- I’m not gonna lie y’all. I’m so exited to share this video with you! My shock to getting this apartment was next level lol. It wasn’t even the apartment I had been looking to get all day & praying on the last few days.. Those people had actually denied me because they judged the way I looked & came up with a few silly reasons like me being a single Mom, to why they didn’t want to give me the apartment. I wanted to be as close to the beach as possible & that one was a 10-12 minute walk to the beach. I was devastated...
But you know what they say about doors closing & others opening right after. Our home is soo much more than I imagined that day & the exact vibe I envisioned on my list of things I wanted for my kids in Africa. (To live on the Beach)🥺 idk, sounds silly but I honestly just thought we’d get it a little later in life. Especially after every thing! This moment was so real for me that I was literally speechless.

Girl yes! I was in complete shock. I still am in shock at how I made it happen. Under the circumstances I was put under when I came. I’m a true living testimony that when you put your mind to something. Doesn’t matter how crazy it is..& don’t let any one or nothing stop you. You will reap the rewards, eventually.

Just depends, this was in a area called Yoff. Very affordable cos of the active ocean. It ruins your electronics. Of course I didn’t know that until about 6 months in. So yeah you get what you pay for. But it was so worth it. We loved living in Yoff. Now we’re off to other things. But cool area. Safe like most of Senegal & the most affordable get away neighborhood while living in the middle of a busy city.

Sorry I’m just now seeing these comments. They only show up in my YT studio app for some reason. But to answer your question. An estimate would be that you could find a 2-4 bedroom for $400-$600 a month, East here. It just depends on the area you want to be in. Rent is paid 3-4 months in advance here & you continue to pay every month after that. When you are ready to move. They give you one of those months back, minus any damages. & you don’t pay the last month. So it’s a pretty sweet deal.

Honestly, it’s your preference. They speak both here. You’re literally going to get half & half. BUT with that being said.. When it comes to reading things. There’s nothing here in Wolof. Every thing is French so I’d say for that purpose & a lot of business: French.

Hello there!! Thank you for tuning into my channel. I appreciate the Love & support. Unfortunately I know nothing about accountant jobs here. I do know that unless you speak Wolof or French. Most jobs, besides the ones connected to the embassy or a school. Will be really hard to get & maintain. Of course you could come here & be an accountant for those who speak English or whatever languages you speak. The best thing I’d say is to tune into my live show here every Sunday. It starts between 8-9pm Senegal time. We talk about all kinds of opportunities & we answer the audiences questions like this. If I don’t have the answer, my co host does or sometime in the audience who lives here will. 😉

Honestly Senegal chose me... Idk why or how I stumbled upon it one day. I just know when I did it was on RUclips & I instantly knew this is where I needed to move to. Then I found out it was one of the Worlds most peaceful countries & very welcoming. Back then there was barely any videos online about Senegal. So it was a true walking by faith, feeling & knowing kind Of journey for me over here.
