Yeah, I don’t get how RB zombie players are crapping on the game? You kill zombies. What isn’t fun about that? And same thing for MWZ players crapping on RB. You kill zombies in that mode too. Fun to be had in both versions. No need to be hatin’.

I have played both, round based more seen as i have completed multiple easter eggs (all bo4 easter eggs/maps thay where f2p) and ill say that both are good mwz is fun as you can upgrade and improve and round based is fun for surviving and what not.
Agree that nobody should be able to steal a riff or a Blood Burner. In fact, a remote detonation capability should exist for the originator of a riff or blood burner to "fix" the situation. ;-)
The last time I went in solo, the rift spawned right next to me. So happy that you don’t have to have three different ammo mods to unlock it. You can do three of the same kind, if you can find the corresponding obelisks.

I can't confirm it but i'm pretty sure Obelisks spawn progressively throughout a game and the cap for how many can be spawned in at one time seems pretty high.
In multiple games i've played i'd come across them very frequently towards the end of the match so imo it's not worth actively looking for them at the beginning.
Another benefit of doing it later is that the chance someone is gonna steal it is very low.
After playing a few more games, this is my experience too!

I came across two close to each other. After seeing the second one, I went back to see if the first one was still there. It was.

I can actually shed light on the spawn for the obelisk. The obelisk do not cap out at 1 at a time. The spawn in as the game goes on the earlier in the game you try to find them the harder they are to find. Based on a bunch of games I’ve played it seems like they spawn in 3 at a time as the game goes. I do not know how much time needs to pass before the second set of 3 spawn it could be every 10 minutes still working that out. But it does seem like you only get 2 chances to make it into the rift. If I figure out the amount of time between the spawns I’ll update this.
Make sure you have tombstone soda equipped before going into the unstable rift. It takes it away but gives you a tombstone with a power up once inside.

I've seen obelisk spawn very close to each other. One at the entrance to the Military Base (Big Rocket Statue) and the other at the Pharmacy just outside of the base next to where you do the T1 Escort/Cargo mission. It's where you'll see the Pack A Punch machine as well. They were both up at the same time in T1.
Me too I’ve seen all three close by on west side of map. Within first 10min of game.
You may have done this, but un-equipping and then re-equipping a weapon after changing any attachments is always a good idea.
You’re spot on saying that if you don’t go with the RGL or crossbow solo then you’re a dead man, I went in with a shotgun solo confident in my ability. I died in about 60 seconds.

Doughtnuts! I do this all the time. When you are upgrading a weapon, you need to unequip the weapon from your Inventory, add the attachments, and then reselect it. Im going to assume you click the weapon to change it, added the attachments to the weapon screen (Where it shows you your three weapons) then selected the same weapon. The game is stupid and thinks you haven't changed your weapon since it is the same one, even though you added the attachments...Just always unequip your weapons after each game when you are upgrading them. Done this plenty of times!
My team found two obelisk at the same time. My teammate was in T1 and I was in T3. However, he had the ammo mod for the obelisk I found and I had the ammo mod he found. So we switched. Didn’t do them at the same time since he had a schorcher and I drove
I've seen more than one obelisk in the same game. Found one, ran a contract found another, next contract took me to the first location and obelisk was still there.
Yesterday I was wondering if obelisks are lucrative, at the time I watched a video with at least 30 pillars/obelisks locations: PAP 3 weapon, Legendary Tool, Packed Scorcher, Solo Run.
How I see it with just one lobby experience: 4 of them required the same ammo mod (napalm at the time of the experience), NO SHATTER BLAST in any of the obelisks/pillars. There are chances to get to the Unstable Rift if you are not able to reach the first activation of the rift so you could activate it more than once if not the maximum amount is 4 Unstable Rifts (?) [depending how many unstable rifts are there in the map]. There is a chance to find at least 3 in the Tier 1 area without having a stronger weapon (based on my experience).
In conclusion, they are lucrative UNLESS you have the ammo mod to activate them, need to activate them for the essences, or need them for easy Special Zombie kills for challenges.
Just did it with a full team of six. I was running the not a Spas 12 and had a great time.
Edit to add, I've seen 2+ obelisks spawn and active while I was leveling the same Spas 12. They were by the farms.

