Super clean install. I understand mounting a little higher to see the game from the kitchen! The install has to work for the client. I would mount the center channel speaker to the wall half way between tv and the cabinet to help take away the blank space below the tv.
6:30 The racer guy just fired you the most fast possible if that happens in a leMans race🤣🤣🤣 you’re the best bro keep going i learn so mich with ur vids💪🏼🔥🔥🔥
Great Video as always B, but a question when using that particular stud finder doesn't it mark or find the EDGES not the center? Don't recall you marking the center of the studs.
I'd never mount a TV that high, haha. At the end of the day, it's the client's call. Ideally, you want the middle of the TV to be at eye level so 42" from the floor. You also have to take in account your living situation. We mounted our TV a little higher to accommodate a sound bar underneath it, and we have a dog. We didn't want her to run into the TV. You can also use the Sanus TV Mount Height Finder to see exactly how your TV will look before you drill holes etc.
Not trying to get into an argument with you but who says "you want the middle of the TV to be at eye level so 42" from the floor"? Last time I had a tv mounted that low, wide screen tv's had just come out lol.
Hey B, yesterday I hanged a similar one. I don't joke around with heavy TV like that. I used 8 1/4" toggle bolts plus the 4 black bolts that came with the mount on 2 studs.
I just got a Vu 85 inch Qled for $3,250 and I am just soo damn happy with it. I personally have never experienced a Oled except on a phone but, the black on it were amazing. The Tv's produced outside my country are double the price so it's basically not worth it. You could buy 2 Kia cars in the price of a Sony's 80+ inch. Kia Sonet to be exact. I took Stop the FOMO's advice the LGc1 was $600 less and I got the inches instead WORTH IT!!!
Curious with these thinner screens about when you are mounting it, you and the assistant handles the front screen at the sides and bottom....I know a friend did that to one of the new LG thin screens and it cracked the screen. What is your opinion on the best way to carry it to its stand or wall mount?
B I just picked up a qn90a and while setting up said a firmware update was available. I didn't update and wanted to know your thoughts on if I should? I saw the video with you and pass the remote and seemed like you guys said NO ...any more thoughts on that?
Pretty much like my living room install except I used the Sanus Advanced Tilt mount and a full Sonos Arc surround sound system. So where did I learn how to do it...well from watching your chanel of course. Question, Do you have a specific HDMI brand that you prefer and are you using in-wall rated cables???
I'm having trouble figuring out the m8 bolts/spacers with a monoprice 12280 and a 85" qn90a. Any tips on that? If the tv came with any adaptors, I dont know where they are. Thanks
Hi have you tried using the new Apple TV 4K with the samsung Q90A . I have experienced some audio and video buffering issues especially when I try watching Netflix or Amazon prime through my Apple TV. These apps work perfectly fine while I play them from the samsung tv’s internal app. So I wanted to know have you experienced any issues while playing content from Apple TV
Would you recommend the fully articulating Sanus wall mount from Costco for a TV the size? Or is it too risky, just the 85 inch Sony since it weighs 101 lbs
Hey B! Have you ever used the Samsung slim mount on either QN90A or B? It’s compatible according to the website..I’m wondering how they look on a non Frame panel
Great video. I bought qn90a 85" a couple week ago but had a Ethernet issue so returned it and got the qn85B 85" . Try to find a comparison between the two but couldn't. The qn85B is 2022 model so hopefully it is better TV.
love your videos, just a tip, im a bit ocd about some stuff, i initially thought the tv was not installed at level, then saw that its your camera setup that wasnt at around 8:21. i use to do a lot of video editing, and we would just scale up the video by 2%, bring out a ruler in either after effect or premiere, and rotated to be leveled. I think it would better represent the detail you put in your installations. cheers
As stated many times even from professional calibrators. Dolby Vision is not implemented correctly on any image currently and HDR10+ does the same exact thing. Amazon Prime movies especially all new releases support HDR10+ format.
This was a tough decision especially when the C1, A80J and A90J. I basically got the 85 inch QN90A for half the cost. no regrets at all. Like B said...this is as close as it gets to OLED and probably brighter than the A90j. HDR content is the star of the show. sports and movies are excellent.
I have this same tv i beleved im the only have thus tv in Puerto Rico because its a high expensive one i have in 75 in my freaking bedroom yes in my bedroom itd like 11x11
Hello, I've been trying to get ahold of you... Looking to get our new tv wall mounted please. Cannot find your contact anywhere though... I'm in San Diego btw... Thanks!
could be just in the video but in the end the TV looked crooked a bit when you compare his level with the shadow in the bottom and the ceiling. Also is it me or it is high as fuck haha! Regardless I always love watching your video, there is something ASMR about them too lol
No room for more speakers. Open kitchen and soon to be entire wall sliding door. 7 speakers and an 85" tv is more than enough for most people. You guys crazy
I was looking at this TV as my new family room TV...wanted to see if you knew if this mount works for this TV WMN-A50EB/ZA...I saw another video of an Australian guy installing it on QN95A...but wasn't sure if would work on this one...I believe the 95A has the one connect but the 90A does not
@B The Installer Ever considered joining four 50” screens to make one larger 🤔 Much cheaper than a 100” panel and can actually look amazing in such a large space as this. This may be the happy medium to not paying over $10k for a large screen and joint 4 high quality smaller ones to make one large tv that can look amazing
Most people are quite happy with a 75-85" tv. The 4 bezels and then getting a switch of some sort to run all 4 screens is a lot for a regular consumer. This customer got his plan executed and was really happy
@@BTheInstaller Thanks for the clarification and this is not in any way, shape or form a knock on the job performed. As viewers of your content this is something I think could look really cool and who more than you to actually sell it, even if it’s just as a “project”. I imagine 4 high quality QN90A (55”) tvs joined together for a video wall would amass to 100k+ views and create inspiration for others to do this as well (even if with less expensive tvs) We are astonished and large screen tvs, this in my opinion can be an alternative and actually be very cool and continue to open up creativity. Thank you for the reply and at the very least would love to see you install a Video Wall 🙏
@@BTheInstaller Intresting.... Samsung is using HDR10 i think it's called instead of Dolby Vision, and that is activated if you are watching HDR10 content but not Dolby Vision content?
How amazing someone has a different opinion than yours….. When I had mine mounted I actually chose to have it higher as that’s my preference……. This install looks amazing and I wouldn’t change anything
What a beautiful installation job. This is very helpful to see.
Bought a 65” Qn90a for $1799. It’s in a super bright family room. Love it!
Martin Logan ribbon speakers up front…very cool..used to have a pair
They’re electostatics, not ribbon speakers.

