When I hear this track I’m instantly put back in the 90’s when I was little in Queens. It’s the summer at sunset, with a balmy breeze, my pops is hanging out with is boys on the project bench, the NYPD is wailing down the street , buses are passing by , the smell of charcoal and bbq is in the air , and I’m riding my bike around Pomonok Playground… this gives you a hauntingly vivid image of what life was like for a black man and family back in NYC in the 90’s

This Beat makes me feel like I’m in a subway station somewhere in late 80s/early 90s Brooklyn with a shady dude and a cop over there, just waiting until the breeze of the train coming goes through my legs, entering the train it looks like a art gallery but I just stay there, just looking at the dark tunnel, wondering what hides in those tracks, as soon I get out the subway, I go through some familiar streets, until I finally reach home.
Nice. For me it's like chilling on the porch one last time with your homie having a deep convo randomly (unusually suddenly) reminiscing and you got a strange feeling before he leaves. Then you get "that" call later on at 2.am about your friend that was shot and killed that same night .
