5 artic wagons stuck this morning when I went out with the dogs on Park Rd going into town. 2 of them had ended up in the other lane facing oncoming traffic. Then because of the wagons cars and buses got stuck. Bout 4in of snow we had around here mate. This was about 6am and a gritter wagon turned up about 8.30. Give the driver of the gritter his due he was bouncin round everywhere clearing the road for the wagons to get out. He got them all rolling again in about half an hr to 40mins. When I saw the title of your video I thought you were being sarcastic cos obviously the joke is the the UK can't handle a tiny bit of snow. I'm very pleased to find I was wrong and you were being genuine in saying the weather was dreadful!

@@g2emedia1977 💯% George. The Tamper, lifts the Track up underneath itself and packs the Ballast ( Stone ) form each side, towards the middle. I Love this weather working on The Railway, I spend most of my time at home 😊😊👍👍
Was at that crossing last year from the Daresbury side. Waited for a train, and my God the impression it made going past, those signposts were shaking, and I reckon every one of my relatives felt it in their DNA as I did as it wizzed by...😳
Great video George. Following watching this i clocked a video from Channel 4 they uploaded 3 days ago about 2024 bad weather and they featured one of your videos. Have tou seen it yet?
Thankfully we took off from Berlin on Sat evening into Man. take-off always being a good sign it's clear 😂. Woke up to snow in Liverpool and most people driving around thinking they are tank commanders with their tiny vision port rather than taking time to clear all the snow from their cars 😡. I think the train that stopped may have been a track layer.
I always walk my dog here,Behing those gates used to stand an old house which they knocked down last year ,Shame as it was a lovely old house with gargoyles all around it.

@@g2emedia1977 I’ve seen way more snow in early 80s and it was dealt with far more quickly so people actually could-have normal daily routine,the UK is an embarrassment 😂

Grew up in British Forces Germany and life just carry’s on as normal there. UK is a laughing stock when we get some snow.
We are a bit pathetic in this country though aren’t we. It’s was at tops 2 inches deep. Laughable compared to a lot of other countries

I can remember back in the 1970s. Ice skating down smithdown road. From the top down to green bank park and skating on the lakes
