I heard that the author said Naomi was planned to last longer, but she ended up being too smart, so she would’ve solved the case and the story would end too soon if she wasn’t killed off. Also, there’s a prequel about the case she worked on with L, but you should probably wait until after you finish the series, because it also includes a character from much later in the show. I don’t know if you have any way to make a video out of it, but I thought you should know anyway.
I don't think its out of character for him to be this cautious because if you think about psychology, this is the psychology of a serial killer. Not all of them are so careful of course, but in general its something history has taught us about pre-meditated murder and malicious people.
I don't want to say anything because of spoilers but I disagree on him being an anti-hero he is a textbook villain in my opinion. The Punisher is a great example of an anti-hero, not Light.

Btw the punisher thinks very similarly to light, if he had a death note he would use it instead of killing criminals himself But outside of being protagonist of their stories, both are morally wrong
@@andralfoo I never said you can't have a villain as a protagonist, some my favorite shows and movies have what people consider "bad guys" including Death Note, W40K is one my favorite universes and there is no good guys there. An anti-hero is a hero who lacks heroic traits, Light is a villain who who does villainous acts, he never did it because of doing something good he did it because he wants to be the god of the new world he wants to create, he quickly reveals his true self as he starts killing innocent people who he thinks are opposing his ideals. The only similar thing between The Punisher and Light is that they think criminals must be punished/killed, Frank Castle doesn't have a god complex and he is willing to commit suicide if he thinks he has killed an innocent person and he himself knows he's just as deserving of punishment as the criminals he has killed, now Light would never think that of himself.

Episode 7 is where it solidified to me that Light isn't an anti-hero. He's the villain protagonist of the story, which is quite interesting. You can go on a massive discussion on morals all you want... it isn't heroic in the slightest to have someone smugly laugh and look down on an innocent person you sentenced to death simply cos they oppose you. Its clear Light takes pleasure in one upping everyone, and that this is all just a big power trip and not about justice at all. Feel free to disagree, but that's how I see it.
Light ended all world wars and dropped the crime rate by 70%, To say thats villain logic just makes you look like a complete idiot and a horrible person. You'd rather have people around the world raped and murdered in huge numbers , genocide committed, family, child abuse, pedophiles, all crime!!!! Kira scared evil people, evil dictator countries, evil gangs, pretty much the worst people you can imagine away making sure they never commit horrible crimes. Light made the world better and thats a fact! Hes an necessary evil, and if you are against that you deserve the worst.

Sure, L is doing that for greater good but so does the Light but just to an extreme extent. Regardless, none of them actually cares about good or bad (evil or justice). very good reaction, i just can't understand why you watch these animes in english dub, because the original cast and seiyus are so much better than english dub
Thank you. I am sure the original is much better, but it was also heavily suggested to watch English dub for this series. For me it’s a lot easier to understand when I can watch without reading text, I’m pretty new to anime! Maybe I will watch original after to get a better picture of the voice acting.

Oh yea this anime is one of the few that sounds perfect in English dub than subbed.
