    The 10,000 Buddhas Project, is part of the Avatamsaka Monastery expansion plan. The Avatamsaka Monastery is a branch of the Dharma Realm Buddhist Association located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The Ten Thousand Buddha Project is inspired by the statues in the City of Ten Thousand Buddha, which were made in the 1970s by our founder Venerable Master Hsuan Hua. The founder, the Venerable Master Hsuan Hua worked tirelessly to overcome adversity. He pushed for Sutra translations, built numerous monasteries, founded schools, and developed talented Sangha members. For more information, please visit www.drba.org
