I just got mine and love it! I have smaller hands so it's perfect for me!
Excellent! Thanks!
It’s really nice. It’s really dense and heavier than you’d expect. And that 40 f2 is the only lens that really matches its vibe and size
Thanks!
Cosina voigtlander makes native Z lenses that match ZF just fine. Also I love using ZF with old nikon Ai lenses (with matching adapter (made by shoten))
Brilliant little camera.
Thanks!
Hi Ken, thanks for sharing this review of the Nikon ZF, I shoot with a Nikon DSLR and I like this Camera. Like those retro looks. Many thanks Ken 😊
Thanks!
@@KenRockwellTV Your welcome Ken 😊
The issue is simple, either you like the looks, or take photographs.
Or have both
I was very excited for this camera but the reviews brought me back down to earth.
Why? Most are positive reviews. Its a beautiful camera
@@masticman The reviews pointed out things that don't appeal to me. For one thing - why didn't they make the shutter button able to accept a cable release? They threaded it, but only for the silly soft button things that every "influencer" has on their Amazon affiliate links.
@@RoastBeefSandwich im not saying is perfect, wich camera is it? Ok, maybe my beloved nikon d850 hehe. Im just saying that in general is a a beautiful camera that has a nice desing, good materials, good focus and good picture quality. If I have to complaing about something it would be the grip of this camera, or better, no grip at all.. but is how it is
@@masticman I haven’t held one or used one. I think the reviews just told me the camera isn’t for me. I ended up preordering an x100 vi.
@@RoastBeefSandwich diferent league camera. One is compact, other isnt. But great choice, tough
Nice Review Ken Rockwell.🎉
The retro design makes for a unique camera. Those who are waiting for a Z6 III take a much closer look at the Zf and Will find what they are looking for.
What counter? Retail is for people who still use rotary dial phones. Oh hold on - I was ordering from B&H and Adorama from my rotary phone back in the 1970s - even then I wasn't so clueless as to buy at retail. Thanks!
@@KenRockwellTV Nice review and fantastic Retro camera 40mm Lens best match
Cool
Thanks!
Auto ISO = 1 hand use. Not sure how they'd fit the iso dial on the right side without making it bigger.
Agreed. Thanks.
Both of zf & a7iv which best for begginer wildlife photograpfhy?
Wrong cameras. You want APS-C for wildlife because it gets you much closer without needing much heavier $10,000 lenses. I’d go with Canon R10 www.kenrockwell.com/canon/eos-r/r10.htm and RF 100-400 mm and www.kenrockwell.com/canon/eos-r/lenses/100-400mm.htm
'A friend found in the street with no lens' ??? lol
Yes! Just sitting in the gutter with an empty lens mount. Popped in batteries and popped on a lens and works flawlessly.
Plastic bottom plate totally ruins it. They made brass dials and blasting bottom whats up with that
It’s all based on cost, and also unlike 35mm cameras they need to put all the antennas for Bluetooth and everything else someplace. Thanks !
U1, U2, U3 removal is a disaster & a PITA. Same with the Z9. Guaranteed the SONY and CANON user will get the shot while you fiddle with the bank and try to figure out where you are.
Exactly. I was so over Nikon in 2012 when I upgraded to Canon, but the world still wants my reviews of everything Nikon so I share them. Thanks!
@@KenRockwellTV Oh, give it up, it was just amusing to see the link of this (pointless) video. You haven't been relevant for the last 15 years. I bet that you don't even own a camera anymore, just an iPhone.
