hachi and shoji are very similar ppl. shoji beinng the male version naturally makes him 10x worse. he's used to him being the centre of hachi's world and when he's not for once and has a different friend circle, he stears away. he doesn't even make an effort to befriend nana O who js clearly such a huge person in hachi's life now. and hachi is so consumed by the glamor of nana O's life and figuring out her own independence that shoji's not her priority anymore as he used to be. i think she definitely loves him though it's just a time in her life that brings a lot of change for her that she has to put herself as priority. they went from being completely together 24/7 to long distance to this weird in between and i think given time if his work hours got better it would have actually had a good ending. notice how that sachiko is very clearly a copy of younger college nana...he misses that version of her who has changed who he can't accept and goes for sachiko who provides him qualities that he missed from hachi just ugh

friend i started watching nana at the same time you did and would usually wait for you to upload before i watched an episode but i couldnt wait any longer and watched everything haha. shoji was disappointing yes but i also think it was kind of predictable imo.
@@thjin5714 it was probabaly for the best haha 😅 if I didn’t have to record and edit in between work and life, I would’ve finished the show a long time ago. Hopeful I’ll get to the end of the show before the end of the year 🫣
