I agree with the commentary. This video that just concentrates on the sharks doing their thing in their natural habitat without concentrating on the shark/ human proximity makes this one extra special. Highlights for me were the sharks swimming with rays, the dolphins mating and all the whites gathering together after sunset .
Thanks for sharing and caring obviously the wider picture of this marine environment that you are highlighting is very useful to better understand how species get along... fascinating effort well done 🙂
Maybe it’s the name? If he had Great White Shark that would really grab peoples attention. And people need to see this footage and be educated about sharks so much!
No kidding, eh? As unjust as it seems, sometimes it can take a little time to start racking up the sub count for channels that have excellent content such as this......even though he started this channel in 2013 , It looks like the drones catching aerial Great White shark footage is a relatively new brand for his channel , he only started doing it about a year ago. Before that he had a couple of whale footage videos via drone and then about 5 or so unrelated videos spanning back to 2013. I know a year sounds like it should be enough time for a channel like this to blow up, but sometimes it can take a little longer for the subs to start rolling in, it's just the sheer amount of content out there , people can get side tracked with crappy content before finally stumbling on quality channels like this. I bet it will happen pretty quickly here with the sub count starting to exponentially rack up. When it starts happening though , it usually grows extremely fast from what I've observed with a few decent channels that are fairly new, be it a brand new channel or a fairly recent change in the type of content on an existing channel. It's inevitable , this is just too great an idea with awesome content. I know what you mean though , this channel is so much more deserving of a higher sub count than so many of the garbage youtube channels out there. These uploads are bloody amazing. Definitely worth recommending to friends and family........and strangers too, shit! lol ; )
I so love your calm voice. It's full of love for the animals. With the music it touches somethoing deep inside of me. Your videos activate something inside of me, some deep understanding of life. Thank you so much for your work.
@@TheMalibuArtist La Gomera is an island in the Atlantic and belongs to Spain, not to Greece. Probably it is easier to observe sharks there than it is in Greece ;-) (Unfortunately the White Shark population in the Mediterranean Sea is very decimated.) I love your videos, they are so well filmed and the music is well chosen. Thank you very much!
One of the few channels I don’t skip ads. I let them run full hoping it gets Carlos better compensation. I’m not sure whether clicking the ad helps more. I will if it does.
Truly amazing footage that's worthy of an international audience. I've learnt more about the behaviour of White Sharks from The Malibu Artist than I have from pretty much any documentary. Great work, man!
I love watching these videos! Sharks are so misunderstood. I love how you explain what they are doing and why the sharks are doing it. Thanks for the videos!
Wow man, You, your voice, you footage? you’re studies are beyond mind blowing…You’re knowledge has literally changed my thoughts of “Ahh I’m so scared!” I mean I still am, but with your gracious explanations and visuals of thee ”down-under” are absolutely amazing. The way you film from above the sea is beautifully fascinating.Thank you so much for sharing. I’m glad I found you. Your work…is AMAZING!! (plus your background music…) I’m almost speechless..Thank you for all that you do, Our World needs more of you. Cheers!
this video made me tear up a bit. I am constantly curious on how sharks behave when they are not disturbed by human interaction and this video made me realize on how beautiful they are and that they are not just the aggressive creatures that people used to label them. thank you for creating this amazing and genuine vid.
When I was 15 I was snorkeling off the shore of a small cay in the Caribbean over a large school of rays. I love reading about sharks and knew then that there was a chance of a shark being around a school of fish, but didn't know they enjoyed the company of rays. I didn't know how common it was! Wonder if there was one around me then :)
Simply incredible. I've gotten more information about the great white from your videos than I have in shark week or any National Geographic program. Keep up the great work.
I used to be an avid spearfisherman in the waters of San Diego and in my whole time of doing it only saw what may have been a White Shark once...Things have dramatically changed since, there is nearly never a day with good visibility due to algae blooms, 7 gilled sharks are rampant in La Jolla, and White sharks are nearly everywhere. I don't spearfish anymore.
it is my belief that overfishing the large species of fish that are the sharks food out at sea is sending them closer to shore. It is that way in New England since the cod have been depleted. It's possible that stingrays are now a principal food source but it wasn't always that way. But just my theory.
After two hectic and upsetting weeks for me I needed this calming video. Puts things back into perspective. I donated 2 days ago to world ocean day and after watching this im glad I did. Thanks once again for showing sharks in a positive light.
A truly beautiful video. The sharks and rays swim as if they are content, totally at peace in their environment. Your videos are an amazing experience.
It's great to hear how humble you are about your ideas and defer to independent marine biologists for further clarification. As a teacher, I prefer showing my students informational videos such as yours because of the message you deliver while also educating your viewers. It is important our children learn to embrace others in the community while learning so that we can come together to protect species such as sharks. I hope my students and children can make videos with the same key ideas in the future.
Was once bumped while swimming in murky water off LaJolla. I’ve often wondered about that. Loved seeing the molas, wonder why the nearby birds (pelicans?) didn’t gobble them up!
I absolutely love what you do on this Chanel! I could watch it for days on end and I can’t wait for when it finally gets the massive attention it deserves🙌🏽
I absolutely love your channel. Keep the videos coming. Your voice is soothing and the commentary is very informative. As an avid scuba diver, I love sharks and encounters with them have been amazing.
Dude. This is so cool. The narration, the music overlay, the footage - everything combines to really instill that wonderful sense of awe we should all have of the ocean and it's life. So strange and so beautiful. A lovely discovery tonight. Thank you for the work you're doing.
I thank you so much for your channel. My young daughter and I enjoy watching this together, learning and seeing the beauty of these gorgeous creatures.🙏

Love your narration and the way you talk! Love your voice! And love the tranquility in it and in your videos! Of course I love all the aerial footage of the white sharks, the dolphins and rays, etc.! And all the information! Thanks again!
Thank you @TheMalibuArtist, I so enjoy your videos! I have loved the white shark since I was a child... and you are living my dream. My childhood heroes were Rodney Fox and Jacques Cousteau and I lied about my age to get my diving certification at age 9... diving by myself in lakes and rivers (I told the President of my local dive club that my dive buddy was "some guy"). I started college 20 years ago, majoring in Biology to pursue this dream and being close to these great animals, and I was quickly told that "science" is only in service to "mankind" and so, to forget about anything amazing without possibly having to kill it... my childhood in Montana swimming with muskrats, beavers, carp, bass, and trout (and observing their behavior) came crashing down. So...anyway... your channel makes me happy :)
I really love to watch your videos. I had no Idea that there were so many sharks off the southern California coast. I'm 62 yrs old. I grew up swimming in those waters. I have always had a great interest in sharks, especially the Whites.. Thanks 😊
Amazing video as usual. Some of the things you capture are just stunning. Behaviour I have never seen before and GW social gatherings, are you kidding me? Just amazing! My only complaint is it felt like a long wait between video's this time.
Your videos are always things of beauty showing how amazing these animals are. Thanks for this. I look forward to every installment to see what behaviours you've found.

@@TheMalibuArtist Well you are doing more than that... you are contributing to the Biology of Animal Behavior. You often mention in your videos that you are not a biologist but I beg to differ. Much appreciate your comment. My favorite moments are sharks with other species.
Honestly more informative than Shark Week.
And actual science. Real observation, not glibly repeating jargon to sound scientific
Shark weeks just a bunch of fear mongering rubbish.
That's because this person actually appreciates and respects sharks unlike shark week

Shark week has been a joke the last three years at least.
Blows my mind that this channel is still only at 75K, the quality, the story telling and the visuals are sooo good!