What size screws are needed for the mounts on back of tv ? Should it be flush against it once installed ?
Great Video as always B, but a question when using that particular stud finder doesn't it mark or find the EDGES not the center? Don't recall you marking the center of the studs.
@B The Installer - can you please mention the viewing distance in the spaces where you install your TVs? thanks!
What is the mount did used in video? What you can say about Samsung Slim Fit Mount?

Yeah well most don’t have a big house like that so your opinion don’t matter.
Hey B, yesterday I hanged a similar one. I don't joke around with heavy TV like that. I used 8 1/4" toggle bolts plus the 4 black bolts that came with the mount on 2 studs.

I am going for this setup. Which length of the M8 bolt to use for the VESA mount? There are a few options came with the mount.
Thanks for the video! Any info on the media console?
what is the recessed power/cable box used here?
Nice choice of speakers too!

Question, Do you have a specific HDMI brand that you prefer and are you using in-wall rated cables???
I’m wondering if the seating distance is too far for an 83 inch tv
They're not like trying to THX the distance. Just for watching TV or a movie here and there.
It’s a great set up. Also, too much space is a nice “problem” to have.
Hello! What mount did you use?
Quick question i have a 65inch samsung curved and i just bought this tv at best buy QN90A-85 inch will my bracket still work with this tv?
I got the 65" QN85A for $800 3 weeks ago from Samsung directly (in Europe), what a fantastic deal!
I'm having trouble figuring out the m8 bolts/spacers with a monoprice 12280 and a 85" qn90a. Any tips on that? If the tv came with any adaptors, I dont know where they are.
Thanks
Just use more spacers until the bolts are tight without bottoming out..
Is it me or is the TV crooked? Left looks higher? Aside that wow set up!!

I just purchased this same TV. I also ordered a Samsung Slim Fit wall mount. Is the Sanus wall mount you're using a better choice? Thanks.
Did you get it high enough so that all of it could be seen from the kitchen over people sitting on the couch?
Nicely done B
Sweet Install B 👍🏼
How long were the screws you used for this t.v.? The screws that go on the back of the t.v.

