I'm just catching up on the episodes now, so I just wanna say that I also went to see The Longest Johns in Bristol this year (flew in from Germany) and I saw some Yogs standing near me and had a lovely chat with Briony afterwards. TLJ shows are always really amazing and so much fun, can definitely highly recommend.
The punchline of the story was that the emailer put on the Triforce podcast in the cathlab, but I agree, having heard the actual story would have been much better than whatever Lewis did :/

Sips joked about it but "Silicon Valley North" was an actual nickname for Ottawa back in the Nortel days. Especially funny how Pyrion joked about tech industry spying by their two city Beijing when Chinese spying really is what killed Nortel - Huawei got their start out of it.
Lisa Lampanelli and Ron Funches are known names. Ron Funches in particular, but unless you watch a ton of comedy I can see how one might've not come across them.
Not sure if this is worth noting but the Spotify version of this weeks episode has this title but the content of the podcast doesn't seem to be referencing any of the mailbag topics ...
Damn I had noticed on spotify at work that the name was weird because it definitely wasn't a mailbag, but tonight relaxing at home after the week I was going to re-listen to it on my google hub and I discovered that they did indeed upload two different episodes this week. And also they changed the name on Spotify to the proper name, so we do have two distinct episodes this week.

Pyrion is such a crybaby sometimes. I really love this podcast and they are all so deserving of praise for what they uniquely bring to the table but I wish Sips had the ambition or Lewis had the time to run the mailbag because this is the second time Pyrion has really killed the vibe of a mailbag by just being such a raging manchild. I guess two times out of thirty six isn't so bad. I don't know why I've found that so frustrating but I really hope that when this inevitably happens again they just take a break and cut the whole part out to save Pyrion some dignity and us some frustration. I wouldn't want Pyrion to read this and be upset -- I don't know what's going on with him in his professional and private lives and I reiterate that Pyrion's nature is crucial to this podcast being the great thing it is.
Dear god. As an American the US Taskmaster was INSUFFERABLE! Complete garbage of all the contestants being total assholes to Alex Horn in a fashion that was in no way funny, all the while constantly reminding everyone how Lesbian and female they were as if that meant fucking anything. The fans hated it, the US hated it and I would even argue those who typically find that type of humor (people just being rude and nasty) hated it. Cancelled I think after just 1 season, good riddance to bad rubbish.
Taskmaster has loads of "diveerse" and "woke" guests on now. No matter how you feel about this type of modern day politcal crap, it's just not as funny because of the people they're getting on. Watch a few eps from the early seasons and watch a few of the later ones - night and day.
