- The parallel fuel mod is reasonably common in the Subaru scene but there isn’t much aside from the kits you can buy.
This is the cheapest way of doing the mod and I’m doing it to my single turbo Subaru legacy bh5.
The intake manifold got a clean and paint before the fuel mods and I used some U.S spec 550 phase 2 side feed injectors and a roger Clark fuel pressure regulator and gauge.
That should help diagnose any future problems with the car.

Broooo you are a diy specialist I wish I had discovered your vids earlier
Haha cheers man!!! Appreciate that!
loving the build so far mate keep it up
Don't even have a 3rd Gen but loving your videos, very informative mate, loving this series!
Ah cool, glad you enjoyed it man! Hard to know what to talk about and what not to sometimes . But cheers mate!
Good job bro subie have unequal length fuel lines running to the rails so often times one side gets fuel faster than the other leading to a rich and poor side. Guy from my welding class told me he used to work in the factory in Japan
Good break down💯🙏
Cheers man. Hope it’s helpful to some
Fascinating as usual mate. Gotta ask how did you figure out how the fuelling system works and how to adapt the fuel setup for the single turbo conversion?
Cheers man! Well I was surfing the roger Clark website for injector options which led me to asking alyn at AS performance ( where I got the 550s from) about my options and he told me about the parallel fuel mod. And all the kits are expensive and I was pretty certain that it’s dead simple. So thought I’d have a go. I’m sure the stock setup with bigger injectors would be ok but since the manifold is off already I’d give it a go.
Hey i was watching one of your videos and recognised twyford road, are you local?
Hi mate, yeah seen you on insta. Yeah local to south derby!
@@InitialB cool im in shelton
@@trickx5023 then I’ll definitely see you. I drive though Shelton lock and chellaston every day.
i want to convert my twin turbo legacy GT Bh5 2001 model. to parallel is it possible plus parallel turbo instead of sequential.
Yeah that’s possible, there is a guide online that I’ve seen but I don’t recall what to do
With the evap sensor, did you get rid of it? Or what? Do they stay in when you convert them or can you get rid of them or have to leave them plugged in ?
I got rid of everything on the evap side. Left the pipe to vent to atmosphere in the subframe.
@@InitialB soo disconnecting the evap sensor didn’t cause any check any check light ?
@@KashTeRangi nah nothing , but I ran a link ecu not long after
Do the 2 returns have to be equal lengths?
@@tiaelliott6651 I read that they do, but I can’t see why tbh.
@@InitialB haha I’ll just play it safe and keep them equal too, quick reply was much appreciated
Any leaks so far from the cut hardlines instead of using barbed?
No leaks, I did double up the clamps on that bit and have penned a line across the joint to check for movements
Does this system work on the twin turbo ?
Yes mate it does.