Since you got the map you could plan a route to go to each obelisk, thin as u had Second weapon you could’ve put ammo mod on it save room in your bag, And bought a bunch of self revives before you started looking for obelisk to go into unstable rift
Lol only time I did the last obelisk and then a bunch went before I got there 😂😂😂 at least I got all three crystals and upgrades in T3 since that’s a bit quiet atm 😅
I already completed it as a team, now what I'm going to do is repeat it alone and each time I'm going to set myself more difficult challenges.
At first I'm going to go with everything, RGL, Crossbow, Dead Wire Detonators and Aether Shroud. And every time I am victorious I am going to repeat it removing one of those things until I reach the most difficult point possible, but it is still possible to complete it.
I think this is the best reason to replay this. Test myself...
do all that for almost nothing... i mean i almost fail asleep whatching this and maybe it s not a round base mode but excuse me but it seem to be cause the only thing you can do is turning around like in round base so 😏
From my experience, you’ll find at least one obelisk in T3. For one run all 3 were in T3, another run 2 were in T3 and on one in T2. So I would start in T3 if you’re trying to do the unstable rift.
Ive completed the obiblisks 4x and have yet to do the unstable rift....teams always take it before we can reach it... ive just given up at this point
use the RGL with the AMP and slugs, its bugged at the moment and still shows the old RGL and the grenades explode but it takes out all visual smoke and explosions. i ran it with the detonators and it was the saving grace for our team, not the best at boss kills but the others had those on them.
I love that @Doughnuts doesn't pretend in his videos that things are always rosy. It's your average experience.
With reference to the unstable rift. The game supposedly spawns an open rift when the storm starts. Like a final chance for anyone to go inside without having the time (because the storm is expanding) to go around and look for more obelisks.
You're saying that when the storm starts expanding, a unstable rift portal opens without anyone doing the obelisks?

However I might have experienced a possible example of the scenario.
Playing at the exfull with the storm expanding (the first five minutes of the storm), there was an unstable rift open nearby. It could have been opened be the few remaining people on the map, or it was the given example of an "unsolicited" unstable rift offered by the game.
Hard to tell.

I know 💯 that it doesn’t spawn in only 1 obilisque at a time. I think it’s like regional and once ones done it’ll spawn into a different region.
If you run teir 3 wait till the 28 min mark then start running teir three there's 6 spawn locations as you do missions just check around teir 3 and they'll start popping up pretty quickly I've done it about 10 times now and that's the pattern I use I've never had an issue doing it

You should have used the weapon part with the slug grenades for the RGL…..no smoke/explosion. Also deadwire detonators doesn’t affect the ammo mods/ completing the obelisks. They also definitely don’t spawn one at a time, I’ve had a team complete 3 at once and another flying to find the rift when it opened.
It’s possible to get more than one obelisk at a time I seen day one on Legos live stream. He had two spawn at once in the high thread zone.
Spending 20+ minutes to find the unstable rift is just like trying to join your friend on a team in black ops 2. Ahhh memories
I Go with RGL and second weapon a wsp stinger. Because, i downed by Boss in Round 5 and in my down Position i killed the Boss with the handgun 😏😁 . I was surprised by myself. He was full health after He downed me 😊
Hey doughnuts if you add new attachments to an already selected weapon you have to deselect it then reselect it in the menu then it’ll have the new attachments. Also love the vids
I saw glitching queens video too but 100% the obelisks has multiple concurrent spawns as I have seen two at once (saw one and moved on saw another and went back and it hadn't been destroyed yet).
Dont tell anyone.........but the rewards for doing the obelisk are pretty good. Once you learn where they spawn, you can open the rift two to three time a match!
just to clarify it is not true that Obelisk spawns only one after one. couple of rounds I have done more than one at the same time.

To get your attachments to save you need to unequip it from your loadout then re equip it.

