Listening to MdB for more than 3 decades ... they have different sides, some gothic, some more death... but all doom. Just check them out chronically. They are fuckin' awesome, helped me coping with loss, depression, pain & agony. There is no favourite song but many of them. But definetly listen top Crown of Sympathy, 2 Winters only, Catherine Blake, dreadful hours, tapestry, wreckage of my flesh.... and many more
I can't wait for the year twenty-fifth-three guys! 😂 My Dying Bride is maybe a little bit of a niche, even within the Doom genre. In a way, it makes them a little unique. Always enjoyed their musical style (pace and tempo) and mix of gothic/erotic/doom and death lyrics and vocals. Many of their songs have violin as well.. so I might suggest one of those soon. One of the most distinctive features is the way Aaron contorts and moves, his presence on stage is felt and he's not afraid to play the show! There are songs I prefer from them, but trying to find nice clean audio/video from a 90's band isn't the easiest thing to do. Anyways, awesome reaction video.. really looking forward to what you think of Draconian soon.
One of the originators of doom/death and still doin' their very own thing. If you want to continue your journey w/ them, I can recommend some songs through out their career. -Turn Loose The Swans -Two Wintets Only -My Hope, The Destroyer -My Body, A Funeral -The Wreckage Of My Flesh -My Wine In Silence -Abandoned As Christ -I Celebrate Your Skin
Oh, btw, Lena Abé, the bassist next to Aaron (singer) is his gf or wife, pretty sure. I'm not one to go look for that info, but on many interviews they are always very close, like sitting on one another type deal.
Ive been into this band since the beginning over 30 years .this song is off my least favourite album..songs of darkness or line of deathless kings are my personal favourites but theres a lot of albums a lot of variety..there still going today but have kindoff dropped of a little bit the last few years
guys, if you like doom, I still recommend checking out other veterans of the genre. For example with paradise lost and early Tiamat. My dying bride is somewhat monotonous and suffers too much
Жалко вас, бо Версія 2002 року, концертна - те, що ви втратили поясню: зараз, Аарон, вокаліст - співає цю пісню в стилі "Харш". В 2002-му - це був самий спражній Гроул!..
Welcome to MDB! Favourite song choice is tough to decide but I'd have to say From Darkest Skies. It encapsulates their desperate sorrow so perfectly
One of the best Gothic Doom Metal bands of the Universe.
death,doom,gothic metal.

Great band in the world
I don't know, too much whining from them. I understand what the genre implies, but still, this is the most "suffering" band even in this genre)))

-Turn Loose The Swans
-Two Wintets Only
-My Hope, The Destroyer
-My Body, A Funeral
-The Wreckage Of My Flesh
-My Wine In Silence
-Abandoned As Christ
-I Celebrate Your Skin
The choral parts you could hear would've been the keyboard/violinist up the back of the stage, to the side of the drums.
If you want to hear really next level vocal control of singer, I recommend Queen Bee - Fire performance from The First Take RUclips channel, insane!
My hope the destroyer is the best song
Analize Thy ravens wings
the best gothic doom band on the planet to sea of suffering great song

Their new album is amazing IMO, but then I loved the "A light at the End of the World" album also😀
