Hollerwood Washout 20240713

I have went through this trail in Slade at Hollerwood going to Harmon Hills for years. Never had to use the winch in this spot but it added to the fun. I think James Couch could had made it had he stayed up on the ridge. It's the worst this spot has ever been, but we made some good memories here this time!

Yeah this spot has gotten pretty gnarly! Just went through here myself too last weekend. Got a video on my Instagram lol- same as my username here.

Why did everyone follow the same exact same line? Even though no one was able to get through before them?

Great question! A reminder that videos don't give terrain the justice it deserves in person. Really unless you wanted to flip over on your side. you could only keep your front driver side in the deep rut or try to get that same tire up on the ridge which one guy tried and then slipped off. Keep in mind also that this spot was slippery as snot as well.

@@hunternott9028, good points, I agree. When we ride if the first guy gets stuck we then try a different line or approach and see who can figure out a successful route. A form of friendly challenge to see who can beat the trail conditions.
