- In this episode of 5 Minutes, Dr. Svoboda talks about the goddess Kali, and how her particular fierce devi energy resonates at this time. We can focus our energy and worship Kali with our prana, in order to become in better alignment and not push away our difficulties, like those we are experiencing because of the corona virus pandemic. Kali seeks to make quick changes that will ultimately help us, even if they don't feel good while they are happening.
Dr. Robert Svoboda is the first Westerner ever to graduate from a college of Ayurveda and be licensed to practice Ayurveda in India. During and after his formal Ayurvedic training he was tutored in Ayurveda, Yoga, Jyotish, Tantra and other forms of classical Indian lore by his mentor, the Aghori Vimalananda. He is the author of over a dozen books and has served as Adjunct Faculty at the Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque, NM, and at Bastyr University in Kenmore, WA.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Our perspective of auspicious and inauspicious is very limited. Ma Kali's vision is very vast, and what she does can never be inauspicious. It is a clean up and a new beginning. Jai Ma Kali!
The thing is we are in illusion that since Kali is supreme mother, she will always be benevolent in her act. No!! She is mother nature and not mother as we perceive. She is unbiased in her decision to destroy as well. She is like a tornado when blowing does not care who falls in her whirlwind!! That is how nature works. Her matra says :
Sristi sthiti vinashaya
Shaktivute sanatani...
Namastasyi namastasyi namastasyi
Namo namah...
Means her eternal power manifests in form of creation, nurturing and destruction of this universe..
No Hindu has explained to me the ferocious form of Goddess Durga better than Dr Robert Svoboda to me. Thank you Dr Svoboda for explaining so well in a short video. Gratitude.

Mother Kali is worshipped in many forms. The Satvik form, which is gentle serene form, worshipped by householders and lay worshippers.
Then there is Samshana Kali ( cremation ground kali) who is worshipped by soecial followers, who want to worship her fierce form.
Any of the path you choose, she is a mother. The ever loving one. Approach her like a child going to her loving mother. Her grace has no bounds 🙏
Recently I had a dream with aghora baba , I went in to meditation and saw shamshan kali her fierce form

Dear Robert Sir, I think you are a Divine Birth. An Avadhoota. You have done a great service to humanity by writing those 3 great books, especially The Law of Karma. It is so calming to the mind to understand the truths of the Universe. Though i will never openly brag that I have read it. I censor myself, when passing through some portions, because I myself maynot be so spiritually mature. However, the wisdom is unalloyed and great. Huge respects and Pranaams to You and all Your Gurus and Your Deities.
My great mother KALI is even MORE BEAUTIFUL when she's FIERCE is there any other force in the universe that cares about us this much?

So true. Now I am stuck in Canada which is not doing very well when you consider the COVID situation. I wish I were somewhere else, like Taiwan, where COVID is not so bad.

Kaalee in Sanskrit does not mean either Time or Black! Kaal (Time)+ ee (suffix asserting transcendence or 'kalana' (conjuring) = Kaalee on Who conjures Time (kaalang kayayati Kaalee). She represents Big Crunch or reaching the Cosmos into its intrinsic Nature of Void or Primordial Energy/ Zero Energy. Time being the basic perception of human mind, Kaalee conjuring Time denotes the state of Non-perception. Thus She is also known as Kalashangkarshini or 'One Who sucks up time' (Tantraloka, Avinabagupta).

Much of the wisdom of Kālī as it has been revealed in my life experiences and academic work relates to a cyclical process (krama) of awakening vis-à-vis spiritual death-and-rebirth in a manner fairly similar to what can be found in the teachings of Ramaṇa Maharṣi, though his initial experiences of grace were unusually sudden (akrama). In the process of spiritual death, Her power draws the limited individual awareness so deeply inward that it eventually dissolves into its unlimited essence in kevala nirvikalpa samādhi, beyond body-consciousness. In the process of spiritual rebirth, the awareness of the formless Reality is then unified with embodied existence in sahaja samādhi, and experienced as blissfully penetrating every aspect of created Reality.

Dr Svoboda: Do you recall writing an article for Tantra magazine mentioning a small statue of Kali Ma years and years ago? Well, I can tell you that your ex-wife gave it to "Lama Yeshe" (Dr. Richard Blackwell) who had it in his possession at the time I knew him (briefly) in year 2000.
Its Kaali, not kali.... like kaalabhairava...
