Martyn is departing for his new job this Friday, but before he can embark on the cruise ship, he needed to renew some certificates. He travelled to Guildford and Southampton for this and he took you along. He even fitted a cheeky trip to Calshot Beach into his day!

I used to live in Guildford when I was at uni ! It is quite nice there (some parts)... now I am back on the South East coast with lots of shingly beaches! It was cool to see 'a day in the life of Martyn' XD road trips are the best (especially stopping for food at services and exploring new places) and it is super lovely of Helena to get you hot choccy and a film ready for when you get in!! xx

Ah in my neck of the woods! My girlfriend has a beach hut at Calshot beach - and the ‘hills’ you pointed at was actually the Isle of White 😂

I went on a year 8 residential trip to calshot (18 years ago 😳) we did the velodrome and the slopes :) it was really cold and wet when we went, I don’t remember the beach being that close! X

Just a quick question. Is going to a Disney theme park in the summer for someone with anxiety issues (trouble around big crowds). Or is it better to go when it is less busy for example school holidays. Many Thanks,

I think if you don't like big crowds it would be better to go when it's not the school holidays, as will be a lot less busy :) If you do go during school holidays, early in the morning and later on in the evening are the less busy times in the parks, so I would avoid around midday :) Hope that helped!
