    Beautiful video! I especially loved the 757’s (flying pencils 😂). Lots of variety at your airport, and beautiful weather too by the looks of it.

    outstanding footage. What was the origin of the Delta 757 that landed here? Atlanta or JFK? And where did the American 737-800 come in from? Charlotte, JFK, or Miami?

    • @skbenergy

    +SKBenergy I wouldn't consider that a rejected takeoff seeing as the 757 never began the takeoff roll. A rejected takeoff is usually a bit more dramatic than that.

    Wouldn't it have been easier for American airline to just take off since they were already on the runway?

    • @skbenergy
      @skbenergy  8 лет назад

      +youbrenyou they were not ready at the time that's why and there were lots of incoming traffic so the runway had to be freed up

  • @flygwada971
    @flygwada971 9 лет назад +1

    What I don't get is that to enter the RWY the 757 needed a clearance. How come they lined up 07, and the ATC didn't stop thème before? Lots of misunderstanding, miscommunication. The ATC wanted to show who is the boss down in the Caribbean lol.

    • @skbenergy
      @skbenergy  9 лет назад +1

      flygwada971 lol yep seems there were some miscommunication there

    • @jstuttgart
      @jstuttgart 8 лет назад

      +flygwada971 You have several departure clearances: Start engines, taxi, line up, then finally take off. Sometimes on departure final clearances aren't ready. In the interest of time ATC may allow the aircraft to taxi into position anticipating that the final clearance will come in time. Also the airlines themselves may begin the taxi and may even have take off clearance. The big airlines however need final clearances from their main flight dispatch office or network control center. Stuff like final weight and balance and fuel loads have to be signed off by a flight dispatcher, perhaps in Miami, Atlanta or London.

    • @skbenergy
      @skbenergy  8 лет назад

      jstuttgart we fall under the Eastern Caribbean Civil Aviation Authority where certain stuff are don slightly different to that of the FAA in the United States. They get there read out clearances while departing....in this instance i was told the American was not ready at the time and there were many incoming flights. I think at this time Taxi way Alpha which leads close to the end of the runway was close for repairs at the time...due to the terrain and geography around the airport its difficult to get a taxi way all the way to the end...that's the closest they can get now

    You've captured an entertaining video, but that being stated, I'm not so sure the flight deck crew of the AA 752 at the opening, would be wanting to deal with this particular ATC again anytime soon. There seems to be a lot of miscommunication in the interaction, or might it be, the ATC was attempting to punish those pilots, for some kind of transgression? It's one thing to be very vocal in communication, but the ATC, on the frequency appears to be hollering at everyone he engages. Is someone having a bad day, or is this fellow always this way?.

    • @skbenergy
      @skbenergy  9 лет назад +1

      Timothy M hey thanks man :) always a pleasure to entertain my aviation people.... now about that ATC communication i did sense something there i think the AA 757 were eager to get out but ATC let all landing traffic landed first. ATC could of been having a bad day or that's the way he talks lol lol i guess ?

    • @lanzorobinson3112
      @lanzorobinson3112 9 лет назад

      +SKBenergy 757 could've left long before those planes landed if its the ATC decision to delay the 757-200 due to negligence then that wouldn't be a great idea since he would be costing that airline money, but it seems here in the video that the 757-200 entered the runway the wrong way and perhaps without tower control clearance

    • @skbenergy
      @skbenergy  9 лет назад

      Lanzo Robinson the 757 did get clearance to enter the runway but they did not have there numbers ready so atc told them they had to get off the runway due to incoming traffic

    • @jstuttgart
      @jstuttgart 8 лет назад

      +SKBenergy Wouldn't a holding point at the end of the runway have prevented that? Perhaps that needs to be incorporated into future development of the airfield. Also perhaps a full length parallel taxiway so as to prevent aircraft taxing on the runway.

    • @skbenergy
      @skbenergy  9 лет назад

      +Geoffrey Rhymer American was not ready at the time of lining up on the runway....so they had to get off and allow the incoming traffic to land :) !!!

    • @skbenergy

      Geoffrey Rhymer well there was a lot of incoming traffic at the same time, AA from Miami, Delta from Atlanta, a small beach-craft and seaborne from San Juan, a small private jet to lol lol ATC was kept busy

    If the British Airways 777 has GE 90 that would be a 777-200lr

    • @skbenergy
      @skbenergy  8 лет назад

      no no no...there are GE-90's on some 200's but they are a little smaller than the ones on the LR and 300 ER

    • @isisgriffiths7174
      @isisgriffiths7174 8 лет назад

      Well GE90 is only on 777-200lrs and 777-300ers 777-200ers don't have GE90 i think it's rolls royce on the 777-200ers.

    • @skbenergy
      @skbenergy  8 лет назад

      ***** my friend please to do some research on the GE-90 as there are about 7 variations to it ok.....seems you need to educate your self on the ones on the 200 series which are optional :)

    • @skbenergy
      @skbenergy  9 лет назад

      Abdulla Bin Talib Yes Nevis is a other island, together with St. Kitts we are one country... The Federation of St Kitts and Nevis, the islands are just 3 miles apart :)... Nevis has a smaller airport with mostly prop service the name is Vance Amory airport.. you can stay to the end of St Kitts and see planes landing in Nevis as the airport is at the tip of the island
