It's crazy to think X is not here with us anymore. It's been 6 years since his death and it felt like the world was different before his death. I remember listening to his Soundcloud back in '15/'16, feeling like I hit on a goldmine. His variety in genres, styles, even voices and certain types of pronunciation. Both his playfulness and his ability to express his emotions are what made him so unique. Now, to think that he wasn't even well-known at the time, it felt to me like history was about to be written and I was able to watch it early. I don't know, I feel like I took him for granted despite listening to his music almost daily. His death felt like a suckerpunch to an already-hurt spot in my soul. Honestly, I don't know why I wrote this. I just saw this clip and it made me think about how much I used to listen to him. Once he passed, I slowly stopped listening to his music because I felt like his production company was merely milking him by continuing to post his music depite his passing.
