain music there's so many layers; there's solitude , melancholy, hope and the spirit to fight back all of these in a single piece of music..
This is my first time ever commenting on anything, his way of conveying emotions through music its breathtaking, this is how i would describe this masterpiece through words i wrote: L et me help you see what's unseen-able U p in the glittering golden blue seventh sky D ive with me in the dusted memories you may have forgot O pen up your hands wide and fill the V oid you've been missing so much and than I will let you fly, fly and fly until the C ore of your soul sparks the brightening light O ver the ones you love even flesh-less but so attached to your aching heart E ngage with me and step on each key i press I will guide you to places where there's no space and time N othing less but what shapes, heals and sweetens your burning tear drop A llow me to unlock what has been hidden U nder the wide open eyelids blurred for some time D ream with me, live with me, cry with me and fly with me cause I will be there, i am there, and always will his music give me hope, helps me see when i close my eyes my loved ones ive lost, the ones i miss and more the ones i love You are hope for this mad world, bless you

He produce magic not just music....
Don't you think ?
He gets a lot of shit for composing such simple music. But I don't think his music is about complexity, his music is just an emotional template.
Music is magic. To each his own.
Not every magician is a musician but every musician is a magician. ;)

I'm from Italy, thank you for your words, they are very precious.

I realized many years ago, we not only listen to music. We hear and feel it. This man is a perfect example of that. I have also discovered, I have a direct pathway that leads to the deepest part of my soul and this music finds it's way to that place.....effortlessly.
+Arjun Sanjay (arj2104) Thank you so very much.
+MissDistarr60 So very true music for me affects everything every fiber of my being.
+MissDistarr60 +MissDistarr60 You feel the way you feel because the Frontal Lobe which
is the part of the brain that filters everything in order for us to react does not filter music.

You know....what a feeling of confidence in front of an audience and in the moment having rehearsed immensely certain that the whole piece ahead will come off immaculately in spite of Einaudi tasked with sixteenth note complex phrases. This is life. This is a career actualized.

Vale la pena di continuare a vivere, ascoltando Ludovico Einaudi
assolutamente sì
I just can't figure out how people can dislike such a masterpiece. I personally get goosebumbs every single time.
It's because he is not traditional and the classical purists reckons his music is all "cheap emotions". My ex wife is a classically trained musician who performs and she has nothing but contempt for him. Myself on the other hand reckons he is brilliant!
me too and i am listening this for like a 100th time
Because his music is very simple and effectist, and any trained listener of classical music might get easily bored, but he is building simple nice melodies that connect to mainstream population, and he is approaching classical to them, which is a great achievement in nowadays decline of musicality

there's so many layers; there's solitude , melancholy, hope and the spirit to fight back
all of these in a single piece of music..

This is my first time ever commenting on anything, his way of conveying emotions through music its breathtaking, this is how i would describe this masterpiece through words i wrote:
L et me help you see what's unseen-able
U p in the glittering golden blue seventh sky
D ive with me in the dusted memories you may have forgot
O pen up your hands wide and fill the
V oid you've been missing so much and than
I will let you fly, fly and fly until the
C ore of your soul sparks the brightening light
O ver the ones you love even flesh-less but so attached to your aching heart
E ngage with me and step on each key i press

A llow me to unlock what has been hidden
U nder the wide open eyelids blurred for some time
D ream with me, live with me, cry with me and fly with me cause
I will be there, i am there, and always will

THIS! This masterpiece made me fall in love with classical music... I fell hopelessly for not only this music but also for the master brain behind this... I've the maddest respect for Ludovico Einaudi and all his works. He's inspirational and magnificent at the same time.. May his work get more recognition and love with each day that's passing by