I was doing the 3rd obelisk and it popped up on my screen that the rift had been opened. So I think more than 1 is on the map at a time
omg doughnuts, i did the very same thing with my crossbow by accident and non of my explosives or attachments were equipped lmao but i ended up backing out and fixing it FOR SURE. but if you want to train, try running with a jug suit can in your hand next time

Try the wunderwaffle gun. All the zombies that close together sounds like it would be effective
If your running rgl use it would the conversion kit with slug ammo it still does splash damage and has faster firerate and with detonators it really help with crowd control

Not gonna lie. I’ve really enjoyed this mode of Zombies even though I’ve been done with all missions months ago. I enjoy the replay value with things being RNG based and community works well for the most part.
I’m just disappointed with the lack of content thus far. I hope a follow up of this version comes back in the future.
What replay value? Containment level farming which serves no purpose after lvl 100 or camo grinding which is just filler tasks
@@xvoidxhunter2129 For me I go in the help a lot of new or struggling players. So to me that has replay value.
At least you get an hour to do it. Some players who are worrying about struggling will be more confident if they knew you get 35 minutes to kill the last boss :)

Went in with the old Akimbo Swarms, garbage. Try it yourself and you'll see x.x
First time I did it solo was with only the scorcher. 2nd time solo was with jug killstreaks and airstrikes.

I've seen multiple obelisk on span at once the first one I seen I didn't have the right ammo mod so I went looking for the right ammo mod and came across another obelisk
It’s pretty reasonable cause it gives all your schematic back to 0 to craft again every time ya do it so it shouldn’t be to easy for something like that

One at a time is definitely not true. I found one at D1, not on that new map, but I didn't have right mode, so while I was looking for it, I found another one in Tier 2. So maybe if anything, just one per tier at a time. But definitely more than one at any given time.

I deff dont really like how a team can do all the work to open the rift just to have another team prevent them from getting in, my friend and i have tried to get in a few times but it keeps spawning the portal nearest other teams the first time it was 1200m away....
while yea its nice that there are available missions in zone 3 now, the issue now is if your team goes down in zone 3 theres no one around to hear your plea for help cause regardless of it being zombies, teams need to be so close to be notified of your plea

No 2 obalisks can 100% spawn at the same time my friend and i found 2 yesterday during a acv contract
I used the FJX and wunderwaffe and did just fine.
Incinderary rounds also mess with trying to get the seals done tried one 4 times and failed came back in the next round with out had no problems

Speaking of strategies in round based zombies. Training zombies is meta. Do you think the strategy will change in BO6 with the omni movement?
It's actually really fascinating in round based. Generally speaking, every map has a different "meta", but... Overall, training was the meta until around BO3 and especially BO4.
BO1 and those games really on traps and wonder weapons, which means you need to train in between box trades and trap recharges.
BO4 introduced a health cap, making weapons able to kill infinitely, so camping at fast respawn areas have been "meta" for quite some time.
With super sprinters, high round training is still possible, but probably more tedious and not as safe. However, with Omni movement, I can see that being less of an issue, so I'm really excited for training to make a come back!

I kind of meant it in a different way, though... And I should have explained what I meant.
The omni movement might bring (I expect it will) a new movement from zombies too. Just like super sprinters make you adjust your training. Just like the health cap for zombies allowed for camping and higher levels.
The game design in BO6 might center around the new omni movement and thus they might change how zombies behave, or how the hordes of zombies behave, to allow players to utilize the omni movement.
In most games, movement changes, or equipment changes, led to different strategies, often making the old meta undesirable.
I don't expect the developers to remove training, not in a hyped up round based game that took over 4 years to bring to fruition, but it may not be the meta as we know it.

The slugs in the rgl work well with the boss. Not the best but they work and higher fire rate
There are more than one obelisks at a time. We found 2 and even did them at the sane time. Another teammate found a 3rd while we were working on the first 2. We left it alone while we ran T3 contracts and always keeping an eye out for the rift to open by someone doing the 3rd one. Nobody did so in the last 5 minutes, I crushed T1 zombies with a pap3 legendary rgl with slugs and opened the rift at the location on the west side of the map(T1 exfil just north of the western inlet