Yeah I'll check with editor but of the 1m views, I'm sure 50 people may see that. Good advice thanks.
Just got the same exact set, love it. Was glad to find out most the weight was the packaging material and stand. That box weighed a ton lol.
Yes it did. Wife was not happy lugging into our house. The stand was like 40 lbs
Good job!
How much did you charge?
I almost think the tv is still too small for that room. Maybe a 120” projector would have been a better fit.
I have a 400 x 400 mm VESA wall mount, would it be able to support this 85” model? Specs say it has 400 x 300
The 85" of qn90a is 600x400mm
B the tv looks a touch high ,6 inches lower would've been perfect when sitting down.
Gotta listen to the client. He wanted to be over the heads of the seated tv viewers from the kitchen.
Nobody asked
Okay what is the difference from 60bd & 90a 85”
Great work you did a really good job hanging a TV on the wall and it looks nice but it doesn’t look like the Sony a 90 J come on lol!
Great looking set! I want the 55 of this set but heard it isnt as good asthe larger sizes. If this guys loaded how come he didnt go oled?
look at all the white furniture...
The TV is hung too high .
not really. If that was what the customer wanted that's what he got. at the end of the day he's going to live with it and that's what he wanted.
Nobody asked you
Crazy how 85'' doesn't look that big from where you're standing.
Wouldn’t it be too high?
Super bright that also has some D.S.E and no D.V!
As stated many times even from professional calibrators. Dolby Vision is not implemented correctly on any image currently and HDR10+ does the same exact thing.
Amazon Prime movies especially all new releases support HDR10+ format.
Awww come on B.....I wanted this tv(got my (77" LG GX instead) but you making me wanna drop the $3300 n just hold onto it
I have my Oled which I love for the bedroom, but the Samsung looks really good for HDR which is why I’m considering this 85”.
This was a tough decision especially when the C1, A80J and A90J. I basically got the 85 inch QN90A for half the cost. no regrets at all. Like B said...this is as close as it gets to OLED and probably brighter than the A90j. HDR content is the star of the show. sports and movies are excellent.
I enjoyed my Q90a than my CX in gaming or movies lots of shadow details, the only thing i dint like is tizen a bit slow sometimes it freezes.
That's a big A TV is it heavy b the installer?
the man does have good taste those speakers are very nice. MartinLogan
With the large TVs, you have to plan the position of the TV first and build a new house around it...
NASCAR now has a single center locking lug for those gorgeous BBS forged 18” racing wheels! The days of 15” steel wheels are GONE!

New update i have the qn90a in 85 this same ufff its a game changer from the 75. 75 have to many panel problems.. 85 its the way

Where were the rear and side surround speakers?? A room that big definitely needs a second sub....and a bigger TV of course.
Yes. The TV looks tiny in that big room. It's crying out for a projector.

EZ. Thanks bro

Great room for a projector. That 85" should be about 8" lower. Would look a little more balanced. Hard to do on such a huge wall and tall ceilings.

Its bit on the higher side of the wall
How much of your work do get is from a client seeing your RUclips channel;
This is a friend of friend. Some call me because of YT but I have been doing this for 15 years
Good luck with the uniformity
I can get this exact tv (same size) directly from Samsung, right now, for $2969.99. I'm gonna have to do it.
Samsung make great TV's.
The speakers are more interesting than the TV...
Great job. Tv looks good.
85'' is too small for this living room, he should have went for 98 inch version
I kinda agree here.. I mean money doesn'tt seem to be an issue here 😂
The 98 inch is only 32% bigger than the 85 inch but 4 or 5 times the price. So no....I disagree. He made a good choice.
It's plenty big. Most wealthy people don't buy $20,000 tvs.
@@JJE2709 judging by their beautiful house and excellent speakers.. money doesn't seem to be an issue here.
I'm surprised he didn't just go for a 200 inch screen with a Sony GTZ380
Probably not a good idea to blow all that dust onto those Martin Logan’s speakers.

Having LG C1 83" i don't think 85" is that huge anymore
imagine you had an amiblight tv
👍👍👍👍👍👍
I just bought the 75" QN90A and it gets deliver next Saturday, does anyone have any good picture settings for that TV?
for whatching films put film mode, should be pretty ok.
HDTV test has some decent settings. Pretty universal across most Samsungs
If you connect a APPLE TV with Dolby Vision to Samsung QN90A that does not have Dolby Vision, what is happening then?
You have to disable it... it just makes the screen scramble or say no input.

Play games and show us the quality of these TV's in game's 💙🌹

Agree. TV could have been 6” lower in my opinion. Just my preference.

TV is way too high for couch viewing.
Shoulda went bigger! Lol jk
Seems a little high….but hey what the hell do I know
Should’ve paired those Martin Logan’s with an LG oled! Still a very sweet setup!
