I appreciate your saying it's not the bets for writing a novel.
Thanks for the walkthrough. This video helped me decide it was worth the switch to iA Writer.
Glad you liked it
Best app ever it’s the app that I use every day. I bought the windows version, iOS version and Mac version.
Great video. I've been using iA Writer since it was released. Some of the newer focus features had passed me by, so thanks for the video reminder.
They recently added a nice one for creating links between notes too
I came late to this video. I already had the app for iPad and loved it, but in less than a year the app now costs 60euros in Spain for my Mac.... I think the price hike is excessive.
Price went up to 59.99€ in Italy. I think they have no idea that an average salary in Italy is around 1300€/month
Great video thank you
Is it possible to activate the indentation as in Word? I'm using the trial version and I can't find that option.
I can't get a straight answer if it's possible to copy and paste within what you are writing. I am not a perfect writer and I will often need to copy an paste.
In truth I find moving things around in iA Writer to be a PITA on an iPad. Due in part to the small screen, and tiny letters, and in part due to the difficulty of moving through a lengthy document moves of this sort may be theoretically possible but practically unwise. Quite honestly although I've used iA Writer on my iPad for several years I seldom, if ever, attempt to do serious writing with it. It's kind of okay for brief notes and the like but the idea of writing an even medium length article with it gives me the chills. A novel? You're kidding right?
Thanks for sharing! I have used Rephrasely for most of my content writing. Have you tried that one?
No but I will check it out
Price hike from $29.99 to $49.99
Yeah. This is ridiculous 😢
I bought it 4.50 😂
It costs 59.99€ in Italy. That’s just crazy
to $69.99
Around 7:50 you didn't edit your video correctly, we can see you starting the same sentence multiple times.
thanks for the feedback, fixed
Will it rephrase paragraphs? or grammar check like Grammarly???
I need iA writer to write me Grant proposals for a non-profit
It’s £45 now
I never realised it was significantly cheaper.... :(
The worst app ever!!! Way too expensive for this nonsense
Why do you say that? Curious
a bit useless isnt it? Free notepad or vim do same
Nope
I liked this app so much a few years ago, I got the desktop version. I thought I'd pick up the iOS version today and my jaw hit the floor when I saw that they're charging $50. Are you people kidding me? $50 for an overly simplified iOS word processing app. Really?
to be fair they update the app regularly with new features
Too minimalist - only choice of their 3 embedded fonts, and only white-on-black or black-on-white. By design. Because they don't trust users to choose their own fonts or select colors. I'll take Ulysses or Highland_2 any day over this. (Which I do own.)
That’s the point of the app… lol
@@notwisco9831 Yes, if the point of the app is to deny users their choice of font, size, color and background they've spectacularly succeeded. But if users want to be trusted to use their favorite fonts, if they have eye problems necessitating larger font sizes, or they don't want high-contrast black-on-white or white-on-black they're much better served elsewhere.
This isn't worth Jack crap.
You've shown ZERO actual AI writting for you at all.
I think you’re looking for an AI writing tool. IA writer is another type of tool, it doesn’t support AI writing. I cover some AI writing tools in this article becomeawritertoday.com/best-ai-writing-assistant/
it's IAWriter, not AI Writer, lol.
First things first here at the App Store iA Writer costs a whopping $49.99…ah heck let's just call it $50.00! Let's face it that's a lot of dough for a pretty small loaf of bread. Next up while I admit that many of the formatting options in MS Word are really not needed by a "writer" I find Mark Up commands a great deal more distracting than a tab bar and menu list at the top of the screen. This young fellow obviously has a mind that moves faster than a speeding bullet (in truth I watched this video 3 times and I still have a hard time following his demos they are done at such a blistering pace!) so it may well have taken him just a few moments to memorize the iA Writer markups…but it will take me days, if not weeks! Finally I have been using an earlier version of iA Writer for 5 years and have in excess of 200,000 words of documents stored in it. But when I turned on my new iPad yesterday I discovered that I no longer have access to any of those words unless I pony up a $50 fee for the latest version of iA Writer (well actually only $49.99). In other words I've become a prisoner of an App that originally sold for something like $10! Buyer Beware!
Prices do change per month and per year. I still use IA Writer a lot but yeah many of these apps have moved to a subscription model
And I think you need to pay another 50bucks if you also want it on your phone and iPad. That’s 100dollars total. With Ulysses you at least get access to everything for those 5.99dollars pr. month.
Price sucks, but the app actually stores .txt files, you just need to find the folder where is located, in Mac you you can use the “reveal in finder” function to find your files
