@@ericedwards69420 Dashie has been getting good after all these years. These days, he tends to clear the courses he gets sent. But I'd love for Ryu to clear the ones that Dashie couldn't beat!
100 Mario is much more enjoyable than Endless. It has a beginning, middle and end and NO SKIP actually has meaning on this one.
As someone who's been watching Ryu's videos for years, I can confirm that every mm1 video is a treasure, and you should watch all of them. Also we need the 100 Mario challenge in mm2, Nintendo please.
I think that would classify as a "big update" and they said there would be no more big updates for the game. Honestly if MM2 had 100 mario challenge it would be perfect in my eyes but just like with Joycon drift the Nintendo Switch always has to have 1 super annoying thing.

I really wish Nintendo would bring this mode back. Instead of 'endless' you get 100 lives to make it through this gauntlet of levels to a known endpoint. I personally prefer it that way.
shadowtheimpure A brand new mode would be ok too. Endless becomes pointless after you get a good record. But Nintendo already said no more major updates :(

I remember when, about half a year ago, Ryu went back to SMM1 for 1 vid, and I hoped even then that he'd keep going! I definitely dig his SMM2 content, but I'm so down for him to keep SMM1 alive too!
I love how Ryu recommends watching all 70 of his videos knowing DANG WELL that we have already seen all of them already, but...he did recommend them...so...Time to rewatch!

I still play Mario Maker 1. My little girl loves it. She's disabled and can't play her self. But we play together every week. And she just lights up every time the intro is on screen. She doesn't react like that to Fall Guys. 😀 Great that you still go back and play Mario Maker 1. Your videos are so cool. I can only beat expert. Don't have the skills for Super Expert. 😜 But I still try and my daughter loves it when Mario dies. So it works out. 😉

YES! I have been waiting for this day since Mario Maker 2 came out. Mario Maker 2 is fun and all, good levels, lots of creativity, but this.... this is where the best cheese used to be. The best levels. The most awesome clutches in the history of this channel. I've had so much fun watching (and re-watching) original Mario Maker videos and honestly, I felt something sensual hearing you say "Stage one, with one hundred lives" as well!

I'm so used to binging Ryu's old random videos on a daily basis. Whenever he uploads a new video, the happiness on my face is clearly visible.
It's fun to see MM1 once in a while and see how far we've come. It's a shame we lost 100 Mario and that Spike Hitboxes got buffed so much, but...
As a level creator, MM1 just seems horrible by now. MM2 is so much better. Of course most levels are still garbage because random idiots keep thinking it's funny to upload garbage, but MM2 has so much more potential when you actually know what you're doing.
The thing is streamers actually like the odd janky hot garbage levels in 100 man. MM2 has a different type of hot garbage. The way the system works now is kind of a vote system. I still have levels with like 5 plays, no clears and 60 deaths because my levels can be hard at times but because 5 people played the level and nobody hit the like button Nintendo deemed my level not worth playing anymore and threw it into the trash. I usually have to drop my levels on streamers to get them played because Nintendo doesn't put the levels into Endless if someone doesn't give it a like. Honestly MM2 isn't a very good game for getting your levels played or for making youtube content. The most fun i have watching MM2 is seeing people play uncleared levels.
@@OtakuWrath I see your point. I have 4 accounts, 1 main, 2 for Super Worlds, and 1 for hard levels. My account with the easiest levels is at 9156 likes and the one with the harder levels, 261 lives. Both have 32 levels total.
It's a shame that they removed game modes like 100-Mario, for sure. It's not like putting it in MM2 would've been hard. It's a shame that Nintendo often just removes options for no reason.
But unfortunately, you're right, if you upload a level it's up in the air if the random people who'll play it will actually 1. be smart enough not to boo a level if it's good but hard and 2. will actually remember and care to give likes. That doesn't happen often. So... The way the system is setup, Nintendo basically says "delete and reupload the level until the actual people who play it see its merits." Which won't work if you make hot garbage. Lol
Yeah I dont have MM2 yet, but while 3 does a lot better there's a few changes that really make it not a clear cut superior game. Big stuff like the lack of 100 Mario and small stuff like no pipe overlays can be debated on as being better in the original. Also yeah while 1's system of needing a specific number of medals to increase your upload count is pretty bad, 2's like system. Really punishes hard levels unless you have an audience to make them not get buried

I've seen all of your 100 Mario videos, and this is the first time I realized that the super expert path is in the shape of the letter M for Mario. I always thought it was just a zigzag lol.

Nintendo should bring this back, and maybe fix the multiplayer versus situation.
multiplayer is a problem without rollback, but if they add this mode and actual lifes lost in world maker....
I have to say, though Endless has a kind of fun exploration vibe, I do love the "will he make it or not?" aspect of watching 100 Mario.
You know at first I was like: yay yoshi landed on the platform he lived! And now I'm like: yoshi landed on a platform and now has to spend his life in a cave no way out hopeing That you will come back but you dont your already on the next level and now he has to wait to die there alone. But hey at least you made through the level right? And you have the splendor of lives.

As much as SMM2 is a better game than its predecessor, hundred man is by far a better viewing experience than endless. It's also how I fell in love with Maker. Would be great to see more of these vids.

Same here. I have an appreciation for SMM1 levels that no SMM2 level has ever given me, even if the predecessor levels appear more poorly designed.
