Factor in Losing It, also from the Signals album and they cover everything from adolescence to old age. It's a beautiful album and the lyrics, as always are spectacular. When it's summertime and you see the wind kick up and the leaves on the trees turn over from green to their silver underside, you know. a storm is on the way. "A boy lies in the grass with one blade stuck between his teeth. A vague sensation quickens in his young restless heart. And a bright and nameless vision has him longing to depart. You move me. You move me with your buildings and your eyes. Autumn woods and winter skies. You move me. You move me. Open sea and city lights. Busy streets and dizzy heights. You call me. You call me." This live performance of 'Subdivsions' was awesome! As for 'Analog Kid', it's one of my favorite Rush songs for the music, mainly, and especially this live performance. Everyone is on fire here, but my favorite part is the synth breaks (the sound is so majestic!) and Alex's frantic guitar solo. Was that a smile from Neil at beginning of Analog Kid ? Rare.
@@paulrobinson5833 lol I noticed thst too. I just love it. Their personality is so precious
😊Great show!! Thank you😊
@@jackteppo9633 my pleasure and thank YOU for watching! 🤗🤘
I actually got emotional and texted my friend. We grew up on Rush, Rush Is us we are Rush. 3 friends living life, loving life amazing people
Enjoy young lady
@@dberg666 i hope you and your friend both enjoyed this video. I had a lot of fun. This trio is incredible and made me emotional 🤗🤘
Hi Misty! These guys are the nicest most humble incredible musicians ever. They’re from Canada, eh! Brilliant performances and as for Subdivisions. Besides my lackluster covers. The song speaks to me because I’ve always been a “dreamer and a misfit so alone”
@@chucksmusicaldebris3536 same here. Often my teacher sent notes home saying I'd been daydreaming in class again lol. My mom didn't care. To her, school was just a free babysitter lol
@ that’s too funny! As Willy Wonka put it. “We are the music-makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams"
@@chucksmusicaldebris3536 love that movie! Gene Wilder was the best.

What insights
Exactly! These words spoke such truth to me
@@WhimsyMeadows right??
Very lucky
Watching Rush documentaries without us? How dare you?!
@@mdu2112 no worries my friend, I will be taking you all along with me soon. I am preparing something big 🤗🤘
😉 Remember, the 'Analog Kid' grows up to be a 'Digital Man'! 🤗 That makes him a 'New World Man' in my book! 🥰🐰
@@cityhonors1 i look forward to giving these other songs a listen soon ! 🤗🤘
Please consider Territories, Marathon, Manhattan Project, or Mystic Rhythms...all live of course. Thanks for the Rush!
@@gregorymurray5121 my pleasure! And I've been thinking of doing livestream one day. An hour of Rush!
Too fun
I'd have definitely brought you to a show! You should be front row! Subdivisions brings me back to high school. Yikes!
Lol so glad I was able to bring back fond memories. I had a blast and would have loved to have been there live. I prob would have screamed your ears off though lol 😆

Great reaction❤🇨🇦
@@kimbarry4674 thank you! So glad you enjoyed it. I had fun and was imagining being there live 🤗🤘
WM, bless you for getting emotional during Analog Kid. it's a great song and I recommend you go ahead and check out the original studio version, just for yourself. It is a little bit different from the live version and it really is a wonderful song, as so many of theirs are. Other than that, please check out the By Tor & the Snow Dog medley, from the Exit Stage Left live video/CD! It is a video that starts with By Tor and then adds "In the End", "In the Mood" and "Grand Finale" (from 2112), as the end song from the ESL concert (in Montreal)!! It is very fun and crazy! Enjoy!
@@michaelbriefs9764 i def will be giving these songs a listen again where I can really focus on the sounds. And I will also be adding these songs to my ever growing list lol
Both of these song are from the 'Signals' album (1982)!
@@steveschaff4620 amazing album. They all are
Well resolved, it was the fairest, it could also have been "New World Man" thank you and greetings
@@Andres-mp7jn thats def on my list. I plan on getting to them all lol 😆

Analog Kid should be followed by Digital Man . Kind of a sequel piece.
Did you get the chance to see them live?

Anyone notice geddy playing the choral keyboard part with his foot during and after the solo?
@@kriskollmar9728 yessss he's so anazing!
So... you randomly popped up a few days ago in my feed, and now I've watched several videos. You seem to be a really interesting deep soul, and very grounded, humble, nature loving,
and sweet. I'm intrigued 🌷 Someone has to really impress me for me to wanna start sharing my stuff. I've been a guitarist all my life, and had the chance to meet RUSH many years ago. I now play bass and keyboards also. I learned so much by studying Alex's playing.
I have many Rush songs on my YT page.
This one is from a show in San Jose CA on the last tour and I am playing guitars along with the song.
This is all made from my photos of the show the final R40 tour before Neal passed. La Villa Strangiato.
The only instrumental song on Hemispheres.
Only watch when you're ready to hear that song

You are so lucky to have seen them live. I hope you will continue to learn from them.
New Rush video out this weekend so keep an eye out for it🤘🤘
you should listen to the next two songs on this album, then you will have reacted to all of side one. Killer album side. No problems listening to the whole side when I put a vinyl copy of this album on.
@@RussB-ht3fy what a wonderful idea! Thank you for the suggestion! Do you still have the vinyl?
New subscriber here! When you get a chance, you should react to 2112 Live at the Molson Amphitheater in 1997. They are in their 40s, and performing the song that put them on the map in 1976. You will be thoroughly amazed, as most people are! Off the stage, they are even better people! even with all of their fame and fortune, they have remained humble, and loyal to their fans. They have always been, and always will be best of friends, which is no small achievement, when you consider the career they shared! We were truly blessed to have them as part of the music industry, and you have to keep in mind that this is only 3 guys, with no auto tune, or special effects to enhance their talent...
@@JohnCividino thank you for subscribing, I appreciate it!
I will be getting to 2112 soon as it seems to be a favorite lol. I think my next vid might be showing them a bit off stage, because I can see the love they have for eachother and simply I want to get to know them better.
And yes its hard to find artists these days who don't rely on auto tune.
Keep watching, I make reaction videos weekly 🤗🤘
You should try watching Dinner with Rush! It'll make you laugh when you see how comfortable they are with each other
Rush live was the tightest band in history. The only other live band that came close to their precise intuition was Judas Priest.
Omg...Robs voice...hitting those high notes ...such powerful stuff. Love him too.
Definitely beauty eh? Sorry, going McKenze brothers here… 😉
