I’m very surprised that Nokta has not gotten back to you. I had to send my Garrett pinpointer to Garrett 2 weeks ago. I got it back yesterday, they sent a brand new unit at no charge. Nokta is a people company, they really care about the customer. This surprises me.
I am surprised too, as I have heard the same thing about Nokta's customer service. I am still waiting to hear back from them as of this moment, and starting to get a little worried to be honest. I hope they will reach out soon. I will update if I do get anywhere with this issue. Glad to hear that Garrett took care of that for you, that is how it should be. Thank you so much for watching!
A couple things to try…..turn the sensitivity down a couple notches. Change the frequency and see if that is the problem. Otherwise, might get in touch with Your dealer or Nokta and see if it needs to be returned. I’ve got one, but haven’t had any problems as of yet.
I have tried both turning down the sensitivity and changing frequencies and still had it malfunction. I have reached out to Nokta twice and it has been a week and I have yet to hear back. I will keep everyone posted if I hear anything from them. I am going to contact the dealer now as well since I don't seem to be getting anywhere with Nokta. I really appreciate your guidance and suggestions, thank you!
Congrats on winning the Accupoint! I am glad to hear that yours is working well so far. I am hoping that I am just the unlucky one who got a dud. I will be sure to keep everyone up to date on how this plays out. Happy Hunting!
I actually have gotten a replacement and have had it out a couple of times and it seems to be working okay so far. It is a nice pointer, you will be happy with it! Thank you for watching!
Hey it may be a bit premature to write it off just yet I was thinking that they were heading in the right direction with it, and that sounds a bit like a warning like it was left on. But it may need a reset or something and of course get in touch with Nokta they are very good as far as taking care of the end users. I did have high hopes for it.
I am hoping I will hear back from Nokta soon (it has been a week so far with no response) I am hoping they can give me some insight as to the reason this could be happening. I really hope you are right, and they help me with this. After your suggestion of it possibly being the warning/left on alarm, I decided to test this theory. I tested the "Lost Alarm" to see if it will replicate what I am experiencing and it only will go off if the device is not used for 5 minutes and it lets out a quick double beep with a pause then a double beep and this continues until you press the button. While using the pinpointer out in the field, I checked my raw footage and timed from when I last handled it to when it beeped and it was never as long as 5 minutes. Also the beep was continuous for me. That was a great suggestion and I am glad you mentioned it so I could test this theory. I really appreciate you watching and offering your insight.
Thanks! Nokta actually just got back to me yesterday saying they will look into it. Hopefully they will get back to me soon with an update. Thanks for watching!
I throughly enjoy my Nokta Simplex and the Legend but I think I’ll stay with my Garrett Carrot. It may only have low, medium and high sensitivity with tone/vibrate or vibration but it’s proven and tough. The only feature I like about the Acupoint is volume control.
I actually just found out I am getting a replacement Accupoint from Nokta, so I hope the new one will be good. I hear that the Garrett Carrot is very good and reliable, that would probably be my next choice if I wasn't getting the replacement. Fingers crossed everything works out! Happy Hunting!

Thank you so much! Nokta is sending me a replacement and I should be getting it soon. I plan on featuring it in a future video to hopefully show that the new one will work the way it is supposed to. I feel that it is only right to follow up on this issue, especially if the new pointer works well and give a fair overall review of the product and company response. Thanks for watching and Happy Hunting!
WOW, another great video. I bet that's a huge disappointment to get a new toy and have it flub up like that. I have a cheap Kuman KW30 Pinpointer that works well, and I have a Garrett pin pointer that I will be using a lot next season. Both seem to work well.
Thank you, it is disappointing for sure! I am glad you are liking your pin pointers, they are essential tools that we all rely on. Thanks for watching!
Mine does that noise, just tap the on off and it goes away, just before the red line starts there is a icon, the reviewer said it was spinning to recalibrate the pp. it’s too close to the detector anyway. It’s very sensitive.
Nokta has replace that pinpointer since that video. I now use the new one with my legend and pair it to the headphones. It seems to work fine most of the time. One thing I notice, is when I am searching the pointer sometimes falses and I have to press the button to reset it. It is a little irritating when I don't realize that it is doing it and I am wasting time chasing a ghost signal lol. Thanks for the help, I really appreciate your advice!
Thanks for letting me know your pinpointer choice. I like to hear fist hand opinions on products, especially when they are and expensive purchase. Thanks for watching!
I did try changing the frequencies on the pinpointer, that is a really great suggestion. It still malfunctioned unfortunately. I did get my replacement AccuPoint from Nokta and it seems to be working fine so I am relieved, to say the least. I really appreciate you watching and offering your advice, thank you, happy hunting and Merry Christmas!
Hi Sweetdigz, have you tried to change the frequency on the pinpointer when it acts up? Could be interfering with the detector. On my Garrett carrot, mud packs in the speaker grill and mutes the sound. Cheers😊
Yes I have tried changing the frequency and even have turned off my detector completely and still had the issue. That is good to know about the Garrett Carrot speaker grill and mud. Thanks for sharing your suggestions and input, I really appreciate it. Thanks for watching!
Wow thats a bummer I hope that it gets corrected or figured out. When I started using the Xp Mi-6 I had all kinds of issues that turned out to be operator error and it was really frustrating. I was really excited to see the acupoint in action…I saw that it can change frequencies, was that the issue?
I hope it gets corrected too. As of right now, I am still waiting for a response from Nokta. I wish they would just reach out and let me know how to proceed with this issue. Either way it would be nice of them to acknowledge my multiple inquiries instead of leaving me with no response. I have tried everything including changing frequencies and even turning off my metal detector to remove any interference and it still malfunctions. I appreciate the suggestion. It is just very frustrating when you purchase an expensive item and it doesn't work. I will be sure to update everyone as this plays out. Glad you got your pinpointer issues figured out! Pinpointers are an essential tool and need to be reliable. How are you liking the Xp Mi-6 pointer now?

But….first gen new gadgets tend to have gremlins so maybe I’ll wait for the next gen or an update on what is causing that issue. Frustrating for sure.
I have the exact same problem with nokta accupoint, it just goes crazy at random, I press the button once (recalibrate) and it stops, but its annoying.. seems like it goes off when I bump into things too.. and also would be good with more volume levels, cause its loud even on low.
Sorry to hear that you are having the same issue. For the volume, I removed the plastic amplifier piece (inside the cap where you charge it) That makes a difference. I agree it is loud lol.
I have 2 Accupoint pinpointers and mine acts just like yours and I am not impressed with the depth either. That is why I will be selling the one still in the box and I have ordered the XP mi4.

Since this video, Nokta has replaced the pinpointer for me. I now use my new Accupoint along with my Legend and so far I have had no issues. I do feel that this product was rushed out too soon and that may be why there were issues with them. I have heard from others that they had the same issues with their AccuPoint. Having said that I love that it is rechargeable and the charge lasts a good while. And I like how it pairs with the Legend headphones. The depth is not as good as I would have hoped but still decent.
